Bagel Nosh Introduce
In the heart of Bergen County, the morning ritual of finding the perfect bagel is a pursuit taken seriously by every local. Bagel Nosh, a long-standing fixture in the Bergenfield community, stands as a traditional destination for those who crave the classic North Jersey bagel experience. Located on the bustling South Washington Avenue, this shop has built its reputation on the fundamentals of the craft: kettle-boiled and oven-baked dough that achieves that essential balance of a golden, slightly crisp exterior and a dense, chewy interior. For residents of Bergenfield and neighboring Dumont and Tenafly, it serves as a reliable hub for a quick morning caffeine fix or a substantial sit-down breakfast before the workday begins.
The atmosphere at Bagel Nosh is characteristic of a high-energy neighborhood deli. It is a place where the scent of toasting everything bagels and freshly brewed coffee fills the air as early as 6:00 AM. While the shop is known for its efficiency in handling the morning rush, it also maintains a connection to the community by offering a space where regulars have been visiting for years. Whether you are stopping in for a "baker's dozen" to bring to the office or looking for a customized omelet to enjoy on a slow weekend morning, the shop emphasizes a wide-reaching menu that goes beyond simple spreads. In a region where bagel shops are plentiful, Bagel Nosh differentiates itself through its extensive variety of specialty sandwiches and its deep roots in the local North Jersey food scene.

Accessibility is a key feature of the storefront, which is located in a high-visibility area with street parking and nearby municipal lots that facilitate quick "in-and-out" visits. What is worth choosing
When visiting Bagel Nosh, the quintessential choice for any local is the "Hobo" or "Bobo" sandwich. These are heavy-duty breakfast options that embody the hearty spirit of North Jersey; they feature Taylor Ham (pork roll) or bacon, egg, and cheese, but with the addition of a crispy hash brown patty pressed right into the bagel. This "all-in-one" breakfast provides a unique contrast of textures that has made it a best-seller for years. For those who prefer a more traditional spread, the Walnut Raisin cream cheese is frequently cited as a standout, offering a rich, sweet, and nutty profile that pairs exceptionally well with a toasted cinnamon raisin or plain bagel.
If you are looking for a lighter start, the "Popeye" breakfast burrito—featuring egg whites, spinach, turkey, and bacon—is a popular choice that doesn't skimp on flavor. For lunch, the "Italian Stallion" hero is a community favorite, loaded with high-quality Boar's Head meats and served with the classic "works" of oil and vinegar. It is also worth keeping an eye on their specialized spreads like the lox cream cheese, which provides a fresh, salty bite that is a hallmark of East Coast bagel culture. Whether you are grabbing a quick coffee or ordering a catering platter for a Sunday brunch, choosing Bagel Nosh ensures you are supporting a local business that understands the specific standards of a true New Jersey bagel lover.

I order on Uber Eats all the time I ask for condiments and I am never charged for it .I was charged $3 for this tiny syrup the eggs was messy and cold plus I didn’t get my homefries included I paid $21 for this basic meal . I placed a similar order 2 months ago and I asked for almond milk in my small ice coffee and they charged me $4 for a sprinkle of milk . This place needs better management and they must stop charging nonsense $3-4 for a small condiment.

What was once a five star bagel now became a zero star experience and a dis taste for bagels as a whole and for the people who work in the business of it. I was basically bantered and chased out of the bagel shop for taking a video of the cream cheese for my beloved partner who’s never been to the East Coast, or experienced East Coast bagels. I was told to shut off the camera no pictures or videos taken as some ploy of power from the owner to tout his dominance in the space. he proceeds to yell at me to get out, never come back just because I told him -no video no business (How do you ever expect to have word pass around about your business or have good reviews with photos and videos for business marketing If no one can take picture / video, I’m pretty sure I was on the bagel Nosh Yelp before I went there to look at pictures of the interior on yelp like the absolute absurdity of this Makes me laugh.. follows me to my car. He takes a picture of my license plate and tells me next time he’ll call the police all because I wanted to share my love for his bagel shop and for East Coast bagel culture with my partner who lives over 2000 miles away. Such a disgrace and lost business from someone who’s been buying bagels for them and has loved their shop for years. A great reminder to check yourself and really think about who you might be talking to. I have no problem writing a Poor interview for a terrible business owner in hopes no one gives them their business anymore either. Also a good reminder to always get to know the business and who you’re giving your money to you before you do.

2023 Pretty good bagel shop and deli. This used to be Bakin Bagels, but changed ownership a few months back. The prices are good and the bagels are good. I havent tried the sandwiches yet under this new management, so i will have to try it next time. I visited around 2pm, so a bit late in the day. Most of the different types bagels were gathered into just 1 bin. Not exactly sure why. The parking lot was empty, so it was easy parking. No other customers, so i got helped immediatly, no wait time. The price for 4 bagels was $5, so i think that is pretty good. It was clean inside and the employee was friendly and service was fast. The look of the bagels were good, not great. Holding the bagels i could tell they were a bit old, (on the slightly hard side but not too hard)... which is partly my fault for visiting late in the day. Cutting into the bagels revealed a nice, soft texture inside. Both the plain and cinnamon raisin bagels tasted ok/good.. but not super amazing delicious. So if you are in Bergenfield and dont want to drive 10 mins for something better, then this is good. However, a 10 min drive to Cresskill Hot Bagels in cresskill or 10 mins to Teaneck Hot Bagels will give you some of the best tasting stuff in NJ! Similarly a roughly 14 min drive to Manhatten Bagels in Englewood NJ is equally yummy as Cresskill Hot Bagels. Pros: Good location Good bagels Good prices Clean Good deli options Good drink selection Free parking Ample parking Cons: Not as delicious as THB, CHB & M Bagels as mentioned above

I am NEVER disappointed when I come here. The people who work here are so nice and treat you like family. I enjoy everything I eat here, whether it's a bagel, a sandwich, platter, etc. I do not live in the area, but I always make a point to stop here when I am in town.

If I could give this place a zero, I would. The staff were incredibly rude and disrespectful from the moment I walked in with my friends, drawn in by the cute interior don't be fooled. it's all aesthetics and no substance. When I tried to order a turkey, egg, and cheese sandwich, I asked if the egg could be cooked separately due to a pork allergy. The person I spoke with flatly refused, stating they didn't have time to clean for me. When I suggested using a different pot, I was met with a simple 'no' and complete indifference. To top it off, as I was entering, another customer was leaving and mentioned they had been throwing up because of something in their food. The complete lack of consideration and disregard for basic customer service is appalling. Save yourself the disappointment and steer clear of this place.
