What is worth choosing
If you are visiting Dinkies for the first time, there is one item that stands above the rest in terms of popularity and pure satisfaction: the Loaded Star Tots. This dish has become the cornerstone of the Dinkies experience. These are not your average tater tots; they are star-shaped, providing more surface area for that perfect golden crunch. The "loaded" version is a masterclass in comfort food engineering, topped with a rich, velvety nacho cheese, smoky bacon bits, fresh green onions, and sliced jalapenos for a kick of heat, all balanced by a cooling dollop of sour cream. It is a dish that triggers immediate cravings and is widely considered the must-order item on the menu.
For those looking to explore the more "eccentric" side of the menu, the Sour Cream Wontons are a revelation. While wontons are a staple in the neighborhood, the use of sour cream as a primary filling creates a tangy, creamy, and crispy combination that you simply won't find anywhere else in the city. This fusion of traditional techniques with unexpected fillings is exactly what makes Dinkies a standout destination. Regulars often suggest that because the menu is so unique, it is worth trying at least one item that sounds completely new to you. The kitchen’s ability to take familiar concepts and reinvent them ensures that whether you are opting for a savory snack or a more substantial meal, you are in for a high-quality experience. When you find yourself on Baxter Street, don't settle for the usual; choose the bold, star-shaped, and wonderfully strange offerings that only Dinkies can provide.
Ultimately, Dinkies at 118 Baxter St is more than just a place to grab a bite; it is a testament to New York's enduring love for culinary innovation. It combines the reliability of a professional kitchen with the creative spirit of a boutique bakery. For anyone living in or visiting the New York region, a trip to this Baxter Street location offers a chance to taste the "eccentric" side of the city. With a phone call to (212) 219-2181, you can easily arrange a pickup and see for yourself why so many people—from local residents to television stars—keep coming back for more of these one-of-a-kind flavors.

dinkies is a great restaurant, you won't find anything like this. So far everything I ordered has been amazing. One time I had a order for pick up and I ran into Daryl Dixon from The Walking Dead. Loaded Star tots, how can you go wrong with tater tots that are star shaped, topped with nacho cheese, bacon, green onions, jalapenos and sour cream, drool.

This restaurant has an eccentric menu. Their options I've haven't seen elsewhere. Sour cream won tons. Loaded tater tots with cheese bacon scallions and sour cream. Yummy.
