What is worth choosing
When visiting Chelsea Bagel of Tudor City, the primary recommendation is to lean into the customization options. For a quintessential New York breakfast, the "Lox and Onion" bagel is a top-tier choice. Adding avocado to this classic combination provides a creamy texture that elevates the salty bite of the lox and the sharpness of the onion. Local regulars often suggest the "Everything Bagel" as the vessel for this sandwich, as the garlic, onion, and seed coating adds a savory depth that complements the fish and spreads perfectly.
If you prefer a simpler approach, the wide variety of cream cheese spreads is worth exploring. Whether you opt for a savory scallion or vegetable spread or something more unique, the generous portions ensure a satisfying meal. For those visiting for lunch, the pita sandwiches offer a refreshing change of pace, packed with fresh ingredients and served with the same attention to detail as their famous bagels. Finally, don't forget to grab a few extra bagels to take home. The plain and everything varieties are local favorites for a reason, and as noted by previous customers, they perform exceptionally well when toasted at home the following day. Just be sure to specify your toasting preference clearly—whether you like a light golden touch or a deep, crunchy char—to ensure your breakfast is exactly to your liking.

I went in for a breakfast bagel, toasted - lox and onion plus avocado. I also picked up three plain and three everything bagels. I would have rated the bagel 5 had it been toasted slightly more.. it was barely toasted. Otherwise, the bagels themselves were fresh and even a day after once I landed back home.

I went to a few bagel shops on my trip to NYC, went to the more popular ones with the long lines, however, this was my favorite. Highly recommend. I got the everything bagel with scallion cream cheese. My wife got the Nova Scotia bagel sandwich. The best we had in the city.

First time in new york and wanted to try a locks bagel spot close to the hotel. I didn’t leave wanting anything more. Great bagels, great service, and was fast and easy.

I tries their bagels, wheat and whole grain. I also tries raisin and low fat cream cheese. They are good enough to start your busy morning in upper town NewYork. Their coffee also fresh. All is good with the reasonable price.
