In the diverse and culturally rich borough of Queens, New York, local bakeries often serve as the heartbeat of the neighborhood. The establishment simply known as "Bakery," located at 91-01 76th St, sits on the border of Jamaica and Woodhaven—two communities known for their residential charm and bustling local commerce. For New Yorkers in this part of the city, having a nearby spot to pick up a quick treat or a dessert for the family is a standard part of daily life. This specific location caters to a variety of local residents who navigate the intersection of tradition and the fast-paced nature of New York City living.
The neighborhood surrounding 91-01 76th St is characterized by a mix of single-family homes and multi-unit dwellings, creating a consistent demand for local food services. As a small-scale community bakery, this shop focuses on accessible, everyday baked goods. While New York is famous for its high-end patisseries, local spots like this one are often the primary source for basic snacks, providing a quick option for those commuting via the nearby transit lines or for parents looking to surprise their children after school with a cupcake or a donut.

The bakery is situated at 91-01 76th St, Jamaica, NY 11421, USA. This particular address places it in a strategic pocket of Queens where Jamaica and Woodhaven meet. The location is highly accessible for those living in the 11421 and 11416 zip codes. For New Yorkers who rely on the city's extensive transit system, the bakery is positioned near several key routes. Accessibility by car is also relatively straightforward, as 76th Street is nestled between major thoroughfares such as Atlantic Avenue and Jamaica Avenue. While street parking in this part of Queens can be competitive—as any local driver can attest—the shop remains a viable stop for those running errands along the commercial strips nearby. What is Worth Choosing
When visiting any local establishment in New York, it is important to consider the experiences of the community to make the best choice for your needs. This bakery offers a variety of standard treats such as donuts and cupcakes which are popular choices for children and those with a sweet tooth. The items are presented in a way that makes them easy to transport in simple paper bags, ideal for a quick walk back to the many nearby homes.
However, it is essential for discerning New York customers to be mindful of the freshness of the products. Some local users have shared feedback regarding the texture of the desserts, noting that items can occasionally be quite firm. Specifically, reviews from real customers have mentioned that some donuts and cupcakes may not always meet the soft, moist expectations one might have for fresh-baked goods, with some describing them as being "hard as a brick." In the fast-paced world of New York retail, ensuring you are receiving a fresh product is key to a good experience. If you are planning a visit, it may be worth checking with the staff about the day's baking schedule to ensure you are selecting the freshest items available. For those who prioritize a soft and tender texture in their pastries, a quick visual check or a polite inquiry at the counter can help ensure you leave with a dessert that satisfies your expectations. While the shop provides a convenient location for the Jamaica and Woodhaven area, being an informed consumer will help you get the most out of your local bakery run.

If I could I would give a zero star. I bought two doughnuts and a cupcake from here. They were put into a paper bag and when I got home to give them to my kids I found that they were hard as a brick and not edible at all. I go back to them to ask for a refund for the product and they refuse a refund for a bad product. I even brought them the items so they can feel them as well to prove that I wasn't lying and they still refused to refund or even replace the items. I will never come back here. I wouldn't recommend this place for any bakery needs.

I bought the expired Polish bread, I really wanted to drink it, I get home and open the bitter Polish bread, I see the expiration date it expired on June 18th and I bought it on June 17th it was already expired but if they have it in a place of sale it is because it is a good product but it was no longer useful the breads all burnt and stiff I have bought breads but they are always soft they have lasted me up to a week and they maintain their softness but these breads that have been sold to me are stiff as if they were made 15 days ago or must have been heated and that is why they came stiff they have to take into account what they sell us as consumers we want good things for the price we pay

Terrible service. They sold me expired Polish yogurt, and when I went back, they refused to give me a refund because, according to them, I had already taken the product. I bought it yesterday, June 17th, and the yogurt was supposed to expire on June 18th. By yesterday, it was already bitter. Be careful about giving children anything from that store. I was just about to give it to my kids when I tasted it, and it was no good. And to make matters worse, they didn't apologize or anything. I'm not giving it zero stars.
