NaiSnow Tea and Bakery (Columbia University) Introduce
In the vibrant heart of the Upper West Side, just steps away from the prestigious campus of Columbia University, a new culinary destination is capturing the attention of New York’s food enthusiasts. NaiSnow Tea and Bakery has officially made its mark in Manhattan, bringing its renowned fusion of traditional Asian baking techniques and modern, "viral" dessert trends to 971 Amsterdam Avenue. For years, dedicated fans of the brand’s authentic flavors had to make the long "trek" to their locations in Queens, but the opening of this Manhattan outpost has been met with significant local excitement. It serves as a sophisticated yet accessible hub for students, faculty, and neighborhood residents who seek something beyond the standard New York bakery fare.
The atmosphere at NaiSnow Tea and Bakery is designed to be "out of your expectations," offering a sleek, welcoming environment where the aroma of buttery, laminated pastry dough mingles with the delicate scents of premium matcha and freshly brewed tea. This is a place that understands the rhythm of the city; it is equally suited for a quick morning pick-me-up or a relaxed afternoon treat between classes. The staff operates with an efficiency that New Yorkers appreciate, yet they maintain an artisanal focus on the complex layering and presentation of their signature goods. As you enter, the display cases often showcase the "heartbeat" of the bakery—rows of golden, flaky tarts and vibrant, layered lattes that look as impressive in person as they do in the viral social media posts that have made the shop famous.
What truly distinguishes NaiSnow from the numerous cafes in the 10025 zip code is its commitment to high-quality ingredients at affordable price points. In a city where specialty pastries can often command premium prices, NaiSnow has been praised by real customers as "such a steal for the quality." The bakery specializes in a unique category of "tiramisu egg tarts," which combine the creamy, coffee-soaked elements of the classic Italian dessert with the crisp, jiggly texture of a Portuguese-style egg tart. This innovative spirit extends to their beverage menu, which offers everything from decadent cheese-foam topped matcha to healthy, fiber-rich green juices, providing a well-rounded experience for every type of palate.
Location and Accessibility
NaiSnow Tea and Bakery is perfectly situated at 971 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY 10025, USA. Located between West 107th and West 108th Streets, the bakery occupies a prime position on the Upper West Side, making it a central point for the Columbia University community and the surrounding Morningside Heights neighborhood. Its proximity to the university means it is a frequent stop for those looking for a high-quality study snack or a unique dessert to share with friends on campus.
Accessibility is a major advantage for this location. It is conveniently positioned near several major transit hubs. The 103rd Street and 110th Street subway stations, serving the 1 line, are just a few blocks away, making it a quick trip for those traveling from Midtown or further uptown. Additionally, the M7 and M11 bus lines run directly along Amsterdam and Columbus Avenues, providing easy surface-level transit for local residents. For those enjoying the nearby greenery of Riverside Park or Central Park, NaiSnow is an easy detour for a refreshing drink or a flaky pastry. Its street-level entrance and prominent signage make it easy to spot even on a busy New York afternoon.

What is worth choosing
If you are visiting NaiSnow Tea and Bakery for the first time, the absolute "must-try" item is the Coffee Tiramisu Egg Tart. Priced at just $4.50, this pastry is a masterpiece of textures: it starts with a traditional, rich egg tart base, followed by a layer of moist coffee-flavored sponge cake, a thick dollop of mascarpone cream, and a final dusting of cocoa powder. It is a "decadent" experience that melts in your mouth and offers a sophisticated flavor profile that isn't overly sweet. For matcha lovers, the Matcha Tiramisu Egg Tart is equally impressive, featuring a dusting of high-quality matcha powder and a vibrant green tea sponge layer.
For those who prefer something a bit more traditional but no less impressive, the Caramel Egg Tart (often referred to as the Caramel Croissant Egg Tart) is highly recommended. At $3.90, it is widely considered a "steal" because of its Portuguese-style laminated crust that is remarkably buttery and flaky. The jiggly custard filling is rich and provides the perfect contrast to the crispy exterior. To wash it all down, the Velvet Matcha Layered Latte is a favorite among regulars who enjoy a "rich, creamy" beverage topped with a thick, savory layer of matcha cheese foam. If you are in the mood for something lighter or a "healthy alternative to boba," the Daily Green Bottle—featuring kale and green apple—is a refreshing and naturally sweetened choice that helps you power through a busy New York day. Whatever you choose, make sure to arrive early, as the most popular items tend to disappear quickly!

Back at NaiSnow and thank god they are finally in Manhattan! I no longer need to make the trek to their Queens locations :’) I made sure to arrive early just to snag these viral tiramisu egg tarts… JUST LOOK AT THAT CROSS SECTION!! Most importantly, they’re very affordable (only $4.5 each) considering how many layers and fillings you’re getting. *Matcha Tiramisu Egg Tart 抹茶提拉米蘇蛋撻 $4.5 *Coffee Tiramisu Egg Tart 咖啡提拉米蘇蛋撻 $4.5 The layers are decadent: the base is their original egg tart, topped with coffee/matcha flavored sponge cake and mascarpone cream, then finished with a dusting of matcha or cocoa powder. The cake is so moist it melts in your mouth. Surprisingly, I preferred the coffee one over the matcha, though my mom liked the matcha one more. The matcha flavor could be richer imo. *Caramel Egg Tart 焦糖可頌蛋撻 $3.9 The egg tart lean more toward the Portuguese style, with a laminated crust and a rich, jiggly egg custard filling. The crust was incredibly buttery and flaky. Honestly such a steal for the quality! *Daily Green Bottle 小綠瓶 $6.9 Full of fiber and vitamin C, and naturally sweetened. I liked the green apple juice and kale flavor. A healthy alternative to boba! *Super Avocado 超能牛油果 $8.9 A filling option/meal replacement, and I loved the oat popping boba. It is not sweet at all and the yogurt is smooth and thick. *Velvet Matcha Layered Latte 超厚千層抹茶 $5.9 Rich, creamy and decadent with a thick layer of matcha cheese foam.

The egg tart is good but they give me one matcha tart when I order a bundle of 6. Some stuff was not in the machine like the pig floss one which I had to order on the side Update: The manager has reached out very quickly and have given a refund. Props on customer service

Stopped by NaiSnow near Columbia and really enjoyed it. The strawberry pro bottle was refreshing and flavorful, not too sour, with great texture from the popping oats. The super avocado drink was filling and well balanced, with lots of real ingredients. We also tried a couple of egg tarts — flaky even when chilled and not overly sweet. Great spot for a casual afternoon drink or dessert, but it does get busy on weekends.

Naisnow Tea & Bakery feels like one of those polished, modern tea shops that knows exactly what it’s doing. The egg tarts are the clear highlight, beautifully caramelized on top with that glossy, slightly blistered finish that promises a creamy custard center and a flaky, crisp crust. The savory bacon potato tart adds a comforting, cheesy option if you’re not in the mood for something sweet. The shop itself is clean, bright, and well-organized, with cohesive green-and-white packaging and charming rose displays that make everything feel giftable and Instagram-ready. It leans more toward a stylish, mall-bakery vibe than an artisan café, but if you’re looking for a reliable, photogenic treat that tastes as good as it looks, this spot delivers. Really love!!
