While the energy inside is lively—often characterized by upbeat music and a steady stream of local regulars—the primary draw is the unmistakable homemade quality of the food. What is worth choosing
For anyone visiting Colombia Fama Bakery for the first time, the "must-try" item is undoubtedly the Empanadas. These savory meat patties are a local favorite, frequently described as "fresh and yummy" by regular patrons. They feature a perfectly crispy exterior and a flavorful, well-seasoned filling that captures the true essence of Colombian street food. At their price point, they offer some of the best value in Woodside, making them an ideal snack or a side to a larger meal. Be sure to try them with the accompanying sauces for an extra kick of traditional flavor.
Another standout choice is the Breakfast Sandwich. This isn't just a standard morning roll; the staff at Colombia Fama have perfected the art of the quick, hearty morning meal. Customers often rave about the efficiency with which these are prepared, ensuring you get a hot, satisfying sandwich even during the morning commute rush. Pairing this with a cup of their aromatic coffee is the quintessential Woodside breakfast experience. The coffee itself is worth a visit alone, providing a rich and smooth taste that reflects the high standards of Colombian bean sourcing.
If you have a bit more time to sit and enjoy the "cozy" vibes, the Traditional Breakfast specials—like the Calentado con Huevos—provide a full, culturally immersive meal. To round off your visit, don't overlook the "Pan Fresco" section. A warm Buñuelo or Almojabana provides a comforting, cheesy texture that is hard to find elsewhere in the city. For those with a sweet tooth, a slice of Tres Leches or a Milhoja provides a perfect, sugary finish to a savory meal. Whether you are there for the music, the friendly service, or simply the exceptional taste of authentic Colombian dough, choosing any of these house specialties will ensure you leave satisfied and eager to return to Roosevelt Avenue.

I love the empanadas , they are fresh and yummy , the place is clean and cozy , my only complaint is the noise , the music is to loud and you can’t even hear if you are in the phone or chatting with someone. But the price and taste of empanadas was so good!

The empanadas and all the breads are really good. I don’t trust the lunch since each time I found egg shells or plastic. Probably different teams because the baked goods and empanadas are ALWAYS solid.

Empanadas have little to no meat inside, mostly potatoes. They were made better before, coffee is still good here. Would not recommend these empanadas.

Ran in on my way to LIRR to pick up the baked good of the gods, Almojabanas. Not only were they warm, fresh out of the oven at 10:30 am, but they were incredible. The perfect combination of crisp outside and soft, chewy inside. If you are constantly disappointed by pan de queso at Brazilian restaurants (like I am) come here. They've got both the Almojabana and Bunuelo down to a science. Perfect grab and go for the train ride. Trying my hardest not to eat a 3rd...
