Mochi Mochi Donut

this place is a lovely grab and go type of spot (along with the 2 restaurants it shares the building with, machi machi for drinks and jongro rice hot dog for corndogs — both very good too). you pay for however many donuts at the kiosk and then tell the employee which one you want. super quick process. the donuts were a bit hard, im assuming they were made earlier and then just kept stored to be handed out. if they stayed in a warmer or something they’d have stayed soft. not a problem for me since i went home and heated them up a bit, but it does mean you dont get the best experience you can from just a visit. that being said, i think the mochi donuts here are ever so slightly cheaper than other places, which is nice. when looking online for flavors, i found there were a few missing, so my pictures should have all of the flavors as of october 2025 (im assuming halloween pumpkin is a seasonal one!!) overall def recommend this place :) esp to grab a corn dog and/or drink too all in one go - ratwater

Mochi Mochi Donut Introduce

In the vibrant, neon-lit corridor of West 32nd Street, better known as New York City's iconic Koreatown, a unique culinary destination awaits those with a penchant for chewy, colorful, and creative sweets. Mochi Mochi Donut has carved out a specialized niche in the Midtown Manhattan food scene by offering the increasingly popular mochi donut—a hybrid treat that combines the whimsical shape of a traditional American donut with the distinctively chewy, "QQ" texture of Japanese mochi. For New Yorkers and visitors navigating the bustling streets near Herald Square, this spot serves as a quintessential "grab and go" haven, perfect for a quick sugar fix or a light snack between shopping at Macy’s and exploring the Empire State Building.

Mochi Mochi Donut operates within a modern, multi-concept space that reflects the collaborative energy of Manhattan’s dining culture. Sharing its physical footprint with Jongro Rice Hotdog and Machi Machi, it provides a comprehensive "one-stop shop" for some of the most viral street foods in the city. This synergy allows patrons to experience a full spectrum of flavors, from savory, sugar-dusted Korean corn dogs to premium milk teas, all while securing a box of signature ring-shaped donuts. The atmosphere is energetic and fast-paced, mirroring the street it calls home, and it is a favorite for the local younger crowd and office workers looking for an afternoon treat that offers a textural departure from the standard bakery fare found elsewhere in the city.

Location and Accessibility

Conveniently located at 33 W 32nd St, Suite C, New York, NY 10001, Mochi Mochi Donut sits on the primary artery of Koreatown. For local residents and commuters, this address is exceptionally accessible. It is just steps away from the 34th Street-Herald Square subway station, which services the B, D, F, M, N, Q, R, and W lines. Additionally, it is a short walk from Pennsylvania Station (Penn Station), making it a strategic stop for those arriving in the city via Amtrak, LIRR, or NJ Transit. The location’s central Midtown position ensures that whether you are coming from Uptown or Downtown, you can easily integrate a visit into your daily routine.

Accessibility is a key feature of this suite, though visitors should be aware that the space is optimized for high-volume foot traffic. The entrance leads into a streamlined ordering area where digital kiosks handle transactions, reducing wait times during the busy lunch and evening rushes. Because it is part of a shared venue, the flow is designed for efficiency; however, those with mobility needs will find the ground-floor street access straightforward. Its position on 32nd Street also makes it part of the vibrant "pedestrian-friendly" culture of the neighborhood, where many visitors enjoy their treats while walking through the nearby shopping districts.

What is worth choosing

When visiting Mochi Mochi Donut, the primary draw is, of course, the mochi donuts themselves. For those new to the experience, the classic flavors like Matcha or Ube are highly recommended as they highlight the delicate sweetness that pairs so well with the rice-flour base. A local tip for the best experience: because these donuts are often prepared in batches earlier in the day to maintain the quick grab-and-go flow, taking them home and giving them a quick 5-to-10 second "refresh" in the microwave can restore that signature pillowy softness and chewiness that mochi enthusiasts crave. At a slightly lower price point than some competitors, they offer great value for a Midtown snack.

Beyond the donuts, many visitors are intrigued by the "Gold Coin Cakes." While these are a popular street food item, those looking for a specific filling—like the traditional red bean paste—should be mindful that the filling is typically concentrated in the center. If you are a fan of traditional Asian sweets, this is a fun, nostalgic choice, though the mochi donuts remain the standout specialty of the house. To round out your visit, pairing a Black Sesame mochi donut with a signature drink from the neighboring Machi Machi counter creates a perfectly balanced Midtown afternoon break. Whether you're a Koreatown regular or a first-timer, the convenience and unique textures at Mochi Mochi Donut make it a stop worth adding to your Manhattan food tour. Would you like me to see if there are any new seasonal flavor reveals for the upcoming month?
