What is worth choosing
When visiting Eclair Bakery + Cafe, the sheer variety of options can be overwhelming, but there are several standout items that have earned the "must-try" status from regulars. First and foremost are the eclairs. The Pistachio Eclair, in particular, is a masterclass in balance, offering a nutty, cream-filled experience that isn't overly sweet. For those who prefer a classic breakfast pastry, the Almond Croissant is a top-tier choice—crispy on the outside, buttery on the inside, and generously filled.
If you are visiting during the lunch hour, the ham and cheese baguette is a simple yet perfect execution of a French staple. The quality of the bread is the star here, providing the perfect crunch to complement the savory fillings. For those with a sweet tooth that leans toward the decadent, the chocolate brownies have been described as "the best," frequently paired with a hot Americano for the ultimate mid-afternoon pick-me-up.
The recently introduced brunch menu also offers gems like the French Toast, which has received high praise for its flavor and texture. For a lighter option, the oatmeal with three kinds of fruit provides a wholesome and satisfying start to the day. Whatever you choose, you can be certain that it has been prepared with care and an eye for quality. Eclair Bakery + Cafe isn't just a business; it is a labor of love that continues to serve as a bright spot in the New York culinary landscape. Supporting this local establishment means enjoying some of the best pastries the city has to offer while contributing to the vibrant spirit of the Midtown community.

One of favorite places in neighbor hood to hang out. We always get coffee and almond croissant. For lunch the ham/cheese baguette is really nice. Friendly owner and staff. Back again for cafe americano and an almond croissant. Very good. Bathroom is very clean. Whole place is very clean. Back again on Valentine’s Day. Today we had a very good cup of coffee and a brownie which was delicious. Store was festive with Valentine decorations. We stopped in again yesterday to have a delicious cup of coffee and a fantastic brownie. The best! Also happy to see they now have a self serve water station which is great. Also we head from the manager and owner that they started a new brunch menu while we were away on vacation. Can’t wait to try it. Back this weekend to try the brunch menu. I had the oatmeal with three kinds of fruit but oatmeal should have been hotter. My wife got the French toast which was really delicious. Brief update in June. They are temporarily closed due to a fire. See sign on door and boarded up doors/windows. Hope they are able to reopen soon as we miss going there. Update review on 2-11-26 We heard yesterday that Eclair was reopening so we decided to stop by today to show our support. We ordered an Americano coffee and a round chocolate brownie. Both were excellent. We got there mid afternoon and only a few people were there but we were so happy to see Stephane was able to reopen. We missed you. I encourage everyone to stop by and show support.

New discovery! We tried the Lemon Cake, Cheese Danish & Pistachio Eclair, everything taste delicious, fresh with great quality! They have a lot of options from Sandwiches, Cookies, Tarts, Cheesecakes, Macarons & Eclairs. Also, they have coffee hot or cold. This place is cute, super clean, well lit, with plenty indoor space & the bathroom is super clean too! Love the decor! If I’m back in the area I’ll definitely come back to try other things! Excellent service! The staff are helpful & super friendly!

Great spot to indulge in French treats! 🥧 They have a big assortment of eclairs and other desserts like caneles. I especially love almond and pistachio eclairs. They are perfect - not overly sweet and so flavorful! 🧁Now they also offer breakfast on the weekends. Overall, amazing food, reasonable prices, and nice atmosphere!

The atmosphere is cozy. The Eclair is delicious with a thin crust and a sweet and light filling. I also recommend trying the mini passion fruit pie with mousse.

My wife loves eclairs so I couldn't miss this Eclair Bakery during my visit to the city. Truly the widest choice of eclairs and the best presentation of them. We tried one of the vanilla caramel and it did not disappoint at all. My ham and cheese croissant was way better than expected. The space has plenty of seating, bright and clean. And the staff is friendly.
