La P'tite Baguette Shop Introduce
For New Yorkers who crave the authentic flavors of the Caribbean, specifically the rich culinary traditions of Haiti, La P'tite Baguette Shop is a local landmark that delivers a true taste of the island. Located in the heart of Cambria Heights, Queens, this bakery serves as a vital cultural and culinary hub for the neighborhood. While many shops in the city attempt to replicate the delicate balance of a perfect Haitian pastry, La P'tite Baguette Shop stays true to the "old-school" vibes, focusing on traditional recipes that have been passed down through generations. For residents in the area, it is the primary destination for freshly baked breads and the savory meat-filled pastries known locally as pâtés.
The shop operates with a professional yet community-oriented atmosphere, characteristic of the vibrant Caribbean businesses that line Linden Boulevard. It is the type of place where the scent of yeast and warm spices greets you before you even cross the threshold. In a city where fast-paced service often comes at the expense of tradition, this bakery maintains a steady commitment to its craft. Whether you are picking up a dozen patties for a family gathering or a warm baguette for breakfast, the experience at La P'tite Baguette Shop is deeply rooted in the authentic Haitian bakery experience—where the focus is entirely on the quality and freshness of the dough.
Location and Accessibility
La P'tite Baguette Shop is located at 229-24 Linden Blvd, Cambria Heights, NY 11411, USA. This central location in Southeastern Queens makes it an essential stop for locals residing in Cambria Heights, St. Albans, and Laurelton. Linden Boulevard is a major transit artery, which means the bakery is exceptionally easy to find for those commuting between Queens and Nassau County. Its position in a bustling commercial stretch ensures that it is integrated into the daily routine of the local workforce and residents alike.
In terms of accessibility, the shop is well-positioned for quick stops. While street parking can sometimes be a typical New York challenge during peak hours, many customers find it convenient for rapid pickups. For those utilizing public transportation, the shop is served by several bus lines that run along Linden Boulevard, including the Q4 and Q27, making it a convenient pit stop for transit commuters. It is important for visitors to note that the shop typically operates on a cash-only basis, so being prepared before you reach the counter is a key part of the local experience. The service is known to be efficient and quick, often resulting in very short wait times even when a line begins to form.

What is worth choosing
When you visit La P'tite Baguette Shop, the absolute "must-try" item is the Haitian patty (pâté). Among the various fillings, the chicken and the smoked herring patties are frequently cited as the standout choices. The herring patty, in particular, offers a unique, savory smoke-filled flavor profile that is a hallmark of authentic Haitian cuisine. These patties are praised for their excellent taste, providing a satisfying and filling snack or meal component that resonates with island tradition.
For those who prefer bread, the "Pain Créole" (Creole Bread) is highly recommended. It is a denser, slightly sweeter loaf than a standard baguette, making it the perfect accompaniment to avocado, peanut butter, or a hearty soup. If you are feeding a crowd, it is worth choosing the dozen or 18-pack patty deals. While some customers have noted that the patties can be on the flatter side, the richness of the filling and the consistency of the flavor remain a major draw. To get the best experience, pairing a few hot patties with their house-made ginger lemonade provides a refreshing and authentic taste of Haiti right on Linden Blvd. Remember to bring cash to ensure a smooth transaction at this local neighborhood gem.

The taste of the patties are great ! They are too flat and not flaky. No layers . I understand they want to make profits but they also need to make them feel like patties . 18 patties for $28.00+ no debit card accepted .

I bought six each of smoked herring, chicken and codfish patties. All flavors are scrumptious! The lovely little az?lady convinced me to try the smoked herring bread. Also delicious!

Only reason I keep going back there is because the haitian baked patties are the best around. As far as customer service this is non existent in this place. They also do not accept credit card payments.
