Poppy's Bagels Introduce
Introduction / Overview
In the high-flying world of New York aviation, the revitalized LaGuardia Airport has become a culinary destination in its own right, and Poppy's Bagels stands as a primary morning beacon for travelers in Terminal C. For New Yorkers, a bagel isn't just a quick carbohydrate; it is a cultural touchstone. Poppy's Bagels brings this local tradition directly to the boarding gates, offering a fast-casual dining experience that aims to provide a true "last taste of the Big Apple" before you head to your destination. As a part of the OTG hospitality group's innovative dining collection, this shop focuses on delivering high-quality, locally sourced ingredients to a demographic that is often on a tight schedule but unwilling to compromise on the standard of their morning meal.
Poppy's Bagels operates with a unique "dual-concept" kitchen. During the early morning hours and through the peak breakfast window, the space functions as a dedicated bagel and breakfast sanctuary. As the clock strikes 11:00 AM, the establishment transitions its menu and atmosphere to become The Line Sports Grill, serving elevated pub fare. This versatile use of space ensures that the ingredients remain fresh and the kitchen remains active, catering specifically to the needs of the morning traveler who requires a hearty, reliable start to their day. Whether you are a frequent business traveler or a family embarking on a vacation, Poppy's provides a modern, tech-forward environment to refuel.
Location and Accessibility
Poppy's Bagels is located at LaGuardia Airport, Queens Terminal C, East Elmhurst, NY 11372, USA. This terminal is the primary hub for Delta Air Lines, meaning the shop is perfectly positioned for the thousands of passengers who pass through this specific wing of the airport every day. Being located post-security, it is accessible exclusively to ticketed passengers, providing a convenient dining option once you have cleared the TSA checkpoints and have time to spare before your flight.
Accessibility is a hallmark of the new Terminal C design. The shop is situated in a central area near the departure gates, making it a quick stop regardless of which concourse your plane is departing from. For those with mobility considerations, the layout is fully wheelchair accessible, with wide aisles and accessible kiosk heights. Travelers should note that while the terminal is large, the signage is intuitive, and Poppy's is often identified by its vibrant, modern signage and the aroma of toasted everything bagels that wafts through the corridor. If you are arriving from elsewhere in the city via the M60-SBS or Q70-SBS LaGuardia Link, simply head to Terminal C and through security to find this local gem.

What is worth choosing
When you find yourself at Poppy's Bagels during an early morning layover or before a 6:00 AM departure, there are a few standout choices that are highly recommended. For the traveler who needs a substantial meal, the Breakfast Burrito with a side of star-shaped tater tots is an excellent choice. The burrito is typically packed with hot ingredients and provides a mess-free way to eat if you need to take your food to the gate. If you're going for a sandwich, many locals suggest opting for bacon as your primary protein for a consistently crispy texture.
For those seeking the quintessential New York experience, the Smoked Salmon Bagel (The Big Poppy) is the gold standard. Featuring caper cream cheese, red onions, and high-quality lox, it captures the "appetizing" tradition of the city in one convenient bite. If you are looking for a healthy alternative, their avocado spread on a toasted multigrain bagel is a popular pick, though it is always wise to ask for it fresh to ensure the best color and flavor. Regardless of your main course, do not skip the tater tots; they are crispy, well-seasoned, and provide a nostalgic comfort that makes airport travel just a little bit more pleasant. Choosing Poppy's means choosing a piece of the city's food culture, ensuring you start your journey on a high note.

Doesn’t deserve its 1.9 stars in my experience 😂 quick to be seated, quick to be waited on, food came out hot & actually really good (got the breakfast burrito + tots). I’d probably switch to bacon instead of sausage if I did it again but overall can’t complain about anything.

Early morning flight and looking forward to a pleasant breakfast. Unfortunately we did not find it here. The bacon, two strips, was hard as a rock and the scrambled eggs tasted like an omelet broken into pieces. I had to request fresh bacon. The avocado spread was oxidized and dark in color.amd the coffee not good. The waiter was pleasant.

Almost $25 just to watch one of the cooks eat the fruit he was preparing for me—with zero regard for ethics or food safety. You can see everything from the outside—come on! The worst part is that other employees in the kitchen were witnessing this and didn’t even say anything to the young man. SMH!

A place for quick bites at Lagardia airport. Didn’t really like the egg and cheese bagel sandwich. Tater tots were good. Coffee was regular. Service was good and prompt. Prices were reasonable too compared to other breakfast places at airport.

Surprisingly a great food outlet in LGA Terminal C by gate 80s. And the crispiest potato tots I’ve had for breakfast. Servers are efficient and attentive. Love the multiple TVs and full bar concept. Air travel is stressful!
