Pan Fino Introduce
In the vibrant heart of Queens, New York, where the culinary landscape is as diverse as the residents themselves, Pan Fino stands as a quintessential neighborhood establishment. Located in the 11372 zip code of Jackson Heights, this local favorite serves a dual purpose that is common in the most beloved New York eateries: it is both a dedicated bakery and a provider of hearty, traditional meals. For those of us living in the five boroughs, finding a spot that offers the comfort of a home-cooked Colombian meal alongside the enticing aroma of fresh-baked breads is a true win. Pan Fino has cultivated a reputation for being a reliable destination where the flavors of South America are accessible to everyone from long-time residents to curious food explorers.
Jackson Heights is world-renowned for its authentic international cuisine, and Pan Fino contributes to this reputation by focusing on the traditional "Paisa" culinary heritage of Colombia. The atmosphere is friendly and professional, providing a casual setting that is perfect for a quick morning pastry or a sit-down lunch with a partner. For New Yorkers, value is just as important as flavor, and Pan Fino strikes a balance that keeps the community coming back. It is the kind of place where you can find a substantial meal that fills you up without breaking the bank—a rare and appreciated find in today's city environment. Whether you are craving the classic sweetness of a bakery treat or the savory satisfaction of a full platter, this establishment offers a slice of Colombian culture right on Northern Boulevard.
Location and Accessibility
Conveniently situated at 85-01 Northern Blvd, Jackson Heights, NY 11372, USA, Pan Fino occupies a prime piece of real estate on one of the busiest and most iconic thoroughfares in Queens. Northern Boulevard serves as a major artery for the borough, meaning the bakery is exceptionally easy to find for anyone navigating the area. Its location is a significant advantage for those who work nearby or for residents who pass through the intersection of Jackson Heights and Corona during their daily routines. The storefront is visible and welcoming, fitting seamlessly into the energetic streetscape of the neighborhood.
Accessibility is a high priority for any New York business, and Pan Fino is well-positioned for those using public transportation. Several MTA bus lines run directly along Northern Boulevard, stopping within a very short walking distance of the entrance. Additionally, the bakery is accessible from major subway hubs in Jackson Heights, including the 7, E, F, M, and R trains at the Roosevelt Avenue-74th Street station, though it requires a bit more of a walk or a quick bus transfer from the train. For those who prefer to drive, Northern Boulevard offers a direct route, although street parking follows the typical competitive nature of Queens. The surrounding area is highly walkable, allowing locals to easily include a stop at Pan Fino as part of their afternoon walk or weekend errand run.

What is Worth Choosing
When you visit Pan Fino, there are several standout options that have earned the praise of local New Yorkers. For those looking for a savory and filling meal, the rice with beans and chicken is a top recommendation. Customers have noted that the chicken pieces are "nice and big," ensuring that the meal is as satisfying as it is flavorful. A unique highlight of this platter is the accompanying banana (maduros), which are cooked to a dark, caramelized finish. While they might look deeply browned, the flavor is exceptional, offering a sweet contrast to the savory beans and rice that many locals find irresistible.
Another classic choice is the Bandeja Paisa, which is the national dish of Colombia. It is a feast on a plate, though experienced diners recommend focusing on the rice, beans, and other components which are consistently delicious. While individual tastes vary regarding the seasoning of specific meats like chicharron, the overall quality of the cooked platters makes them a popular choice for a weekend lunch. Of course, you cannot leave a Colombian bakery without sampling the bread. The "pan fino" (fine bread) that gives the shop its name is a must-buy. Whether you are looking for a soft roll to accompany your dinner or a sweet pastry to enjoy with a coffee, the bakery section offers the freshest examples of traditional Colombian baking. Choosing Pan Fino means opting for a meal that feels homemade and a bakery experience that is deeply rooted in tradition.

Me and my boyfriend went out to eat here. Lately we have been trying new foods they offer like this yummy rice with beans and chicken. Chicken pieces were nice and big I loved it! With some of my favorite banana. They look kinda burned but honestly I don’t mind because it taste better. Around $14 for this so it’s a steal. It filled us both up

I went to buy a salchipapa. The lady at the front was unprofessional she kept doing something else and then got the order wrong. I asked her for two salchipas. And she gave me one. And packed a chicharon. When I noticed the bag had a chicharon and only ine salchipapa. I went to her and asked her why she only gave us one and she said well you said salchipapa and you saw me packing the chicharron. I told her well you could be packing for other orders. She said well theres nothing to do. Mentioned the managers name is Ruben and her name is Carmen. She was super mean and accusing me. She said I heard the two salchipapas but I packed the chicharon and you saw me so theres nothing we can do about this leave. She was so unprofessional!!!!!! And she charged me $23

The place has few issues: 1. Parking!!!!! is a problem to find parking. 2. They don't have a bathroom available for customers, I don't understand why a restaurant don't have a bathroom available for clients, it means wash your hands before you get to pan fino to eat. 3 The worse hamburger I ever had.
