SALSWEE Introduce
In the high-energy corridor of Midtown Manhattan, where fashion and business intersect, a unique culinary destination has emerged to redefine the art of the pastry. SALSWEE, located at 1407 Broadway, is not just a bakery; it is a gallery of edible art. For New Yorkers who have grown weary of the overly sugary, mass-produced treats often found in high-traffic areas, SALSWEE offers a refreshing alternative. This establishment specializes in modern, high-end desserts that prioritize delicate flavor profiles, fresh ingredients, and a visual aesthetic that rivals the window displays of the nearby Garment District. It has quickly earned a reputation among local foodies as a sanctuary of refinement, providing a sophisticated space to indulge in sweets that are as light on the palate as they are stunning to the eye.
The experience of visiting SALSWEE begins the moment you step off the busy pavement of Broadway. The interior decor is widely praised by local visitors for its "lovely" and contemporary feel, offering a serene atmosphere that stands in stark contrast to the frantic pace of Midtown. The bakery’s philosophy centers on the idea that dessert should be an experience for all the senses. From the minimalist, elegant display cases to the meticulous arrangement of every glaze and garnish, SALSWEE embodies a modern "not too sweet" philosophy that resonates deeply with the health-conscious and discerning New York demographic. Whether you are a professional looking for a quiet afternoon reprieve or a resident searching for a show-stopping dessert for a special occasion, SALSWEE delivers a level of craftsmanship that is increasingly rare in the city’s heart.
What truly sets SALSWEE apart in the competitive NYC bakery scene is the sheer creativity of its pastry team. The shop has become famous for its realistic-looking small desserts—pastries crafted to look like fruit, objects, or intricate sculptures. This commitment to "Instagram-worthy" presentation does not come at the expense of taste. Every item is a balanced composition of textures, often featuring light mousses, crisp shortbreads, and vibrant fruit compotes. By blending traditional pastry techniques with avant-garde design, SALSWEE has managed to capture the imagination of a city that is always looking for the next great thing in the world of gastronomy.

One of the best dessert/pastry places in NYC! The desserts and pastries are too beautiful to eat, but so heavenly. The mini cakes are perfect for any occasion, nice size, fresh and not too sweet like typical desserts. The realistic looking small desserts are just as amazing & Instagram worthy.

While the prices at Salswee Bakery are on the higher end, the quality fully justifies the cost. I visited for breakfast and was thoroughly pleased with every item I tried. The desserts are generously portioned and beautifully prepared, with the mango dessert being a particular highlight, it’s fresh, vibrant and delicious. We also loved the spinach & mozzarella croissant quiche, it’s so so good!! The service is warm, adding to the overall charm of the place. Salswee has quickly become one of my go-to bakeries in the city.

If you want a sweet treat that is cute, not too sweet, then you should come here and pick something for yourself! I tried chestnut Mont Blanc and pear shape dessert, the sweetness is just the right amount, the dessert looks cute and not too pricey. Note that the store could be pretty packed during peak hours, so be prepared to wait a bit for the seats if you want to sit down and enjoy the desserts.

We lived in New York across the road and came back everyday. We’ve had their coffees, hot chocolates, danish pastries, big cakes and small fruit ones and they were all amazing. Highly recommend!!
