Cinnabon Introduce
Introduction / Overview
When it comes to the iconic aroma of warm cinnamon and cream cheese frosting, few names resonate as strongly as Cinnabon. However, as any seasoned New Yorker knows, the quality of a franchise can vary wildly depending on who is behind the counter. For residents of the Bronx and the surrounding New York City area, the search for the perfect, "ooey-gooey" cinnamon roll often leads to a specific destination: the Cinnabon located at 2166 White Plains Rd. This isn't just another mall kiosk; it is a bakery hub that has earned a reputation for excellence, freshness, and a level of customer care that is increasingly rare in the fast-paced world of NYC food service.
The difference at this particular Bronx location lies in the commitment to quality and the hands-on approach of the management. While other franchised spots might serve pre-packed items that have lost their luster, the team here, led by the highly regarded owner Chakee, prioritizes the "fresh out of the oven" experience. Local patrons have noted that this location stands out significantly compared to others in the borough, such as those on 3rd Avenue or Fordham Road. Here, the focus is on the craft—ensuring every roll is moistened with the right amount of cinnamon mix and topped with a generous hand. Whether you are a local resident or willing to make the 25-minute drive from another part of the city, this bakery has become a gold standard for dessert lovers who refuse to settle for anything less than perfection.
Beyond the signature rolls, this location offers a unique multi-brand experience. It serves as a triple-threat dessert destination, combining the best of Cinnabon with the salty-sweet favorites of Auntie Anne’s and the classic ice cream treats of Carvel. This synergy makes it a one-stop shop for families, commuters, and anyone with a meticulous palate for high-quality sweets. The cleanliness of the facility and the transparency of the baking process—where you can often watch your treats being boxed straight from the pan—have solidified its status as a premier Bronx bakery.
Location and Accessibility
Conveniently situated at 2166 White Plains Rd, Bronx, NY 10462, USA, this bakery is located in a bustling commercial corridor that is easily accessible to the local community. For those navigating the Bronx, White Plains Road is a major thoroughfare, making the shop a straightforward destination for those traveling by car or public transit. The accessibility of this location is a major draw for customers who have grown tired of the high fees and unpredictable quality associated with delivery apps. Many locals find that making the physical trip to this address not only guarantees a fresher product but also results in significant cost savings compared to third-party delivery services.
The shop is well-positioned for those living in the Pelham Parkway, Van Nest, and Morris Park neighborhoods. For New Yorkers using the subway, the 2 and 5 trains serve the White Plains Road line, providing a convenient commute to the vicinity. The storefront is designed for efficiency, allowing customers to pop in and out quickly, though the friendly atmosphere often encourages staying a bit longer to chat with the staff. Its co-location with Carvel and Auntie Anne’s makes it an even more attractive destination, as it provides a variety of snack options in a single, well-maintained storefront.

What is Worth Choosing
If you are looking for the absolute peak of the Cinnabon experience at this location, there are several items that are worth your attention. First and foremost, the Strawberry Cheesecake Cinnabon is a revelation. Local fans describe it as "literally better than anything" they have ever had, thanks to the use of fresh strawberry preserves and a delicious, crunchy crumb topping. When paired with the signature cream cheese frosting, it creates a flavor profile that is both decadent and refreshing.
For the traditionalists, the Classic Cinnabon remains a top choice, but with a specific recommendation: ask for them to be pulled straight from the pan. When you watch the staff box them while still steaming, you are guaranteed that "melt-in-your-mouth" texture that defines the brand. Many regulars also suggest ordering extra frosting on the side. Unlike the skimpy portions found elsewhere, the staff here is generous with the cream cheese spread, allowing you to customize the moisture level of your roll to your exact preference.
Finally, don't overlook the "weekend special" combinations. Because this location is shared with Auntie Anne’s, the cinnamon and sugar pretzel bites are a fantastic addition to any order, providing a different texture but the same beloved flavor profile. Whether you prefer the caramel-topped variety or the original, the key at 2166 White Plains Rd is to communicate your preferences. The team here thrives on making the dessert exactly how the customer wants it, whether that means extra toppings, a specific box mix, or a fresh-baked guarantee. It is this dedication to the "A-list" customer experience that makes this Bronx bakery well worth the trip.

So I decided to drive my fat azz to white plains road because I have been ordering cinnabon off of door dash , which believe it or not 4 topped cinnabons & 4 extra frostings usually cost me almost $51.00. They would only deliver from this one location. The third avenue location in the Bronx by E.149th Street. After putting in many orders and praying to get different results.Every time it never happened , the Cinnabons , I was buying were drier than a nun's vag🤣... and they were rock hard every single time.So this is why I decided to try a different location.Lucky me meets the owner.I think his name was Chakee.. When I explained to him how many times I lost out on money with the DoorDash, he felt so compelled to help me.This man ended up giving me & cinnabons ,2 topped with caramel and cream cheese frosting, 2 topped originally & 2 strawberry cheesecake ( which OMFGGGG is literally better than ANYTHING I've ever had in my life!!! The fresh strawberry preserves the delicious crumb on top and the owner was very heavy, handed with the toppings. Because I told him don't be shy and trust me. He wasn't he literally has just created another customer. I'm willing to make the drive. I don't care. It takes me 25 minutes, but I believe now. After I saw how my cinnabons were the next 2 days and I watched him put ones that he had just taken out of the oven into my box cuz, that's how I wanted them. I knew that the place on 3rd Avenue has been serving us boxes of cinnabons that have probably been sitting in there for at least 2 days again, this place absolutely outstanding. Not only does it have Cinnabon, but it's combined with Carvel, & Auntie Anne's.. i can be a pain and I can be meticulous with how I like my dessert, but I'm willing to spend the money, that's not my issue, just make it how I want it.And this is exactly what this gentleman did.For me , he even told me that anytime I come and just ask for him that made me feel like his new A-list celebrity customer. But seriously, all cinebuns are mostly franchised, so not every owner is going to be the same. The place that owns the 1 on 3rd Avenue also owns the one on Fordham, and again, I've had very bad experiences with both locations. I am so happy to tell you guys that if you like cinnabons, even when they take them out of the PAN, the other locations, it was so dry as if they didn't put any of that. Ooey gooey delicious. Cinnamon mix to moisten up the bottom of the PAN and roll the cinnabons in it was loaded and it just it made all the difference in the world when I tell you that I knew I legitimately have fresh cinnabons from this location and the other 2 locations were serving. Me. Cinnabons, that were days old, and they only do that when they're prepacked.Let me tell you the best part.I didn't even walk out spending $51 like I do with DoorDash. Chakee gave me 6 Cinnabons, 4 Extra Frostings & then he threw in my daughter's absolute favorite cinnamon and sugar pretzel bites I was ONLY charged $38!!! I'm thinking to myself , I just spent $13 less & EVERYTHING WAS BOMB..LITERALLY BAKED BEYOND PERFECTION!!! So if you're in the area , this is definitely the location to go to support him , he's an amazing gentleman and I love business owners who treat customers so great. And if you're not that close, but you have a car, it's definitely well worth the ride.Instead of chancing a level location where you're not going to get the same taste in quality
