La Parisienne French Bakery Introduce
Introduction and Overview
For those seeking an authentic taste of France without the hassle of a transatlantic flight or the frantic energy of Manhattan, La Parisienne French Bakery stands as a premier destination in the heart of Larchmont, New York. This local gem has carved out a reputation for being one of the most genuine expressions of French baking traditions in the entire Westchester region. From the moment you approach the storefront, the unmistakable aroma of butter and yeast serves as a warm invitation to experience craftsmanship at its finest. Unlike many modern pastry shops that prioritize aesthetics over substance, La Parisienne remains deeply rooted in the foundational techniques of French patisserie and boulangerie.
The bakery is widely celebrated by locals and visitors alike for its commitment to quality. It is a place where "freshly baked" is not just a marketing slogan but a daily reality. The establishment manages to capture the soulful essence of a neighborhood Parisian cafe, offering a sanctuary for those who appreciate the finer details of a perfectly laminated croissant or a crusty baguette. Whether you are a connoisseur of fine pastries or someone looking for a comforting morning treat, this bakery provides a high-quality alternative to the often-overrated and overpriced commercial pastry shops found in the city center.
Location and Accessibility
Conveniently situated at 2116 Boston Post Rd, Larchmont, NY 10538, La Parisienne French Bakery is perfectly positioned for residents of Larchmont and the surrounding Westchester communities. Its location on the historic Boston Post Road makes it an easy stop for commuters, parents on the school run, or anyone taking a leisurely stroll through town. For New Yorkers looking to escape the "city craziness," the bakery offers a suburban retreat that feels world-class yet remains approachable and grounded.
One of the standout features regarding its accessibility is its operating schedule. In a region where many independent bakeries and cafes choose to remain closed at the start of the week, La Parisienne is notably open on Mondays. This provides a refreshing option for locals who need their caffeine and pastry fix when other doors are locked. The bakery’s physical space is designed with large windows that look out onto the bustling street, providing plenty of natural light and a welcoming atmosphere that encourages guests to linger rather than just grab and go.

What is Worth Choosing
If you are visiting La Parisienne French Bakery for the first time, the array of choices can be delightfully overwhelming. However, based on the consistent praise from the local community, there are a few "must-try" items that define the excellence of this establishment. First and foremost, the croissants are non-negotiable. Many locals consider them the best tasting in New York, specifically noting the balance of the flaky exterior and flavorful interior. If you want a twist on the classic, the whole wheat multigrain croissant is highly recommended for its unique texture and healthy profile.
The almond croissant is another standout, praised for being packed with delicious marzipan that satisfies any sweet tooth without being cloying. Beyond the pastries, the bakery’s savory side is equally impressive. The fresh, made-to-order sandwiches are a favorite for lunch, often featuring high-quality meats and cheeses tucked inside their signature crusty bread. To round out the experience, pairing your choice with a beverage from their professional espresso machine is highly suggested. This is one of the best if not the best tasting croissant in New York away form the city craziness and over rated pastry shops Here you can have a healthy choice of a whole wheat multigrain croissant that is flaky and crunchy yet soft and flavorful. And the almond croissant was so deliciously flavorful full of delicious marzipan. I don’t think you can ever go wrong with anything made of dough in this location Whether if it is sweet or savory Croisant or bread all smells amazing just coming out of the oven. And Philippe the owner is above and beyond when it comes to explaining any inquiries you may have about any of his products and just talking to him he makes you want to buy and try everything in his shop. No kidding the best croissant in town

This is a very authentic French bakery with fresh daily baked breads, sweets, and pastries. They also have a menu of fresh made to order sandwiches. While I didn’t order that while I was there, I saw others eating yummy variety of sandwiches. They also have a great espresso machine which goes nicely with the sweets they offer to nibble on. It really reminds me of a cafe in Paris! It’s also open on Mondays which is refreshing since most bakery’s are closed on Mondays. They also have a very cute and cozy sitting area with big windows looking out. Nice plays to sit and read, have a quick coffee break by yourself or meet up with a friend.

We are nearby neighbors and have been coming here for years. The food is good, fresh and tasty. I think the problem is service. When they have a group of customers, they don’t know how to manage the queue and expedite; also their staff changes too often and they are always in training. I would also invest a few dollars in customer experience and give the store a refresh so that it’s more inviting

First time here, many choices of bread and desserts french styles, a bit pricey but taste good with nice service staff. I took the receipt by email and got the welcome and offer emails from the shop. Next time will try having coffee there. Edited: I got an email from the bakery for discount ❤️ Thank you for the offer! So I added more photos.

Absolutely love this bakery! Always fresh and delicious options. They can put a bit more effort into customer service support but it’s for sure a good place to visit.
