What is worth choosing
When you visit Twin Donuts, the first thing you should look for is their variety of donuts, but the menu offers much more than just sugar-coated treats. If you are looking for a hearty start to your day, their breakfast sandwiches are highly recommended. Many regulars swear by the made-to-order egg and meat sandwiches, which are served piping hot directly from the grill. The efficiency of the kitchen means your bread is perfectly toasted and your eggs are fresh, making it a superior choice compared to pre-packaged fast-food alternatives.
For those with a sweet tooth that goes beyond the donut rack, the raspberry swirl cheesecake is a standout item in their bakery case. It offers a rich, creamy texture with a tart fruit contrast that pairs perfectly with a cup of their dark roast coffee. However, if you find yourself in the Bronx during one of New York’s notorious heatwaves, the ice cream selection is a must-try. Customers have noted that the ice cream is exceptionally refreshing and serves as a perfect relief when the humidity rises. Whether you are grabbing a quick "Boston Cream" to go or sitting down for a grilled sandwich, the combination of friendly service and hot, fresh food makes Twin Donuts a reliable winner in the Bronx dining scene.
Ultimately, Twin Donuts succeeds because it doesn't try to be something it's not. It is a hardworking shop for hardworking people. The cashier’s welcoming demeanor and the cook’s relentless speed create a synergy that defines the New York service industry at its best. It’s the kind of place you visit when you want a guaranteed good meal without the pretension of modern franchises. If you find yourself near the 161st Street corridor, whether you're there for Yankee Stadium, the courthouse, or just passing through, stop in and experience the local flavor that has made Twin Donuts a neighborhood mainstay.

The cashier is a true gem. Sweet and personable. I hope she’s well compensated. The cook was super fast and efficient. Honestly, this place could use a face lift but overall it’s pretty clean. The food was good and hot like I like it. Keep up the good work, see you next time I have to come to court to pay some tickets 🤣

I have come often and it's pretty good, made to order sandwiches. I came for their ice cream today, with this heat wave. Came in handy. Did t order food today and will update rating as I order food. The ice cream was good and the raspberry swirl cheesecake was good too but the ice cream was better.

On my break, I found a Twin Donut restaurant near me. I was pleased that they serve really good subs. I chose the Meatball Parmigiana as my order to stay. It turns out that the customer service was really great, as they asked me if I needed anything else. When I sat, I took my time with the Meatball Parmigiana. The place was mellow, clean, and I felt like I could chill there. Thank you Twin Donut!

Not sure about the Twin Donut side of the store but the Blimpie side does not represent the name brand. Went there to get a Blimpie hero with ham and they had no Swiss cheese, no Red Onions and no Black olives. Left the place and got a great sandwich at a local bodega at half the price. I love Blimpies but this place does not represent the franchise.

It's pretty good. I really enjoy a Blimpie sandwich over Subways.
