D'lioz Bakery ( HANDMADE ) Introduce
In a city defined by its towering skyscrapers and fast-paced lifestyle, there is a special kind of magic found in the neighborhood "hole-in-the-wall" establishments. D'lioz Bakery, located in the heart of the Upper West Side/Manhattan Valley area, is exactly one of those hidden gems that New Yorkers cherish. Specializing in handmade baked goods, D'lioz Bakery brings an authentic, artisanal touch to the daily routines of local residents. Unlike the massive commercial chains that dominate much of Manhattan, this bakery focuses on the craft of baking by hand, ensuring that every pastry, bun, and sandwich carries a level of quality and care that is increasingly rare in the modern culinary scene.
For those living in or visiting the New York region, D'lioz Bakery represents the quintessential local experience. It is the type of place where the scent of fresh dough and brewing coffee wafts onto the sidewalk, inviting passersby to take a moment and indulge. Whether you are a long-time local looking for your new morning ritual or a first-time visitor to the city seeking an authentic taste of New York hospitality, D'lioz provides a warm, friendly environment. Its reputation is built on the foundation of being a reliable, high-quality neighborhood staple that prioritizes flavor and freshness above all else. The "Handmade" suffix in their name isn't just a label; it is a promise of the traditional techniques used in their kitchen every single day.
Location and Accessibility
D'lioz Bakery is conveniently situated at 926 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY 10025, USA. This location places it perfectly between West 105th and West 106th Streets, a vibrant section of the city that bridges the gap between the Upper West Side and Harlem. For local users, the bakery is exceptionally accessible regardless of your preferred mode of transport. For those navigating the city's extensive subway system, the bakery is just a short walk from the 103rd Street Station, which serves the 1 train, as well as the 103rd Street Station for the A, B, and C lines. This dual-line accessibility makes it an easy stop for commuters heading downtown or locals returning home from across the city.
The bakery is also well-served by the Manhattan bus network, with several routes running along Amsterdam and Broadway. For those who prefer to explore the city on foot or by bike, the shop is located near the beautiful greenery of Central Park and Morningside Park, making it an ideal destination to pick up snacks for a park picnic. The storefront itself is modest and inviting, embodying the classic "hidden gem" aesthetic that promises a rewarding experience for those who step inside. Its location on a major avenue ensures it remains a bustling hub of activity while still maintaining the intimate feel of a neighborhood corner store.

What is worth choosing
When you walk into D'lioz Bakery, the selection of handmade goods can make it difficult to pick just one thing, but there are several standout items that have become favorites among the locals. For those looking for the ultimate New York breakfast, the combination of a Breakfast Sandwich and a Blueberry Muffin is highly recommended. The breakfast sandwiches are prepared with fresh ingredients and have been described by patrons as part of "the most delicious breakfast" they've ever had. Pairing this with one of their fantastic blueberry muffins—which are moist and bursting with real fruit—provides a balanced and indulgent start to any day.
For those who appreciate traditional Latin-influenced flavors, the Guava Bun is an absolute must-choose. These buns are often available fresh out of the oven, featuring a generous amount of sweet, tangy guava filling encased in a soft, handmade dough. It is a large, satisfying treat that perfectly captures the "handmade" spirit of the bakery. To wash it all down, their Americano is frequently cited as being exactly "how it should be"—strong, rich, and flavorful. If you are in the mood for something sweeter, their hot chocolate is also a fantastic choice, especially during the cooler New York months. No matter what you select, choosing D'lioz Bakery means choosing quality, tradition, and a heartfelt connection to the local community.

First restaurant I’ve ever eaten at in NYC and I must say it was the best experience I could’ve possibly had! I had a breakfast sandwich with a blueberry muffin and hot chocolate. All three were fantastic, it made for the most delicious breakfast I’ve ever had! Service was very friendly as well, couldn’t have asked for anything better! Looking forward for trying more of their menu options while I’m here!

It’s still the hole in the walls that make all the difference in NYC. Love my huge fresh out of the oven guava bun, and an Americano how it should be.

This is the bakery/coffee shop of my dreams!! Great baked goods: CHALLAH! , cookies, scones, muffins, rolls, cakes by the slice. Some specialties of Ecuador, tacos, pernil sandwiches. The shop makes everything, daily, from scratch. Portions are large, prices are very fair and you feel so valued as a customer by the owner. Alejandro. Can you tell I'm a fan? Go and explore!

I’m a huge baked goods connoisseur and I was getting together with some friends with whom I’d already reviewed this month’s Cronut flavor, so I wanted to treat them to something fun and new from somewhere I hadn’t been before. When I saw another reviewer mentioned guava brioche I knew I was willing to go out of my way while walking home to get some. Luckily I got the last two, I think they were around $5 each. The store is small but the gentleman behind the counter was super friendly. The case was full of delicious looking baked goods, so I’ll be going to go back to try something else soon. Not to mention there’s a menu on the wall of other food options and some empanadas. The brioche was delicious! Guava is kind of an uncommon flavor but when I travel in Florida I always look for it in panderias. Edit: I’ve also tried an iced coffee, pan de yucca, and empanadas while going back for more brioche - all great!

Delicious, fluffy house-baked cheese pan de yuca — warm and fresh when I came in — plus good coffee. Outrageous enfrijoladas. Amazing addition to the neighborhood, can’t wait to try their other offerings. Update: chicken and beef burritos are also great. Hot chocolate is incredible, cinnamony and warming. Update 2: recently added small fresh homemade Challah bread to the bakery menu — perfect for the neighborhood!
