Quaker Ridge Bagels Introduce
In the bustling landscape of Westchester County, the quest for the perfect morning bite often leads locals to the North End of New Rochelle. Quaker Ridge Bagels has established itself as a premier destination for those who view breakfast not just as a meal, but as a local tradition. Situated in a region where the "bagel culture" is fiercely competitive, this shop distinguishes itself through a commitment to variety and a deep-rooted passion for the craft. Under the leadership of AJ, an owner who has dedicated over a decade to perfecting the art of the deli and bagel experience, Quaker Ridge Bagels serves as a community staple where the fast-paced New York lifestyle meets small-town hospitality.
For New York residents, a bagel shop is often the heart of the neighborhood, and Quaker Ridge Bagels fulfills this role by offering a menu that is as diverse as the city itself. Whether you are a traditionalist looking for a classic pumpernickel with a precise amount of cream cheese or a modern diner searching for elusive gluten-free options, this establishment caters to every palate. The shop is more than just a place to grab a quick roll; it is a culinary workshop where 95% of the pastries and treats, as well as all salads and spreads, are meticulously prepared in-house. This dedication to "from-scratch" preparation ensures that the flavors are vibrant, fresh, and consistent with the high standards expected by New York food enthusiasts.
Location and Accessibility
Quaker Ridge Bagels is conveniently located at 41 Quaker Ridge Rd, New Rochelle, NY 10804, USA. Positioned in a vibrant commercial area, it is easily accessible for residents of New Rochelle, Scarsdale, and Larchmont. Its proximity to major local thoroughfares makes it a perfect pit-stop for commuters heading toward the city or for parents dropping children off at nearby schools like The Ursuline School. For those navigating the modern transition to electric vehicles, the shop offers a unique logistical advantage; it is situated just down the street from super-fast charging stations, providing the perfect place to hang out and enjoy a meal while your car powers up.
Accessibility at Quaker Ridge Bagels is designed with the "grab-and-go" culture of New York in mind. The shop features plenty of parking, allowing for a stress-free experience during the morning rush. It is an ideal spot for those who prefer to order over the phone and pick up their breakfast on the way to their next destination. Although the facility is compact, the focus remains on high-quality throughput and customer convenience, ensuring that even on busy weekend mornings, your wait is minimal.

What is worth choosing
When visiting Quaker Ridge Bagels, the clear standout for those with dietary restrictions is the gluten-free bagel. Local regulars frequently cite the "Ham, Egg, and Cheese on a gluten-free bagel with salt, pepper, and ketchup" as a default favorite that doesn't feel like a compromise. For those who enjoy a classic New York experience, the pumpernickel bagel is considered by some to be among the best in Westchester County. It is prized for its balanced flavor and perfect texture, especially when paired with a moderate layer of their house-made cream cheese.
If you are looking for a more substantial lunch, the variety of wraps and paninis is well worth exploring. Because the salads and spreads are made on-site, choosing an item like a chicken salad wrap or a panini featuring their house-made jalapeño spread provides a level of freshness that sets this shop apart from standard franchises. While the prices reflect the premium quality of Westchester County, the consensus among locals is that the quality of the ingredients and the expertise of AJ and his team make it well worth the trip. Whether you are grabbing a blueberry bagel for a treat or a robust breakfast sandwich to start your day, Quaker Ridge Bagels offers a slice of New York culinary excellence that is both authentic and welcoming. My family loves the bagels from here. They even have gluten-free bagels here! Ham, egg and cheese on a gluten-free bagel with salt, pepper, ketchup and a large cup of coffee is my default here. AJ, the owner is a young dude that's been perfecting this art for over a decade. 95% of the pastries and treats that are available here are made in house. All the salads and spreads are also made in house. This is the perfect place to hang out while charging your electric car (The super fast chargers located down the street)

We recently had the best pumpernickel and cream cheese bagel probably in Westchester County and we've had a lot of pumpernickel bagels. It was something just right about it and there was not too much cream cheese on it. My tea was nice and hot and tall. Help was wonderful and considerate. They do not make their own bagels and they're shipped in but that's certainly okay. They have a lot of variety of sandwiches, subs, Panini's and wraps to eat. It only has room before people to eat but that's certainly okay. In a place like this you want to buy something and go or order over the phone. There's plenty of parking but no laboratory. Would we recommend it, yes! However, bring all your spare change because they're not cheap. That's surprising. However, no one is cheap anywhere anymore in Westchester because all the store owners are checking advantage of the consumer $11.25 for two bagels and a hot cup of tea. That's not inflation, that's utter overcharging. I could have gotten the same thing for $7.50 plus tax somewhere else but I chose to go here because I was waiting for somebody. This has nothing to do with the quality of the food or the people that I interacted with. It's simple. Things are way overpriced these days. But they are worth a trip.

We were on our way home from NYC and had had real NY bagels during our stay. Our traveling companions wanted to get some bagels to take home so we stopped here. These are not NY bagels. Remember to get your bagels before you leave the city.

Went here for the first time this morning at 6:45am! Very well stocked and was surprised to see a variety of mini bagels- plain, sesame, poppy and cinnamon raisin- for only $1!!! The two men behind the counter were extremely friendly and even provided me with an itemized receipt upon request. Ordered a few bagels in a variety of ways and they were super quick & efficient! Also, prices are extremely reasonable. Bagel with cream cheese for $4! The best part is that it’s on my way to work- I’ll definitely be back!

I was wondering where all the new reviews are! I just went today and I must say, beautiful store. You’ll wait in line but for a good reason. Delicious bagel! I got an onion bagel with jalapeño spread. Prices are reasonable for the quality! Highly recommend you come here.
