What is worth choosing
When visiting Cardio Bakery, the first item on any local's list should undoubtedly be the Pineapple Buns. These are not just standard pastries; they are a hallmark of Hong Kong baking expertise. Patrons frequently comment on the expertise required to achieve the perfect balance of a flavorful, fluffy bun topped with the signature sweet, crackly crust. Pairing this with their Hong Kong Milk Tea creates a classic combination that is hard to beat in terms of authenticity and flavor profile. The milk tea is specifically noted for its rich aroma, which avoids the bitterness sometimes found in lesser versions, blending smoothly for a refreshing experience.
For those leaning toward savory options, the steamed rice rolls (Cheung Fun) are a significant highlight. The version featuring barbecue pork and egg comes highly recommended for its satisfying textures, while the dried shrimp variant is a popular choice among regulars. Furthermore, the fried dumplings have garnered a reputation for being one of the best deals in Chinatown. At 8 dumplings for $6, the value is exceptional, especially considering the quality of the skins which remain tender rather than tough. Finally, don't leave without trying the Portuguese-style egg tarts; their flaky, scorched-top custard provides a perfect sweet finish to any visit. Whether you are looking for a quick breakfast or a budget-friendly lunch, Cardio Bakery provides a high-quality selection that consistently rewards the explorer.

A hidden gem for authentic Hong Kong-style breads! Tried their pineapple buns (波蘿包)and steamed rice roll (叉燒腸加蛋). The bun was fluffy, flavorful, and baked with clear expertise. The real star was the Hong Kong milk tea: rich tea aroma blended smoothly! Also spotted many customers ordering the steamed rice rolls with dried shrimp (蝦米腸)– looked amazing, definitely my next try! The shop is cozy, service is warm, and everything is reasonably priced. Already planning my next visit!

I went for the first time yesterday and had the Portugese style egg tarts. They were very good. Today I tried their fried dumplings and they were very good as well. 8 dumplings for $6. Probably one of the best deals in Chinatown. They were not hard skinned like you get at other discount places. Very happy with everything I saw there.

Newly opened bun shop, oddly named Cardio Bakery, I guess the inference is that you're doing Cardio when eating their stuff ?? Anyways, brand new so very clean, they have both deserts and NK breakfast items like chung fun and other dim sum style noodles, we bought a Matcha Bubble Tea, and the medium was quite big, felt like 16ozs for 4.75$, not too bad. near the beginning of Division St on the Bridge side.

10/10 for pretty much everything here! All the staff here are nice! They are so pleasant and willing to help every single time. This place is a bit tighter, but I really enjoy their food and concept. I always get their flat ho fun noodles with hot sauce. For any of their noodles varieties, they use a lot of scallion, garlic, and beansprout and it tastes really flavorful even without any meat. I also like their bread and get a bun every time. I would say though that I didn't love their freshly steamed rice rolls when I got it the second time. I felt like they added too much starch that was not rice starch and it was way too chewy for me. Maybe it was just a bad batch they made because I didn't think it was bad the first time. Nonetheless, I've been going back at least 3-4x weekly!
