H&H Bagels Introduce
For many travelers passing through New York, the journey isn't truly complete without experiencing the legendary taste of a local bagel. H&H Bagels, a name synonymous with New York City’s rich culinary history, brings its world-famous recipes to one of the busiest transit hubs in the world: John F. Kennedy International Airport. Located specifically within the bustling Food Court of Terminal 5, this outpost offers a final chance for departing passengers to grab a piece of the Big Apple before they take to the skies. Whether you are a local New Yorker heading out on a business trip or a visitor looking for one last authentic bite, H&H Bagels at JFK provides a familiar, high-energy environment tailored to the unique pace of airport travel.
The H&H brand has been a staple of the New York food scene for decades, known for its traditional preparation methods that result in a bagel with the perfect balance of a chewy interior and a distinctively golden crust. At the JFK Terminal 5 location, the shop adapts this tradition to meet the needs of a global audience. The menu is designed for speed and portability, ensuring that travelers can enjoy a high-quality meal even when they are operating on a tight schedule between security checkpoints and boarding calls. From simple toasted bagels with various spreads to more substantial breakfast sandwiches, this location aims to provide a hearty and satisfying alternative to standard airline fare.
Location and Accessibility
H&H Bagels is located at John F. Kennedy International Airport, JFK Terminal 5, Food Court, Queens, NY 11430, USA. This specific terminal is famously home to JetBlue and several other international carriers, making the bakery highly accessible to a large volume of domestic and international travelers. Because it is situated within the post-security food court area, it is primarily accessible to ticketed passengers who have already cleared the TSA checkpoints. This makes it an ideal spot for those who have reached their gate early and are looking for a place to relax and refuel before their flight.
Navigating Terminal 5 is relatively straightforward, and the Food Court acts as a central hub where various dining options are clustered. H&H Bagels is positioned to serve as a quick-service stop, allowing for easy flow-through even during peak travel times such as early morning departures or holiday rushes. For those arriving at JFK via the AirTrain or local transport, Terminal 5 is easily reached from other terminals or the parking garages. The shop's presence in the food court ensures that it is visible and convenient for anyone walking through the main concourse toward the boarding gates.

What is worth choosing
When deciding what to order at H&H Bagels JFK Terminal 5, the breakfast sandwiches are a clear winner for many travelers. Specifically, the egg and cheese breakfast burger—or the version including bacon—is frequently cited as a "tasty and hearty" option. These sandwiches are prepared to be hot and flavorful, providing a "filling" meal that is exactly what most passengers are looking for before getting on a plane. The combination of the classic H&H bagel with freshly cooked eggs and melted cheese makes for a satisfying pre-flight ritual that stands out in the Terminal 5 food landscape.

Whether you want a quick snack or a full meal, this spot is a solid recommendation for anyone navigating the JFK concourses.
Ultimately, H&H Bagels at JFK Terminal 5 serves as a bridge between the city’s vibrant culinary culture and the logistical demands of modern air travel. I am absolutely disgusted with my food. The bagel was DRENCHED in butter as if they dropped it in bucket of oil. It was not edible at all. I was in disbelief when I got to my gate and grabbed the bagel out of the bag, all of the butter spilled all over my clothes. I have never in life experienced this. I understand this is JFK and the workers have to rush, but there is no excuse for this. I wasted 15$ on two bagels that went straight to the trash. They didn’t even have the decency to cut them in half. NEVER AGAIN.

Right before our flight, we grabbed a couple of breakfast burgers from this café — and honestly, they were really good! I had one with egg and cheese, and my husband had one with egg, cheese, and bacon. Both were hot, flavorful, and super filling, which is exactly what you want before getting on a plane. We both left feeling satisfied and ready to travel 😊 Considering we were at the airport, the price was totally fair — $22 for two sandwiches. Compared to other nearby spots, that felt reasonable 💵✈️ They also wrapped everything in foil, which kept the food warm for a while. So if you’re in a rush or want to take it on the plane, it’s a solid option for an in-flight snack too 🛫 ✅ Tasty ✅ Hearty ✅ Airport-priced, but fair ✅ Easy to take with you 👉 RECOMMEND 🍳 (Personally mine)

Based on the reviews, i expected to find hell on earth here, but i was pleasantly surprised by a relatively cheap airport breakfast that was rather delicious! I got a nicely toasted bacon, egg, and cheese that both looked and tasted great. My wife also enjoyed her tuna salad sandwich. The line moved relatively quickly and I felt like they were churning out orders pretty fast. I maybe waited 15-20 minutes on a busy morning.

I was skeptical due to the reviews but wanted to try a New York Bagel. I am glad I got a breakfast bagel. The ordering process was painless and I got my bagel rather quickly. The team is doing a phenomenal job! I probably should have ordered a bagel without the avocado but I enjoyed my meal! I understand why people say the bagels in New York are the best.

It's not on the menu but your order comes with a free immersive art installation of what hell would be like. The order took over 20minutes so for even the extreme early birds among us be prepared to spend your entire time in the mosh pit in front of the till. The sweat and angst of each passenger rises with every minute that passes. Not safe for those with high anxiety levels. Bagel itself extremely average too. If I could rate 0.5 of a star, I would.
