What is worth choosing
If you are visiting Bake and shop for the first time, the Mochi Donuts are an absolute must. These treats provide a delightful contrast between a slightly crisp exterior and a soft, chewy interior that traditional yeast or cake donuts simply cannot match. Because the flavors often rotate, it is worth asking the staff for the latest seasonal special. For those who enjoy a sophisticated caffeine boost, the Tiramisu Latte is a highly recommended choice, offering a well-balanced profile that manages to be indulgent without being overwhelming.
For fans of traditional Asian beverages, the Hong Kong Milk Tea is a standout. It is important to note that this tea is "strong" and features a deep, authentic tea flavor; if you prefer a creamier drink, don't hesitate to ask the friendly staff for a bit of extra milk to tailor it to your preference. If you happen to be visiting for a special occasion or simply want something unique, the Sanrio-themed ice cream cones are worth choosing. These adorable treats are not only delicious but are expertly designed, making them a favorite for both children and adults who appreciate a touch of whimsy. As the weather warms up, the transition to their ice cream menu and refreshing cold drinks makes the shop a versatile year-round destination. No matter what you select, the combination of "cute" presentation and "yummy" quality ensures a satisfying visit to this Elmhurst staple.
The success of Bake and shop lies in its ability to marry the trendy with the traditional. It captures the modern New York desire for visually stunning food while maintaining the fundamental principles of a great bakery: freshness, flavor, and a welcoming community vibe. For the people of Elmhurst, it has become more than just a place to buy a donut; it is a neighborhood bright spot that adds a bit of sweetness to the daily routine. Whether it is your birthday or just a regular Tuesday, stopping by this Grand Avenue gem is always a good idea.

Bread and mochi donuts were good. I tried Tiramisu latte, it was good. HK milk tea is little too strong for me, (should have ask for more milk) but with strong HK tea favor. Store inside deco was cute and clean. Will come back when is warmer to try ice-cream and other drinks.

Passed by with my 3 year old one afternoon to get a few breads to try. As I was choosing, my daughter’s balloon popped and she got upset. When I proceeded to pay, the cashier gave my daughter a donut! My daughter was so happy. Talk about customer service! That was very sweet and thoughtful coming from a new business. Thank you so much for that gesture. As far as the breads, they are soft and tasty! Pricing is decent as well. Will be coming back.
