Coco Choco Bakery Introduce
In the bustling heart of Westchester County, the city of White Plains serves as a vibrant melting pot of cultures, and nowhere is this more evident than in its local culinary scene. For New York residents seeking a taste of South American tradition combined with classic patisserie flair, Coco Choco Bakery has established itself as a notable destination. Located in the 10606 zip code, this bakery offers a unique bridge between everyday staple breads and high-end celebratory desserts. For the local community, finding a spot that masters specific regional items like Peruvian Pan Francés alongside artistic birthday cakes is a significant find, making this shop a point of interest for both the immigrant community and local food explorers alike.
The atmosphere at Coco Choco Bakery is one of a busy neighborhood hub. Like many authentic local businesses in the New York region, the experience here can be multifaceted. While some patrons have noted inconsistencies in the warmth of the service over time, others find the staff to be attentive, welcoming, and highly accommodating. This spectrum of experiences is common in the fast-paced New York retail environment, but the consistent draw remains the quality of the oven-fresh products. Whether you are stopping in for a quick morning roll or commissioning a centerpiece for a major milestone, the bakery aims to provide a high level of craftsmanship that reflects the diverse tastes of the White Plains population.
Location and Accessibility
Coco Choco Bakery is prominently situated at 1 Harding Ave, White Plains, NY 10606, USA. This location is particularly strategic for those living in or commuting through the western side of White Plains. It sits near the intersection of several residential and commercial zones, making it a convenient stop for locals heading toward the Bronx River Parkway or the White Plains train station. For New Yorkers who rely on their vehicles, the shop’s position in a less congested pocket of the city compared to the downtown malls allows for easier "in and out" access, which is a major plus for those picking up delicate cakes or hot breakfast items.

What is worth choosing
When visiting Coco Choco Bakery, the most essential choice for any fan of authentic bread is the Peruvian-style Pan Francés. It is a staple that many customers go out of their way for, noted for its "very good" quality and authentic flavor that reminds one of traditional Lima bakeries. Pair this with their delicious tamales for a complete and satisfying morning meal. While the tamales are sourced from an outside vendor, they are selected for their high quality and flavor, making them a worthy addition to your order. For those who enjoy a savory-to-sweet transition, these items provide the perfect foundation for a visit.
If you are looking for a dessert to impress at a dinner party or to celebrate a loved one, the Tres Leches cake is the absolute winner. It has been described as "amazing" and is consistently fresh, making it one of the best desserts available in the White Plains area. Additionally, their macarons and decorative tarts are worth choosing if you appreciate fine pastry work with a professional finish. For those planning a celebration, their birthday cakes have a strong track record of being well-made and aesthetically pleasing. Ultimately, while customer service experiences can vary, the "great quality" of the ice cream, cookies, and cakes makes Coco Choco Bakery a reliable "go-to" spot for high-end sweets in Westchester. If you prioritize freshness and authentic regional flavors, this bakery is highly recommended as your next local stop.
Would you like me to help you draft a specific inquiry for a custom Tres Leches birthday cake or perhaps provide a list of traditional Peruvian pairings to enjoy with your Pan Francés?

Coco Choco Bakery Reviews

recently visited Coco Choco Bakery hoping to see improvement in customer service since my last visit nearly a year ago. Unfortunately, the service was still disappointing and, in my experience, even less welcoming than before. The staff were not friendly, which significantly affected the overall experience. I specifically went for Peruvian-style Pan Francés and tamales. The bread was very good , fresh, with great texture and flavor. No complaints about the quality of the Pan Francés. The tamales were also delicious; however, I was informed they are not made in-house but sourced from another vendor, so I cannot fully credit the bakery for that item. The products show strong potential, but customer service plays a major role in any establishment’s success. If the service improves, this bakery could become a great place to visit. At this time, however, I cannot recommend it based on the overall experience.

Our family is obsessed with this bakery! We order all our celebratory cakes here—our go-to is the tres leches with dulce de leche filling, and it’s always a hit. The service is consistently great, and they’ve even come through for us on rushed orders. Highly recommend!

Customer service was actually disappointing. Had a family member place a pick up order under their name and when asked for the order pick up, employee says there are none under that name and to provide what was ordered. Waiting for my family member to answer what she had ordered, employee keep saying there is no one under that name. Then magically find the name with the order after 30 mins of waiting. And mid conversation end up taking another client’s order and then ignoring. In addition, they do card sub charge regardless debit or credit, keep an eye during check out…

The bakery that I have bought challah bread closed. The challah bread at the supermarket is like eating cardboard. They do not get the sweetness right. The challah bread at Coco Choco is very tasty, that is when you can get it. It is hit or miss. So I call now to make sure they have them to save me a trip. I called today, the person answering the phone checked with the baker and told me to come after 3:30pm. I arrived at 4pm. No challah and was told to come back in an hour. Really? The person at the counter was apologetic and courteous, but I wasted my time. If I decide to go back, I will call and make sure they have an ample supply.
