Orza Bakery Inc Introduce
In the bustling heart of Yonkers, New York, a city known for its deep industrial roots and diverse community, sits a local establishment that captures the raw, authentic spirit of traditional baking. Orza Bakery Inc, located on New Main Street, is a destination that offers a unique sensory experience for those who appreciate the craft of high-volume bread production. For New Yorkers looking for a bakery that prioritizes the core elements of fresh dough and high-heat ovens over the frills of a modern cafe, Orza Bakery Inc provides a look into a "bread factory" style of operation that is increasingly rare in the contemporary culinary landscape. It serves as a vital resource for the local neighborhood, providing staples that are essential to the daily tables of many Westchester County residents.
The first impression many visitors have when entering Orza Bakery Inc is one of awe at the scale of production. Unlike the dainty, boutique bakeries found in parts of Manhattan, Orza operates with an industrial energy that suggests a deep commitment to feeding the community. The atmosphere is filled with the heavy, comforting scent of yeast and toasted flour, a hallmark of an establishment that handles significant quantities of dough daily. This professional environment is designed for efficiency, catering to those who know exactly what they want: fresh, warm, and authentic bread. It is a place where the local heritage of Yonkers meets the traditional baking techniques of the Hispanic community, creating a cultural crossroads that is reflected in every loaf and pastry produced on-site.
Location and Accessibility
Orza Bakery Inc is strategically located at 257 New Main St, Yonkers, NY 10701, USA. I had a very upsetting experience at this bakery. I bought a concha and didn’t notice anything wrong until I was already eating it, that’s when I found a fly baked under the bread. This is absolutely unacceptable and shows a serious lack of hygiene and quality control. I felt disgusted and completely lost trust in this place. I will not be returning, and I hope they take immediate action to improve their food safety standards.

When my husband and I walked in it was like stepping into a bread factory, I loved it! Service was great too. The bread, incredible! Definitely a grab and go establishment just to be clear.

I went to Orza bakery to get pan dulce and I found ants in the bag when I got home. This isn’t the first I see nasty things in there. First, they keep their door wide open which lets bugs and possibly rats inside easily. When I was in line, I saw as the bread was placed on dirty metal racks with no trays or paper underneath them. The paper bags filled with bread are left on the floor near the entrance and have flies around them. The place is just not hygienic and it really upsets me because the bread they sell is not the problem at all, in fact it is very good but the hygiene is so bad. If this is what the customers see once they enter, I can’t imagine what it is like further back.

The bread is baked fresh daily and always comes out warm and delicious. Quick pickup makes it super convenient, and the staff is friendly and welcoming every time.

This place is normally 6 stars worthy, but something has changed in the last few months. Don’t know if there is a new baker, or ingredient change due to shortages, but whatever it is I hope they can go back. Last three visits the bread has lost its shine, crackle and chewyness. Now its dry, crumbly and generic. (See photo for comparison) Please guys, get back to the old version we all love so much. 9/19/20 Update: Gave it another go today and it’s back to normal again. Star rating upped- if it sticks for two more visits I’ll add another. Fingers crossed.
