Broad Nosh Bagels Deli & Catering Introduce
Introduction / Overview
In the competitive landscape of Manhattan breakfast spots, few things are as scrutinized as the neighborhood bagel shop. Broad Nosh Bagels Deli & Catering has established itself as a prominent fixture on the Upper West Side, serving a community that demands high standards for its morning staples. Known for its traditional approach to the New York bagel, Broad Nosh focuses on the classic kettle-boiled and stone-baked method that creates the distinct contrast between a shiny, crisp exterior and a dense, chewy interior. This establishment functions as more than just a quick-stop shop; it is a full-service deli and catering provider that fuels the busy lives of Upper West Siders daily.
Broad Nosh Bagels prides itself on being a neighborhood hub where the rhythm of New York life is on full display. Whether it is the early morning rush of commuters seeking a reliable caffeine fix or families grabbing a dozen for a weekend brunch, the shop maintains a fast-paced yet welcoming atmosphere. While many modern "bagel-like" products found in grocery stores are simply round bread, Broad Nosh remains committed to the artisanal roots of the craft, ensuring that each bagel is hand-rolled and prepared with the techniques that made New York famous for its doughy delights. It is a place where tradition meets the diverse palate of the modern New Yorker, offering everything from the quintessential lox and cream cheese to adventurous flavor combinations.
Location and Accessibility
Conveniently located at 2350 Broadway, New York, NY 10024, USA, Broad Nosh Bagels sits on one of the most iconic thoroughfares in the city. Positioned at the corner of West 86th Street and Broadway, the shop occupies a prime piece of real estate in the heart of the Upper West Side. This specific intersection is a major transit and residential nerve center, making the shop exceptionally accessible to locals and visitors alike. The storefront is easily recognizable and fits perfectly into the bustling commercial fabric of the neighborhood.
For those traveling via public transportation, the accessibility is virtually unparalleled. The 86th Street subway station, which serves the 1 line, is located directly at the intersection, placing the bagel shop just steps away from the subway entrance. Additionally, the M104 bus runs along Broadway, while the M86 Select Bus Service provides efficient crosstown access from the East Side. For those with strollers or mobility aids, the shop is street-level, and while the interior space is somewhat intimate with limited standing room, locals often find it manageable for a quick pickup even when navigating the city with children. Its proximity to Riverside Park and Central Park also makes it a favored destination for those looking to grab a breakfast sandwich before heading to the greenery for a morning walk.

What is Worth Choosing
Navigating the menu at Broad Nosh Bagels offers a chance to explore both the traditional and the creative side of New York breakfast. One of the standout combinations that has garnered praise from regular patrons is the **Blueberry Bagel with Lox**. While fruit-flavored bagels are sometimes viewed as non-traditional, the pairing of the slight sweetness from the blueberry with the salty, silky texture of the lox, complemented by scallion cream cheese, cucumber, and tomato, creates a superb and sophisticated flavor profile. It is a choice for the adventurous eater who still appreciates the core elements of a classic deli sandwich.
For those who prefer the quintessential savory start to their day, the **Everything Bagel with Bacon, Egg, and Cheese** is a reliable and hearty option. The "everything" seasoning provides a robust aromatic backdrop to the salty bacon and melted cheese. To round out the meal, their coffee is highly recommended for its strong, roasted flavor which stands up well against the richness of a loaded bagel sandwich. It is important for visitors to communicate their preferences clearly—such as whether they prefer their bagel toasted or "untoasted" (the traditional New York way)—to ensure the order matches their specific taste. Whether you are a local resident or just passing through the 86th Street corridor, Broad Nosh provides a quintessential Manhattan bagel experience that remains a key part of the Upper West Side's daily routine.

We ordered a blueberry bagal with lox, cucumber, tomato and scallion cream cheese that is superb, the everything bagal with bacon egg and cheese is also great. Coffee tastes good with roast flavor. Not much standing room inside but we rolled our stroller in and waited inside bc of the cold weather

Used to be my favorite bagel spot that I recommended to others, but the quality has declined as the prices have gone up. Used to cost $5.50 for a perfect chewy everything bagel with scallion cc, but now it's $6.50 for a more bready everything bagel that's missing seasoning on the bottom half! Bottom is now a plain bagel. My order has also been messed up 40% of the time. Once was given jalapeño cream cheese instead of scallion, another time toasted when I said not toasted. Disappointed and will try to find another local spot that does better.

This Taylor Ham, Egg and Cheese sandwich made me SO happy to eat. I had it on an Egg Bagel and it was delicious. Having grown up in the area but moved away quite some time ago, the sandwich hit home right away with some terrific memories coming right back. The family enjoyed their bagels with strawberry cream cheese and we had such an enjoyable breakfast. The seating area is tucked into a little corner and it is a busy NY deli experience, as one would expect, so no particular atmosphere to speak of. The staff handled a very busy morning with NYC efficiency, no surprise there. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Cam by here today and had an excellent sausage egg and cheese on a bagel. Coffee was awesome too! Also tried the French toast bagel with mango cream cheese, it was delicious! The owner Robert is very friendly and was the cherry on top of our breakfast!

I had high hopes for Broad Nosh Bagels near Columbus Circle, but this place was an absolute disappointment. First off, the bagel itself was pathetic—stale, lacking that classic New York chew, and honestly no better than something you’d find in a grocery store aisle. But the real kicker? The complete lack of cream cheese. I don’t know if they’re rationing it like it’s liquid gold, but what I got was a sad, paper-thin smear that barely covered a fraction of the bagel. If I’m paying New York prices, I expect a proper bagel with a decent amount of spread, not some dry, bland excuse for breakfast. And speaking of prices—this place is outrageously overpriced. The only reason they stay in business is their prime location and the sheer number of unsuspecting tourists who don’t know any better and just need something to eat. If this bagel shop were located anywhere else in the city, it wouldn’t last a month. When Broad Nosh Bagels first opened, the owner seemed to genuinely care about his customers. He was so invested in building a loyal following that he personally handed out discount cards, offering people percentage-off deals just to keep them coming back. It felt like a neighborhood spot with heart. But now? It’s a completely different story. The place is overpriced, overcrowded, and has lost any sense of quality or customer appreciation. Worst of all, they do not respect the schmear—what was once a generously spread, creamy delight is now a pathetic, barely-there layer that leaves the bagel dry and disappointing. It’s clear they’re cashing in on their prime location rather than focusing on the product, and it shows. Bottom line: If you actually care about good bagels, skip this place. There are far better options in NYC that won’t leave you feeling ripped off and annoyed. Do better! There’s potential in trying!
