Fay Da Bakery Introduce
For over three decades, Fay Da Bakery has been a cornerstone of the New York culinary landscape, serving as a reliable destination for those seeking the authentic flavors of a traditional Chinese bakery. In the bustling borough of Queens, specifically within the vibrant neighborhood of Flushing, this family-owned chain has cultivated a loyal following that spans generations. Residents of New York know that when they step into a Fay Da location, they are entering an establishment that prides itself on consistency and a deep connection to communal baking traditions. It is a place where the morning commute often begins with the comforting aroma of fresh buns and the distinct, creamy scent of Hong Kong-style milk tea.
The story of Fay Da Bakery is one of steady growth and unwavering commitment to the "wholesome" quality of their goods. While New York City is constantly evolving and chasing the latest food trends, Fay Da has remained a steadfast provider of classic staples. This particular branch on Kissena Boulevard serves as a local hub for families, students, and professionals alike. The bakery is designed to be a functional, welcoming space where the glass display cases are filled with a colorful array of both sweet and savory items. From delicate sponge cakes to hearty meat-filled buns, the selection reflects the rich tapestry of Asian pastry arts, adapted perfectly for the fast-paced lifestyle of a New Yorker.
Location and Accessibility are significant factors for any successful business in Flushing, and the Fay Da Bakery at 46-15 Kissena Blvd, Flushing, NY 11355, is exceptionally well-placed. Situated near the intersection of Kissena Boulevard and Main Street, it sits in a high-traffic area that is easily reachable for those living in or visiting the 11355 zip code. For those utilizing public transportation, the bakery is a manageable distance from the Flushing-Main Street subway station (the terminus of the 7 train), and it is serviced by several major bus lines that run directly along Kissena Blvd. This makes it a convenient "grab-and-go" stop for commuters heading toward Manhattan or residents returning home after a long day.
Accessibility also extends to the physical storefront, which is nestled among other local businesses, making it part of a convenient one-stop shopping trip for groceries and household needs. While street parking in this part of Queens can be famously competitive, many locals find that the quick turnover within the bakery makes it feasible for a brief stop. What is worth choosing when you visit Fay Da Bakery? For the uninitiated, the best strategy is to lean into the classics that have sustained the business for thirty years. The Pineapple Cake is an absolute must-try; it features a crumbly, buttery exterior with a dense, flavorful filling that strikes the perfect balance between sweet and tart. For a more savory experience, the Lotus Leaf Wrap is highly recommended by longtime customers. It is a hearty, portable meal that captures the essence of traditional dim sum flavors in a convenient bakery format. If you are in need of a refreshment, pairing your choice with their signature milk tea provides the quintessential Hong Kong-style afternoon tea experience.
For those looking for something to take home for the family, their variety of sponge cakes and filled buns—such as the roast pork bun or the custard bun—are consistent winners. However, a helpful tip for the savvy New York shopper is to aim for the morning hours to ensure you are getting the absolute freshest selection. While the bakery is known for its consistency, visiting early ensures that favorites like the ham and cheese croissants or the various flaky pastries are at their peak texture. Whether you are a regular who has been visiting since the 90s or a newcomer to the Flushing food scene, Fay Da Bakery offers a slice of New York history that is both affordable and delicious.

This is a small chain of family owned bakeries that just delivers consistently with the main Chinese items Pineapple cakes, milk tea and lotus leaf wrap, we been coming for last 3 decades and they haven’t change but are just good at delivering wholesome bake goods cakes for those special. We love the selections and variety here. This one is worth to stop into.

Usually consistent but they sell day old bread instead of throwing them out of end of day. Picked up a ham cheese croissant in the morning and it was cold and stale when it’s usually flaky and crispy. Absolutely shameful of them to still sell them as fully priced fresh baked bread.

Best coffee!! Better than McD’s or Dunkin’s 💥!!! This place( opposite Food Plus supermarket at Kissena corner Elder street) is always clean, only a few tables available. The other sites (Main street opposite Post office) are not as clean and well maintained.

The food and drinks are good. The staff here are ill manner and they talk very, very loud in Hockchew dialect. And I heard a number of times they reprimanded some senior citizens for speaking Cantonese to them as if their dialect is the official language. It's lucky that there's no Starbucks around here. Come on, please be a little polite and civilized. Don't be nasty and always fight with your customers.

A chain bakery located in Kissena blvd. The place is small and the service attitude was bad, she didn’t respond to my questions at all. But anyway, the bread was great! I’m in loved with the taro pastry💜
