Liberty Bagels 7 Ave Introduce
Introduction / Overview
In the heart of one of the world's most bustling urban corridors, Liberty Bagels 7 Ave stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of the New York City bagel. Located in the vibrant Midtown Manhattan district, this shop has rapidly ascended to become a "hot spot" for both long-time residents and curious travelers seeking the quintessential NYC breakfast experience. Since its inception, the Liberty Bagels brand has dedicated itself to preserving the time-honored techniques that define an authentic bagel: hand-rolling and kettle-boiling the dough daily on the premises. This commitment to craft results in a product that captures the legendary chewy, dense texture that has made New York bagels world-famous.
While the shop respects tradition, it is equally celebrated for its bold innovation and creative flair. Liberty Bagels 7 Ave is widely recognized as the "home of the Rainbow Bagel," a visually stunning and festive treat that has become a viral sensation and a symbol of the city's diverse and energetic spirit. Beyond the aesthetics, the shop provides a high-energy, fast-paced environment that mirrors the pulse of the surrounding Garment District. Whether you are a local professional grabbing a morning "BEC" (Bacon, Egg, and Cheese) or a visitor wanting to cross a legendary food destination off your bucket list, this location offers a slice of genuine New York culture with every bite.

What is worth choosing
When standing before the expansive menu at Liberty Bagels 7 Ave, the "must-try" item for any first-time visitor is undoubtedly the Rainbow Bagel with blueberry cream cheese. This combination has earned its status as a winner because of the delightful contrast between the chewy, dense bagel and the slightly sweet, creamy fruit-infused spread. It is an experience that appeals to both the eyes and the palate, making it a happy start to any New York morning. For those who prefer a savory profile, the "Everything Bagel" is another top contender; it is consistently rated as one of the best in Manhattan for its generous and well-balanced topping distribution.
If you are looking for a more substantial meal, the specialty egg sandwiches are highly recommended. "The Works," featuring eggs, hash browns, sausage, bacon, and American cheese, is a hearty favorite for those needing a powerful breakfast before a long day of sightseeing or work. For a uniquely local flavor, the "Highline" sandwich—made with eggs, pastrami, and scallion cream cheese—perfectly blends deli traditions with the bagel shop format. While the chicken cutlets in some specialty sandwiches, like the "Bronx Bomber," are a popular lunch choice, many regulars suggest sticking to the classic lox and cream cheese options, such as the "Classic Nova" or the "Novacado," to truly appreciate the quality of the bagels. Regardless of your choice, the friendly service and authentic New York atmosphere make every visit to Liberty Bagels 7 Ave a rewarding experience.

One of the hot bagel spots in NYC these days. I ordered the Rainbow Bagel and a bacon, egg & cheese bagel — honestly, both were solid. But the real winner was the Rainbow Bagel with blueberry cream cheese. So good. That chewy, perfectly dense bagel texture paired with the slightly sweet cream cheese was such a nice surprise. And the colors? Just looking at it made me happy before even taking a bite. Fun, tasty, and totally worth the hype. Definitely a spot I’d come back to.

The staffs were very sweet, but the bagel was kind of disappointing. It's more on the chewy side which I don't mind, but I got the bronx and the chicken was very dry and not crispy at all. I had it right away when it was still hot so I don't think that was the issue. I also tried blueberry cream cheese on plain bagel which was much better and cream cheese was good, but sadly I won't be returning.

I want to start with a special shoutout to one of the employees here. He was kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful. He helped me choose a bagel based on his recommendation, and when I tried it, it honestly slapped. It was really good. I also have to mention the rainbow bagel with birthday cake cream cheese. If you like a good cream cheese and enjoy that birthday cake flavor, you’ve got to give this a try. It’s definitely worth your money.

This was my first time trying Liberty Bagel and I can't to try the famous Rainbow Bagel with Birthday Cake Cream Cheese. It was tasty! The bagel was moist and the cream cheese was dessert. The whole thing was a dessert bagel. Is recommend trying this sweet treat.

Great bagels, good food, but slow service. High-quality bagel sandwiches however it took them 10 -15 minutes to make the sandwich at lunchtime when not busy. If you’re in a hurry you might be better off going somewhere else. It’s also one of those places that automatically asked for a tip when you order at the kiosk. I don’t live in the US so I have not been gaslighted into thinking that is normal or acceptable so beware if you are not from the USA.
