Benji's Buns Introduce
In the bustling landscape of New York City’s dessert scene, few things capture the heart quite like a warm, freshly baked pastry. For those navigating the charming streets of the West Village, Benji's Buns has emerged as a high-profile destination for anyone seeking a premium, comforting treat. Known for its viral presence and indulgent offerings, this bakery specializes in the art of the bun, elevating the humble cinnamon roll into a gourmet experience. Whether you are a local resident or a visitor exploring the historic neighborhood, the shop offers a modern take on a classic comfort food that has quickly become a topic of conversation across Manhattan.
The bakery has built a reputation on social media and through word-of-mouth for its "pillow-soft" textures and creative flavor profiles. At Benji's Buns, the focus is squarely on the sensory experience: the aroma of cinnamon and sugar that greets you at the door, the sight of meticulously frosted rolls, and the satisfying "gooey center" that serves as the hallmark of a well-crafted bun. While the city has no shortage of bakeries, Benji's Buns distinguishes itself by leaning into the specialty market, offering a variety of unique combinations that go far beyond the standard glaze and spice. It is a place where indulgence is the priority, designed for those who appreciate the finer details of a specialty bake.

What is Worth Choosing
When visiting Benji's Buns, the choice often comes down to whether you want a traditional experience or something more contemporary. For the purists, the Classic Cinnamon Bun is the gold standard. It delivers exactly what a cinnamon roll should: a warm, soft dough with a classic gooey center that satisfies the traditional craving. However, as many regulars note, the specialty flavors are where the bakery truly shines and provides the most value for the premium price point. These unique creations offer a complex layer of tastes and textures that elevate the bun into a full-scale dessert.
The Biscoff Cinnamon Roll is a 10/10 recommendation for many, praised for its incredible softness and the distinct, caramelized flavor of the Biscoff spread that isn't too overpowering. Another top contender is the Strawberry Nutella Bun. The combination of the rich hazelnut cocoa spread with the fruity frosting creates a delightful contrast. While some suggest adding a natural fruit purée for an even deeper flavor, the current version is widely enjoyed for its complementary ingredients. If you are looking to get the most out of your visit to 122 Christopher St, opting for one of these specialty "unique buns" is the way to go. They offer a "mind-blowing" experience that justifies the treat-yourself price and keeps locals coming back to see what new flavors might be popping up next. Whatever you choose, ensure you enjoy it while it's warm to fully appreciate that signature Benji’s "pillow bite."
In a city that moves as fast as New York, Benji's Buns offers a reason to slow down, if only for a few bites. It is a local business that understands the importance of consistency, quality, and a little bit of indulgence. For the residents of the New York region, it stands as a reliable spot for a high-end sweet treat that delivers on the promise of warmth and flavor. Whether you are stopping by for a quick Biscoff roll or bringing a box of classics to a friend, Benji's Buns has firmly established itself as a West Village staple that is well worth a visit.

Benji’s Buns has been popping up all over my feed, so I finally stopped by on a Sunday morning to see what the hype was about. Luckily the line was short 🙌 and they had every flavor available when I got there. I went with the classic cinnamon bun. It was warm, soft, and had that classic gooey center you want from a cinnamon roll 🤤. The texture was great and it definitely satisfied the cinnamon bun craving. That said… it’s about $10 for one bun 💸 and for the classic flavor I’m not sure I’d personally pay that again. It was good, but not mind-blowing for the price. If I went back, I’d probably try one of the specialty flavors since those seem like where Benji’s Buns really shines ✨. If you’re already nearby and want a sweet treat, it’s worth a stop… just maybe go for one of the more unique buns 🌀🍞.

The workers are very nice and worked fast. Wasn’t a long wait to get the cinnamon rolls which was good everything was friendly and fast service The biscoff cinnamon roll was very good very soft and have that pillow bite into it , wasn’t overly sweet which was good. I’d give it a 10/10 very good! The strawberry Nutella cinnamon roll was very good , frosting was good and the Nutella compliments it well . My thing is I wish the strawberry was more of a natural strawberry purée added to enhance it and get more of that strawberry flavor besides that I’d rate it a 8/10. I will be coming back to try different flavors in the future, thank you!!!

Good selection of sticky buns. Went with the vanilla and it was really good! The worker was very nice. It was empty on the Saturday at 2p when I went. The vanilla was flavorful and soft after warming up. Super delicious and would recommend! There is one indoor table and one outside. Cost is $9 per bun

Came here twice in 24 hours, what does that tell you??! That vanilla-frosted cinnamon bun is so freakin' good and I am a cinnamon roll fiend. Sure, they're too expensive ($9) but love how huge they are, the freshness of the dough, and how they warm it up for you so you can really dive into the gooey, cinnamon center. Big perk: no line and nothing was sold-out. Enjoyed the pecan and Biscoff ones but the vanilla-frosted is classic goodness. 5 stars!!!

Owner was really cool and staff was super friendly. The texture off rip I thought was going to suck based off the touch but once I bit into it, it definitely changed. The center was nice and gooey with a lot of cinnamon around the center but I wish it was consistently throughout with cinnamon. My favorite was the lotus biscoff and the lemon blueberry. I liked these because they weren’t super sweet and had the right amount of toppings. I would definitely go back and would recommend. Flavors change every 2 weeks so get it while it’s there if you find something you really like
