CookiesNCream Introduce
In the heart of Middle Village, Queens, a sweet revolution has taken root at the intersection of nostalgia and culinary innovation. CookiesNCream, located on Dry Harbor Road, has quickly established itself as a cornerstone of the local dessert scene since its highly anticipated grand opening. This isn't your standard neighborhood scoop shop; it is a gourmet destination where the warm, comforting aroma of fresh-baked cookies meets the chilling indulgence of premium ice cream. For New Yorkers who take their desserts seriously, CookiesNCream offers a sophisticated yet playful environment that manages to make every adult feel like a kid again while providing a reliable go-to for families and late-night treat seekers alike.
The concept behind CookiesNCream was born from a simple but powerful realization: why choose between a cookie and ice cream when the combination is exponentially better? Founded by veteran restaurateur Joe Edwards and brought to Queens by lifelong locals Frank Barbone and Sal Fescina, the shop emphasizes high-quality ingredients and creative pairings. From the "Swirliez" that infuse your favorite childhood cereals into creamy soft serve to their signature "Brookes," every item on the menu is designed to be a "mouthwatering" experience. As a small business deeply embedded in the Middle Village community, the shop has become a vital local hub, frequently hosting families after school events, scouts meetings, or simply serving as the perfect ending to a dinner at one of the neighborhood's many nearby eateries.
Location and Accessibility
CookiesNCream is perfectly situated at 64-62 Dry Harbor Rd, Middle Village, NY 11379, USA. Located in a scenic and residential-friendly pocket of Queens, the shop is a landmark for residents of Middle Village, Rego Park, and Glendale. Dry Harbor Road serves as a key local thoroughfare, making the shop easily accessible for those taking a leisurely evening drive or walking through the neighborhood. Its proximity to Juniper Valley Park—a major recreational hub for the region—makes it an ideal destination for a post-park treat during the warmer months.
For those utilizing public transportation, the shop is accessible via the Q38 and Q29 bus lines, which have stops conveniently located nearby. While the interior is described as "cute and small," it is thoughtfully designed to accommodate about 10 people for indoor seating, creating an intimate and cozy atmosphere. The storefront features large windows that invite the community in, and the surrounding street usually offers typical residential parking, making quick pickups for "Cookie Boxes" or "Quarts of Ice Cream" relatively stress-free. Whether you are a local resident or making a "worth it" trip from another part of the borough, the shop’s presence on Dry Harbor Road is both prominent and welcoming.

What is worth choosing
When you step into CookiesNCream, the sheer variety can be "overwhelming in a good way," but there are a few absolute must-tries for any newcomer. The "Brooke w/ Vanilla Ice Cream" is a top recommendation; the "Brooke" (a brownie-cookie hybrid) provides a rich, chewy base that, when served warm under a scoop of cold vanilla, creates a classic contrast that "hits the spot" perfectly. For those who enjoy a bit of texture and a unique flavor profile, the "Sugar Brûlée Cookie" with its crunch topping is a sophisticated choice that pairs excellently with their house-blend coffee.
If you are a fan of milkshakes, the "Rainbow Cookie Milkshake" is a quintessential New York treat. It uses authentic Longford’s ice cream blended with real Italian rainbow cookies and is layered with raspberry jam and chocolate drizzle—it’s essentially a Queens bakery in a cup. For those seeking something more interactive, the "Swirliez Infused with Cereal" are a huge hit, especially with the younger crowd. Choosing a vanilla base infused with Cap'n Crunch or Fruity Pebbles offers a crunchy, nostalgic flavor that is hard to find anywhere else in Middle Village. Finally, don't overlook the "Nutella Stuffed Cookie," which is a consistent favorite for its gooey center and "heavenly" presentation. Whether you go for a single scoop or a "Cookie Box" to share, the quality of the ingredients at CookiesNCream ensures that every choice is the right one.
Ultimately, CookiesNCream is worth choosing because it brings a level of artisanal dessert craft to Middle Village that was previously missing. By focusing on "bite-sized happiness" and community connection, Frank and Sal have created more than just a shop—they've created a neighborhood destination. Whether you’re ending a long day, celebrating a scouting achievement, or just looking to "feel like a kid again," the Dry Harbor Road location is a "perfect" spot that proves life in Queens is indeed a little sweeter with a cookie in one hand and a scoop of ice cream in the other.

The staff is so friendly here. I usually stop here with my son after he gets out of Cub Scouts. Everything is mouthwatering! My daughter loves the decadent milkshakes. Honestly, there is truly something for everyone. I know that if I stop here, my entire family will get something they love. Supporting a small business like this one is important to the community. Definitely worth the trip, every single time!

I had the cookie + ice cream combo (Brooke w/ vanilla ice cream) & it hit the spot for me!! My husband got a cookie from their special items & he devoured it as well (it was the one with sugar brûlée + crunch topping & coffee). We also had the house blend coffee. The staff here are so friendly! Everything was perfect. The spot is cute & small, accommodating to around 10 ppl. They have plenty of options for cookies, ice creams, & shakes, it’s overwhelming in a good way. I felt like a kid again.

Love the vibe and aesthetic of the place. They have a huge selection of cookies and ice cream which are super fun and creative. I tried the cookie monster which i highly recommend. Theyre also dog-friendly and even have a pup cup so it was a great way to wrap up our afternoon walk at juniper park. As much as i'd love to gate keep this spot, its absolutely worth experiencing for yourself🩷🩷🩷🩷

Ever since I saw this place on instagram I knew I had to try them and it was an absolute delight. From the moment I walked in I was greeted by a friendly girl and she was very welcoming. It’s very clean here and is conveniently located which makes it easy to find. Their cookies are amazing! I tried their Nutella stuffed cookie and it is out of this world. Each bite was perfect and is worth every penny. They also have ice cream too which pairs great with their cookies. Overall this is a must visit place for anyone that has a sweet tooth and I highly recommend it.
