The bakery offers an array of products that cater to the diverse tastes of the local population. In the New York region, bakeries often serve multiple roles—part pastry shop, part deli, and part community meeting point. Sin Dulce Bakery is no exception, providing a professional space where customers can browse a selection of breads and cakes. While the name "Sin Dulce" might suggest a focus on less sugary items, the shop is known for its traditional offerings that reflect the cultural heritage of the area. For those navigating the busy streets of Yonkers, a stop here offers a glimpse into the local food scene, characterized by its accessibility and variety.
Location and accessibility are primary features of this establishment. Found at 456A S Broadway, Yonkers, NY 10705, USA, the bakery is positioned on one of the most traveled roads in Westchester County. South Broadway is a vital artery for commuters and locals alike, providing a direct link between the residential neighborhoods of Yonkers and the northern border of New York City. For New Yorkers, accessibility is a key factor in choosing a local business. The bakery is well-served by several Bee-Line bus routes, including the 1, 2, and 4 lines, which frequently traverse South Broadway. This makes it a convenient stop for those utilizing public transit.
For those traveling by car, the bakery's location is near the intersection of various local streets, though parking on South Broadway can be a typical urban challenge during peak hours. The storefront is street-level and easily visible to passersby, inviting pedestrians to step in while they run errands in the bustling commercial district. The proximity to other local services, retail shops, and residential apartment buildings means that Sin Dulce Bakery is a staple for the immediate community, serving as a reliable point for quick pickups on the way home or to work.

The variety of bread is a staple for local families, offering a fresh and consistent product that is perfect for daily use. Additionally, the fruit cake is a highlighted item worth choosing if you are looking for a centerpiece for a small gathering or a family dessert. For those interested in savory snacks, the quesadillas are prepared to order and serve as a quick meal option for those on the go in the South Broadway area.
It is important for New York users to manage expectations regarding customer service and specific menu items based on local feedback. While the bakery provides a wide range of goods, some customers have noted that communication regarding orders and pricing can sometimes be a point of friction. When picking up items like bread or ordering multiple savory dishes like quesadillas, it is advisable for customers to be clear about their selections and confirm the total before the transaction is finalized. This ensures a smoother experience with the counter staff, as New York’s fast-paced retail environment can occasionally lead to misunderstandings.
Furthermore, regarding the tamales, some local residents have shared that the flavors and fillings (such as rajas, chicken, or pork) can vary in quality. For the most discerning tamale enthusiasts in the Yonkers area, it is often a matter of personal preference, and some locals even suggest exploring nearby street vendors for alternative versions if the bakery's current batch does not meet their specific taste. However, for a one-stop-shop experience where you can grab fresh bread, a fruit cake, and a quick savory bite all at once, Sin Dulce Bakery remains a functional and factual part of the Yonkers commercial landscape.
In conclusion, Sin Dulce Bakery at 456A S Broadway provides an essential service to the Yonkers community. It represents the gritty, authentic, and diverse spirit of the New York region, where local businesses serve as the lifeblood of the neighborhood. Whether you are a longtime resident of the 10705 area or a visitor exploring the culinary offerings of South Broadway, a stop at this bakery offers an opportunity to experience the traditional tastes that help make the New York metropolitan area so unique. By focusing on their popular breads and specialty cakes, you can find a flavorful piece of Yonkers to take home with you.

Do not go to this place for tamales. My husband ordered tamales de rajas and verdes de pollo. The tamales de rajas looked like this and instead of the tamales de pollo they gave him tamales de puerco. The tamales were not good either. If you want some good tamales I recommend going to the lady who sells them outside of Saint Peter’s church.

I went to pick up my order, I ordered 3 quesadillas. I put bread to pay but I was going to pay for it separately and my mom asked for a fruit cake and the girl asked that’s everything? We said yes but yes that we didn't want anything anymore and the girl only charged the cake and she was very aggressive saying I haven't charged for the bread. I think they should treat customers better, we don't all speak the same and we don't all understand the same thing. Was the lady without glasses super rude. Nasty costumer service

I looked at the reviews and just went ahead with this place for my daughter’s birthday cake not ever trying anything. First of the workers were very welcoming, attentive and very friendly. I loved that they never rushed me and wrote down exactly what I wanted and took pictures. The day I picked up the cake it looked exactly like the pictures. But the taste, WOW, as I served the cake at the party, people kept commenting how good it was and some even came to ask me where I got it from. When I finally tasted it, it was delicious. Perfect balance of softness and sweetness but not overly sweet. I haven’t had a good cake in many years. I’ve never had Mexican cake in my life either and now I know where I am getting all my future cakes. Thank you so much!!!
