Fay Da Bakery Introduce
In the heart of Forest Hills, where the bustling energy of Queens Boulevard meets the refined charm of one of New York City’s most storied neighborhoods, Fay Da Bakery stands as a beacon for those seeking high-quality, traditional Asian bakes. For over three decades, the Fay Da name has been synonymous with the "soaring prosperity" its name implies, growing from a single storefront in Manhattan into an iconic local chain that New Yorkers across the boroughs have come to rely on. The Forest Hills location, situated at 107-50 Queens Blvd, continues this legacy by providing a "treasure trove" of baked goods that blend traditional Chinese techniques with flavors that resonate with a modern, diverse urban audience.
Walking into Fay Da Bakery, customers are immediately greeted by the comforting, yeasty aroma of fresh bread and the sight of rows of golden-brown pastries housed in self-service glass cases. This is a place where the hustle of the city is distilled into a "grab-and-go" efficiency that locals appreciate. As a staple in the 11375 community, it serves as a reliable sanctuary for those who want a quick, filling bite that doesn’t demand a high price tag. Whether you are a student stopping in for a post-class treat or a professional grabbing a savory bun before heading to the subway, Fay Da offers a consistent and wholesome experience that reflects the hardworking spirit of the neighborhood's residents and the immigrant families who staff it.
Location and Accessibility
Fay Da Bakery is perfectly positioned for maximum convenience at 107-50 Queens Blvd, Forest Hills, NY 11375, USA. Located on one of the busiest thoroughfares in the city, the bakery is exceptionally easy to find for anyone traveling through Central Queens. Its proximity to major transit hubs makes it a favorite for commuters; it is just a short walk from the 71st Ave - Forest Hills station, which provides access to the E, F, M, and R subway lines. This ensures that even those coming from Manhattan or deeper into Queens can easily make a pit stop for their favorite pastries.
Beyond its subway links, the bakery is highly accessible for those traveling via the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR), with the Forest Hills station located only a few blocks away. For locals who prefer the bus, several lines—including the Q60 and Q64—run directly along Queens Boulevard, dropping passengers off nearly at the bakery’s front door. While parking on Queens Boulevard can be a challenge typical of New York City, the bakery’s "no-frills" and efficient service model is designed for quick turnarounds, making it ideal for those who can find a quick metered spot. The storefront is a visible landmark in the community, sitting amidst a vibrant stretch of retail and dining that defines the Forest Hills experience.

What is worth choosing
Navigating the sheer volume of choices at Fay Da Bakery can be an adventure in itself. For those looking for a savory staple, the Hot Roast Pork Bun is an absolute must-try. Filled with tender, Cantonese-style barbecued pork and sweet onions, it is a classic for a reason and serves as a perfect, filling snack on the go. If you prefer something with a bit more texture, the Taro Puffs and Curry Beef Puffs offer a "deceptively filling" experience with layers of buttery, flaky pastry that crumble perfectly with every bite. The savory sandwiches are also a popular choice for local regulars looking for a quick, affordable lunch option.
On the sweeter side, the Taro Creme Filled Buns and Taro Creme Rolls are neighborhood favorites, noted for their light, airy texture and a sweetness that is subtle rather than overpowering. For a truly unique New York treat, try the Red Bean Milk Tea Slushie. At $6.50 for a large size, it is a refreshing bargain compared to similar drinks in the city, often surprising drinkers with a hint of taro flavor. Whether you are a fan of the traditional egg tart or looking to explore the world of Asian sponge cakes—which are prized for being light and not too sweet—Fay Da Bakery provides a high-quality, authentic experience. Choosing Fay Da means choosing a piece of New York history that continues to soar, offering a taste of home for some and a delightful discovery for others. Next time you're on the boulevard, don't miss the chance to treat yourself to this Forest Hills treasure.

I used to come in once in a blue moon to treat myself, but stopped after they had a B rating for about a year & a ½ or so. A few weeks ago they got an A again, yay! A few items seem to have gone up in price by a 10 or more cents, but honestly the prices are still cheap & a great price for the quality & tastieness of these quick bites that are deceptively very filling! My favorite buy is the hot roast pork bun, but I see a lot of people like the sandwiches & taro puffs. The bubble teas aren't "wow! that's cheap!" BUT are still affordable & definitely lower prices than in most bubble tea specialty or Asian cafes, especially the more unique orders like the Red Bean Milk Tea Slushie I ordered in my last visit (7/4/25), which you can see in the picture. It was $6.50 for a good big sized cup that I have seen be $8~9 in many places in Queens & Manhattan. It had a subtle taro flavor to it, a nice surprise. The service is efficient. Not friendly & pretending to have a chat with you, but still basic courtesy & honestly that doesn't bother me, I think it actually lends into the swift service. It is a very simple no frills grab & go place - if you want something with more attentive service, this isn't the place for you. That being said, I was offered the very cute bag in my last visit as I had a lot of purchased items so I really appreciated that! 🤗 I had never seen the bag before & I love Fay Da, I'd love to rep a local chain that staffs immigrant moms & grandmothers!! The one improvement that can & should be made about the atmosphere is cleanliness in the seating area. It doesn't get gross, but it does get a bit dirty very quickly.

This Fay Da Bakery is a treasure in Elmhurst. So many baked goods to choose from. I absolutely love the taro creme filled buns. I was visiting my friend in Elmhurst and came in here twice for those taro creme rolls. The atmosphere here is so pleasant. They also have tea to accompany your pastry. Wow, this Asian bakery is a treasure.

Phenomenal!! I started coming here a few months ago and I try something new each time I go. Every pastry I’ve tried has been SO good that I keep coming back for more. This bakery is a gem in Forest Hills and it’s in a good location right by the subway. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Try the hot dog bun or the coconut & cream bun, you won’t regret it.

The best coconut cream bun ever!!!!! Coconut cream buns have always been my favorite little dessert since I was a kid and I’ve had so many in my life where I’m sure you can guess some are a hot and some are a miss. This one is the best! So fresh and delicious but you can say that about anything here honestly. Although all the bakery items are amazing, you have to give some of their hot foods a try. The steamed pork bun is superior than then the bakery pork buns in my opinion. Also, the beef curry puff was perfectly flakey and well seasoned. I genuinely thought this place was hype but it’s definitely not! Also, the pricing just can’t be beat.
