Bagel Parlor Introduce
Introduction / Overview
In the quiet, tight-knit neighborhood of Whitestone, Queens, the Bagel Parlor has established itself as a premier destination for those who take their morning rituals seriously. While New York City is famously saturated with bagel shops, Bagel Parlor distinguishes itself through a deep-rooted commitment to generational baking techniques and a "neighborhood-first" philosophy. The shop is led by Gerardo “Jerry” Natale, a third-generation baker who returned to the industry after a fifteen-year hiatus to bring his passion for bread, pizza, and pastry back to the community. Jerry’s expertise isn't just local legend—he is also a Food Network winner, and that professional caliber is evident in every hand-rolled, kettle-boiled bagel that leaves the oven.
Bagel Parlor is more than just a place to grab a quick coffee; it is a culinary experience that blends the traditional feel of an old-school New York appetizing store with modern, gourmet sensibilities. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, often filled with the lively chatter of regulars who consider this their second kitchen. Whether you are coming in for a simple buttered roll or seeking a complex, multi-layered signature sandwich, you are treated to a level of personalized attention and superior service that defines the best of Queens’ small businesses. It is an unassuming storefront that packs a significant punch in terms of quality, flavor, and community spirit.
Location and Accessibility
Located at 14-37 150th St, Whitestone, NY 11357, Bagel Parlor is situated in a convenient, accessible pocket of Northern Queens. For Whitestone residents, it is a local staple easily reached by foot or a short drive. The shop’s position makes it a perfect pit stop for those heading toward the Whitestone Bridge or the Cross Island Parkway. Unlike the more congested parts of downtown Flushing, this area offers a slightly more relaxed pace, allowing for a stress-free morning run.
For those utilizing public transportation, the shop is accessible via local bus routes that service the 150th Street corridor. While street parking in New York is always a consideration, the surrounding neighborhood typically provides manageable options for those making a quick dash inside for their morning order. The shop’s layout is designed for efficiency, catering to the "grab-and-go" crowd while maintaining a welcoming customer area where you can wait for your custom-built sandwich. Travelers and locals alike find that the Parlor’s location strikes a perfect balance between being a hidden gem and a centrally located neighborhood hub.

What is worth choosing
If you are visiting Bagel Parlor for the first time, the "Malba" sandwich is a definitive local favorite, combining scrambled eggs, home fries, bacon, and melted American cheese into a hearty meal that represents the best of a Queens breakfast. For something slightly more refined, "The Tomaso"—featuring tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, roasted peppers, and a signature balsamic glaze—showcases the shop's Italian culinary roots and Jerry’s flair for flavor balancing. If you are watching your carb intake, don't hesitate to ask for your bagel "scooped"; the staff is notably accommodating and will ensure you get the flavor you want with less of the doughy center.
For those hosting an event, the catering services are exceptionally well-regarded. Choosing the wrap and hero baskets is a guaranteed way to impress guests, as the owner, Gerardo, personally oversees the organization and presentation to ensure every dish is "full of flavor" and "beautifully presented." Finally, do not overlook the bakery case. A fresh Sfogliatelle or a Bombolone (Italian doughnut) with Nutella provides a sweet, authentic Italian finish that you won't find at a standard bagel chain. Whatever you choose, make sure to get there early, as the local favorites often sell out before the afternoon closing time. Choosing Bagel Parlor isn't just about breakfast; it's about supporting a local craftsman who brings a "Boomsauce Elite" standard to every hand-rolled bagel.

I recently ordered catering for my party from The Bagel Parlor and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From start to finish, the owner Gerardo was professional, organized, and incredibly easy to work with. The food was absolutely delicious—every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. Our guests are still talking about the appetizers, the heroes and the sheer amount of food that was received. The price was also unbeatable! Overall, I can't thank The Bagel Parlor enough for helping to make my party a huge success. I highly recommend them for any gathering, big or small. I’ll definitely be using them again for future events!

Bagel Parlor Whitestone is a solid spot for bagels in Queens. They were out of flat bagels when I stopped by, but the staff was super accommodating and scooped out a regular bagel for me instead. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese with homefries inside the bagel. The sandwich was almost perfect—great flavor, solid portion—but the homefries could’ve used a bit more crispiness. Still, definitely worth a visit if you're in Whitestone looking for a good breakfast sandwich.

I visited Bagel Parlor 12.28 and ordered two onion bagels with bacon cheddar cream cheese. I was very specific and even pointed directly to the bacon cheddar cream cheese while ordering. I took the food, got into my car, and drove off—only to discover that the order was wrong. Instead of bacon cheddar cream cheese, I was given plain cream cheese with bacon. I returned to the counter and calmly explained the mistake. Rather than acknowledging the error, the cashier became defensive and insisted that I had ordered cream cheese and bacon on an onion bagel, which is incorrect. Again, I pointed out that I had clearly indicated the bacon cheddar cream cheese at the time of ordering. This is not the first time my order has been made incorrectly here. Mistakes happen—but listening to customers and owning the error matters. Today, that standard was not met. Customers shouldn’t have to argue to get the order they clearly asked for. Attention to detail and basic professionalism would go a long way.

I don’t think bagel parlor has ever gotten my order right (and i order from there quite often). Their bagels are good, but my order is always incorrect (uber eats and in person ordering). It’s always a mystery as to what is going to come in my order. i.e i ordered a BEC with salt, pepper, ketchup on an everything bagel today and received the parlor sandwich on a plain bagel instead (not what i wanted at all). Great tasting bagels, but wish they’d get the orders right.

The whitestone hidden gem ⭐️ Forget the hype across town I swear. First off the bagels are NEVER BURNED! The bagels are made fresh daily, the eggs are fluffy and tasty, and the cheese is always on point. It’s the typical NYC bagel. You can’t forget to mention that it’s $6.50 a bacon egg and cheese on a toasted everything bagel???? It’s become a daily! They have *tons* of other things. 100% recommended. *edit*- spelling
