Thin Cookies - Bleecker Introduce
In a city famous for its oversized, gooey, and often overwhelming desserts, Thin Cookies - Bleecker offers a refreshing and sophisticated departure from the norm. Nestled in the heart of Greenwich Village, this specialized bakery has carved out a unique niche in the competitive New York City dessert scene by mastering the art of the "paper-thin" cookie. For local New Yorkers who appreciate the finer details of pastry craft, this establishment represents a masterclass in texture and flavor balance. The philosophy here is simple yet revolutionary: by reducing the thickness of the cookie, the bakery amplifies the caramelization of the edges while maintaining a surprisingly tender heart, creating a snacking experience that is as addictive as it is refined.
The "Thin Cookies" concept has quickly become a sensation among Manhattan's culinary enthusiasts, often drawing "cookie monsters" from across the five boroughs and beyond who are eager to see if the hype matches the reality. Unlike the heavy, cake-like cookies found in many tourist-heavy bakeries, these treats offer a lighter profile that allows the high-quality ingredients—specifically the rich butter and premium flavorings—to shine through without the typical "sugar crash" associated with bulkier sweets. It is a professional bakery that understands the New York palate: we want intensity of flavor, perfect execution, and a product that feels both indulgent and remarkably light. Whether you are looking for a personal treat or a high-end gift for a fellow foodie, Thin Cookies on Bleecker Street has established itself as a premier destination for high-quality baked goods.
Location and Accessibility
Thin Cookies is located at 166 Bleecker St, New York, NY 10012, USA. This iconic address places the bakery right in the thick of Greenwich Village, one of the most walkable and historically significant neighborhoods in Manhattan. For locals, Bleecker Street is synonymous with boutique shopping, legendary music venues, and an ever-evolving food culture. The bakery fits perfectly into this eclectic landscape, offering a quick-service window into the world of gourmet snacking for those walking between Washington Square Park and the various shops of the West Village.
Accessibility is one of the location's strongest suits. For those utilizing the New York City subway system, the shop is incredibly easy to reach. It is a short walk from the West 4th Street–Washington Square station, which serves the A, C, E, B, D, F, and M lines, making it accessible from virtually anywhere in the city. Additionally, the Christopher Street-Sheridan Square station (1 train) is nearby. While driving into the "city" specifically for cookies is a testament to their quality, parking in the Village can be notoriously difficult. Most local patrons recommend arriving on foot or via public transit to enjoy the vibrant street life of Bleecker Street while waiting for a fresh batch. The shop is a street-level storefront, ensuring easy entry for all visitors navigating the neighborhood.

What is worth choosing
When visiting Thin Cookies - Bleecker, the primary recommendation is to lean into their bulk options, specifically the 24-pack. Because of the cookies' unique thinness, they are incredibly easy to consume, and many first-time visitors find that a smaller order simply isn't enough once they taste the "buttery and flavorful" dough. Ordering a larger pack also ensures you get a variety of their top-tier flavors, which are all described as being executed to perfection.
Among the specific flavor profiles available, the "Golden Birthday" cookie is frequently cited as a standout favorite. It captures the nostalgic essence of a celebration in a sophisticated, crispy format that appeals to both children and adults. However, you really cannot go wrong with any of their selections; the "top-notch" quality remains consistent across the entire menu. To get the most out of your visit, it is highly recommended to eat at least one cookie immediately while it is still fresh and warm from the oven. The contrast between the heat and the crispy edges is what truly defines the Thin Cookies experience. For those who aren't local to the immediate neighborhood, these cookies also travel surprisingly well due to their low moisture content and crisp structure, making them an excellent choice to bring back to other parts of the city or even for a drive home outside of Manhattan.
Ultimately, Thin Cookies - Bleecker isn't just a bakery; it's a destination for those who appreciate precision in baking. In a world of "more is more," this Bleecker Street gem proves that sometimes, less—in terms of thickness—is significantly more in terms of flavor and satisfaction. If you find yourself in Greenwich Village, do not miss the chance to try what many are calling the best cookies in New York City.

Thin Cookies - Bleecker Reviews

Being a cookie monster, i had to drive in to the city to try these. Ordered two 24 packs because of all the hype. Service was quick. They told us it'd be ready in 10 minutes (Good, because i love my cookies fresh). Crazy thin (almost as thin as a potato chip). Crispy edges and soft interior. Buttery and flavorful. Honestly, i could've probably finished the 24 in one sitting especially because you don't feel calorically guilty after eating something so thin.

These cookies are paper thin, you can look through them. We made the mistake of only getting a box of 6. I think the way to go is to get 24 all of one flavour and stack them. All crispy and when they’re warm they’re soft. However there’s not a lot of bite

Thin, soft yet still chewy cookies. These were good, not great. I wasn’t a huge fan of the selection of cookies, so I just got all chocolate chip. I would’ve loved more classic options. They weren’t warm, and personally a tad too thin for me. Service was okay. Small store.

Thin Cookies – Bleecker really lives up to the name. The cookies are super thin but still soft and chewy, which is honestly the perfect texture. Way better than those oversized, overly thick cookies you get at other cookie spots. The best part is you can eat a few of these and not feel as guilty since they’re not massive. Great flavor, great concept, and definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area.
