Located in the bustling Chelsea/Midtown South area, Bagel Pub at 350 7th Ave is more than just a standard counter-service deli. It is a vibrant culinary destination that caters to the diverse needs of New Yorkers, from the busy office worker in a rush to the weekend brunch seeker looking for a comfortable place to relax. From the perspective of a local user, this shop represents the perfect intersection of traditional New York bagel craftsmanship and a modern, welcoming atmosphere that feels like a true neighborhood "pub."

Unlike the cramped, utilitarian layouts of many historic bagel shops in the New York region, this location offers a spacious and thoughtfully designed interior. It features a cozy, Irish-pub-inspired aesthetic with warm wood tones and comfortable seating that invites you to hang out rather than just grab your order and run. For locals, this is a significant advantage in a neighborhood where public seating is often a luxury. Whether you are catching up with a friend or taking a moment to breathe before heading into a long shift, the environment at Bagel Pub provides a grounded, friendly refuge in the middle of the city's 10001 zip code.

What is worth choosing
Navigating the massive menu at Bagel Pub can be overwhelming, especially when you are faced with over 30 types of cream cheese, but there are some clear winners that are worth choosing for an authentic experience. For those who enjoy a sweeter start to the day, the toasted blueberry bagel paired with the mixed berry cream cheese (a delightful blend of strawberry and blueberry) is a local favorite. This combination is often described as a "10/10" experience, especially when paired with their ice-cold lemonade for a refreshing breakfast contrast. The fruit-infused cream cheeses are a specialty here and showcase the shop's ability to innovate within the bagel category.
If you are a fan of traditional New York staples, the classic combo with lox, cream cheese, and scallions is a solid choice. While some regular patrons suggest being specific if you prefer a more generous lox-to-bagel ratio, the quality of the ingredients ensures a tasty and reliable meal every time. Because the bagels are made fresh on-site, opting for a toasted version of any flavor is highly recommended to appreciate the crunchy exterior and soft, chewy center. Whether you are looking for a reliable "best bagel" contender or just a high-quality morning meal, choosing Bagel Pub on 7th Avenue provides a consistent, enjoyable, and uniquely Manhattan experience. Don't be afraid to experiment with the cream cheese varieties—with 30 options, you are almost guaranteed to find a new favorite every time you visit.
In conclusion, Bagel Pub is a cornerstone of the Chelsea community, offering a blend of speed, variety, and comfort that is hard to find elsewhere. By focusing on the craft of bagel making while providing a space that feels like home, they have earned their reputation as a must-visit spot in the New York region. Stop by, watch the bagels roll out of the oven, and dive into a world of cream cheese possibilities.

This gem was right next to my hotel and I couldn’t have been more grateful 🥹 it was nice to see the bagels being freshly made in front of you ! I couldn’t believe my eyes seeing at least 30 different types of cream cheese 🤯 I fell in love with this place immediately ❤️ I ordered a toasted blueberry bagel with mixed berry cream cheese (strawberry+blueberry) and an ice cold lemonade to pair with as my breakfast. The service was quick and friendly. Definitely coming back here 10/10

The bagels were good, but not exactly unforgettable. We had the classic combo with lox, cream cheese, and scallions tasty overall, but they could’ve been a bit more generous with the lox. The place itself was really nice though, with a cozy Irish pub vibe that made it a great spot to hang out. Solid experience, just not “best bagel of my life” level.

Overall rating: 1.7/5 Food: 2/5 Service: 1/5 Atmosphere: 2/5 The food is listed without pricing and I have been getting all sorts of inconsistent prices on the same order for the past few days. The service is terrible cause I asked for some extra milk for my latté but they mistakenly gave me a hot chocolate (someone else’s order) and I added to my latté. Then the cashier came to me and demanded that I pay for the hot chocolate! I was amazed at the absurdity. Their staff who barely spoke English, obviously didn’t understand what I was saying. This was just one problem. Another problem is that they do not list any prices other than their menu. Hence their prices were erratic for the same order. I had three different prices for the same order for three days. The breakfast sandwich was … very average and the latte the same. The scone was truly a disappointment. I am a making a very honest and accurate review. Many people come here for just the “on the way convenience” factor.

Not only was my bagel not ready well after my pickup time but when the staff finally turned around to help me they tell me it’s coming and then wait another 5 minutes to tell me they’re out of the bagel I ordered. When I tell them to give me something else they don’t toast it (like was on my original order) but by that point I was running late for my train so I just grabbed it and left. Would’ve been enjoyable were it not for the careless service

This is such a cute little bagel shop. I loved the nutella spread with my blueberry bagel, there were these delicious chocolate chunks that added such a unique balance unlike anything I've ever had before. The only downside is there really is no seating, and its a bit of a cramped up area but it works perfectly for anyone just trying to grab and go. Overall really fresh and delicious bagels.
