What is worth choosing
When you visit Iosif Kosher Bakery II, the menu offers several standouts that have earned a dedicated following among Forest Hills residents. The absolute "must-try" item, according to many regulars, is the Lava Cake. Known for its rich, decadent center and consistent quality, this cake is frequently cited as a favorite for those seeking a truly indulgent dessert. It is a perfect example of the bakery's ability to execute high-end, complex sweets with a professional touch. While the prices are on the higher side, fans of the lava cake note that the premium quality and fresh taste justify the extra cost, making it an excellent choice for a special treat or a gift.
Another staple that has long defined the bakery’s reputation is their Cherry Pie. Available in various sizes, including small and medium, this pie is a family favorite for many local households. The filling is typically fresh and flavorful, encased in a traditional crust that reflects the bakery’s old-school approach. However, it is important for customers to be aware that pricing can fluctuate, with some medium pies recently ranging between $20.00 and $25.00 depending on current market adjustments or in-store versus phone quotes. It is always a good idea to confirm the current price at the counter when placing your order.
For those looking for a broader experience, the selection of smaller pastries and cookies is also worth exploring. These items offer a great way to sample the different doughs and fillings the bakery specializes in without committing to a full-sized cake or pie. Whether you are coming in for the friendly service, the consistent quality of the lava cake, or a traditional pie for a family dinner, Iosif Kosher Bakery II provides an authentic slice of Forest Hills history. By choosing this local establishment, you are supporting a neighborhood business that takes pride in its craft and continues to fulfill the cravings of the local community with phenomenal, fresh-tasting desserts.

My favorite is the lava cake — it’s so good! The older lady is very friendly. Even though there’s a bit of a language barrier, she always makes an effort to communicate and chat with me, which I really appreciate. The prices are on the higher side, but the quality has been very consistent, so I don’t mind paying a little extra.

The desserts are phenomenal. Taste fresh and fulfills cravings. On the pricier side though. I have been a long time customer to this bakery, but unfortunately I had to change my review from 5 stars to 1 star. My family enjoys many of their desserts, but a favorite is their cherry pie. We ordered it many times (sizes small and medium). Majority of the time we get size medium. For the medium pie, I would usually get charged $20.00. 2 weeks ago, I went to go get the pie and I was charged $20, but then we needed one more about a week later, and I was charged $25. When I asked her why is the price $25 when I recently ordered and it was $20. The lady said "we raised our prices". So I paid the $25 no problem. Just to be sure, we called over the phone to see how much they would say the medium cherry pie is over the phone and they said "$20.00". I was extremely disappointed to hear that and get scammed. I understand that a business needs to make money, but it shouldn't be at the expense of their customers. Businesses shouldn't be chasing the money; they should be loyal to the clients as clients are loyal to the business because whenever you are doing right by your clients, you will always have business. It is very unfortunate since the bakery itself has great pastries, but I will not be returning.

Outstanding Kosher Bakery at ridiculously low prices. Standouts are the nuts rugelach and apricot rolls and strudels. I wish we had a bakery like this near me! Perfect spot to cater a Brunch or Soecial Kiddish
