Location and Accessibility
Strategically located at 40-07 National St, Corona, NY 11368, Panaderia Y Pasteleria Mexicana is perfectly positioned in one of the most energetic commercial hubs of Queens. Its location makes it a prime destination for anyone navigating the Roosevelt Avenue corridor. For New Yorkers relying on public transportation, the bakery is exceptionally accessible. It is just steps away from the 103rd St - Corona Plaza station on the 7 train, which serves as the lifeline connecting Manhattan and Flushing. This proximity to the elevated subway line makes it an ideal stop for a morning treat before work or a sweet pick-me-up on the way home.
For those traveling by foot, the bakery is situated amidst a dense network of local shops and markets, contributing to the bustling street life that defines Corona. However, potential visitors arriving by car should be mindful that, like much of this historic neighborhood, street parking is significantly limited and highly sought after. What is worth choosing
Navigating the massive variety at Panaderia Y Pasteleria Mexicana can be an adventure in itself, but there are certain staples that every visitor should try. The Conchas are a primary recommendation; these iconic Mexican sweet breads with their distinctive shell-like sugar crust are a favorite here. While some items in a high-volume bakery can occasionally vary in texture, the Conchas are widely considered a reliable and delicious choice that pairs perfectly with a morning coffee or a glass of milk. Their soft, airy interior and sweet topping provide the quintessential panaderia experience.
Beyond the classic Conchas, it is worth exploring the more intricate pastries that feature fillings like pineapple, dulce de leche, or cream cheese. These often provide the "flavor punch" that local patrons seek out. If you are visiting during a traditional Mexican holiday, the seasonal offerings are an absolute must, as they represent the bakery's commitment to cultural authenticity. For those looking for a savory-sweet balance, the various "empanadas" and filled pockets are excellent choices. Because the shop is so well-organized, it is easy to see the different textures available—look for the items with a golden-brown finish, as these typically indicate the perfect bake. Ultimately, part of the charm of this Corona gem is the discovery; picking up a tray and tongs to select a few different varieties allows you to experience the full breadth of Mexican baking traditions. Whether you are seeking a familiar comfort or a new flavor profile, the diverse trays at Panaderia Y Pasteleria Mexicana rarely disappoint.
In conclusion, Panaderia Y Pasteleria Mexicana remains an essential part of the Queens culinary landscape. Its dedication to variety, cleanliness, and authentic service makes it a standout choice for anyone in the New York region. While the parking situation reflects the typical urban density of Corona, the reward of fresh, traditional pan dulce makes the trip more than worthwhile. It is a local business that truly embodies the flavor and spirit of its community.

They have a good selection of Mexican bread but some of them lack flavor or are dry. The conchas are still good and overall pleasant experience but good luck trying to find parking really hard.

Control in terms of hygiene. Also the food should be labeled with date of expiration.
