In our never-ending mission to find good bread in New York (a true uphill battle), we finally struck gold. This place makes bread the way it should be: crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and packed with real flavor. But here’s the twist — the prices are unbelievably good. At our local market we paid double for something smaller… and honestly, nowhere near this quality. This spot just became a permanent stop for us. $6.95 for babka in 2025, amazing. So big it feeds a family of 4. Cute spot, offers coffee. An OG in the polish immigrant world, so this feeds the community. Every cake is massive, like 6 inch width and 11 inch diameter.

went to syrena’s to get a bagel and i saw they had this new sun dried tomato and basil cream cheese yesterday. literally one of the best cream cheeses i’ve ever had. had to go in today to get it again!! so good!!
