Finn's Bagels Introduce
In the rapidly evolving landscape of Midtown West, where the industrial history of Hell’s Kitchen meets the sleek glass towers of Hudson Yards, Finn’s Bagels has emerged as a quintessential neighborhood fixture. For New Yorkers, a bagel shop isn't just a place to eat; it’s a morning sanctuary and a barometer for local quality. Finn’s Bagels, located at 477 10th Ave, positions itself as a modern take on the traditional New York City bagel experience. By prioritizing a clean, sun-drenched aesthetic alongside time-honored baking techniques, this establishment caters to a diverse crowd of locals, from creative professionals in nearby studios to residents seeking a reliable weekend brunch spot. While the city is filled with storied bagel institutions, Finn's prides itself on being a "worth bragging about" alternative that avoids the tourist-heavy crowds of more central hubs.
The philosophy at Finn’s Bagels is built on the foundation of the "perfect chew." For any true New York local, the texture of a bagel is non-negotiable—it must possess a resilient, golden exterior and a soft, doughy heart. Finn's delivers on this promise by offering a range of hand-rolled varieties that serve as the perfect vessel for their extensive menu of schmears and high-end proteins. Whether you are navigating the busy 10th Avenue corridor for work or heading toward the High Line for a morning stroll, Finn's offers a welcoming atmosphere that balances professional efficiency with a friendly, local charm. It is the kind of place where the staff often greets regulars with a level of care that reflects the true spirit of the neighborhood.
Location and Accessibility
Centrally located at 477 10th Ave, New York, NY 10018, USA, Finn's Bagels sits between West 36th and West 37th Streets. This specific block is a vital link between the garment district and the burgeoning Hudson Yards development. For those living or working in the New York region, accessibility is a major draw. The shop is a short walk from the 34th Street-Hudson Yards station (7 train), providing a direct link for those coming from Queens or across Manhattan. Additionally, it is within easy walking distance of the Javits Center and Pennsylvania Station (Penn Station), making it a convenient stop for commuters arriving via LIRR, NJ Transit, or Amtrak.
The shop’s proximity to the Lincoln Tunnel entrance also makes it a strategic pitstop for those traveling by car or bus. For pedestrians, Finn's is perfectly positioned for a pre-walk breakfast before entering the northern end of the High Line or exploring the Vessel and the shops at Hudson Yards. The interior of the shop is designed to be a "quiet retreat," featuring modern wooden beams, subway tiles, and a sun-drenched layout that provides a much-needed sense of calm compared to the bustling traffic outside on 10th Avenue. With a few tables and chairs inside, it offers a comfortable space to sit and enjoy a meal before diving back into the city's frantic pace.
Services Offered
Finn's Bagels is more than just a counter service; it is a full-scale breakfast and lunch destination that understands the varied needs of a Manhattan clientele. The services offered include:

What is worth choosing
Navigating the menu at Finn's Bagels can be a delightful challenge, but there are certain items that have earned a "must-try" reputation among locals. First and foremost is the Nova Scotia Salmon sandwich. Reviewers frequently rave about the "next-level" quality of the fish—it is thick-cut, silky, and far more substantial than the paper-thin slices found elsewhere. When stacked with cream cheese, capers, and crisp red onions on a perfectly chewy Everything or Sesame bagel, it becomes a quintessential New York meal that is truly worth bragging about.
If you’re leaning toward a hot breakfast, the Bacon, Egg & Cheese (BEC) is a local favorite. Finn’s uses high-quality thick-cut bacon and ensures a "stellar" egg-to-cheese ratio that results in a gooey, satisfying sandwich every time. For those seeking a healthier start, the "Healthy Wrap" (egg whites, baby spinach, mushrooms, and avocado) or the Avocado Toast on a whole wheat everything bagel are excellent choices that reflect the modern tastes of the Hudson Yards community. For those with dietary restrictions, the gluten-free bagels are highly worth choosing, as they are often cited for having a texture that rivals traditional dough. Regardless of your order, pairing your bagel with a fresh, strong iced coffee or one of their tropical smoothies rounds out the experience. Choosing Finn’s means choosing a slice of authentic, high-quality New York culture right in the heart of 10th Avenue.

Now this is a bagel shop worth bragging about. Finn’s Bagels is clean, fresh, and welcoming—the kind of place where you can see the care in every detail. Prices match the quality, and the quality is top tier. Their smoked salmon is next-level. The smoked salmon is thick-cut, silky, and bursting with rich flavor. Stacked with cream cheese, crisp veggies, and briny capers on a perfectly chewy bagel, it’s so thick you can’t even open your mouth wide enough to take a full bite—and that’s exactly how a bagel should be. If you’re looking for a true NYC bagel experience without the tourist trap disappointment, this is it.

The first thing we noticed was that the restaurant was always empty, even on weekends. This is a red flag. After finally giving it a try, we now understand why. The cashier lady was unwelcoming, and the bagels were stale and hard—worse than what you'd find at a grocery store. The portion sizes were inconsistent . The Nova Salmon bagel I got was tiny compared to the Tuna Melt my husband got (shown in photo) With their strict no pet policy (have signs no pet allowed all over the door) and no pet-friendly outdoor seating, makes this place an easy skip. I recommend checking out Kossar for fresh, homemade bagels instead in this neighborhood

Ok bagel, the everything seasoning had almost no salt. The cream cheese was fine. For whatever reason the service was slow and our order seemed to take longer than the others.

Outstanding bagels & quick service - perfect breakfast spot right near Javits Center! The variety of bagels is great and they make a stellar bacon egg & cheese. Nice and gooey and cheesy, with fresh eggs! Much quieter than most bagel places I’ve been to in NYC, and the few tables and chairs inside are convenient if you want to sit and eat. Solid spot.

This is my favorite bagel spot in Hudson yards when I’m working in the area. The bagels are fresh and delicious. The speed in which they prepare orders never ceases to amaze me. The staff is also very friendly. Overall, an awesome spot.
