Paris Baguette Introduce
Introduction / Overview
Paris Baguette is not just a bakery; it is a global neighborhood café that has perfected the art of bringing joy through expertly crafted baked goods. The location at 371 7th Avenue serves as a prime destination for New Yorkers who appreciate the finer details of a well-made croissant or a perfectly balanced cake. This shop embraces a unique self-service concept that invites customers to grab a pair of tongs and a tray, allowing them to curate their own selection from a visual feast of sweet and savory options. It is a tactile and inviting experience that sets it apart from the standard "behind-the-glass" counter service found elsewhere in the city.
The shop is renowned for its commitment to freshness and quality, often "burning the midnight oil" to ensure that the shelves are stocked with vibrant, fruit-forward cakes and golden-brown pastries. Unlike many establishments that rely heavily on artificial sweeteners, Paris Baguette emphasizes the natural sweetness of its ingredients, such as fresh strawberries and blueberries, to create flavors that are sophisticated and light. Open from the early morning rush until midnight on most days, it caters to the "city that never sleeps," providing a clean, well-kept, and inviting space for breakfast, a midday work break, or a late-night dessert date.
Location and Accessibility
Conveniently located at 371 7th Ave, New York, NY 10001, this Paris Baguette is a strategic landmark for anyone navigating the Midtown area. It is situated directly across from the iconic Madison Square Garden and is just steps away from Pennsylvania Station, one of the world's busiest transit hubs. This makes it an essential stop for commuters catching the LIRR, NJ Transit, or Amtrak, as well as those utilizing the 1, 2, 3, A, C, and E subway lines.
The accessibility of this location is excellent for those on foot, with street-level entry that makes it easy to pop in and out during a busy day. For locals working in the surrounding office towers or staying at nearby hotels like the Stewart Hotel, the bakery serves as a reliable "third space" outside of home and work. Its proximity to the Garment District and Chelsea also ensures it is a frequent haunt for shoppers and explorers. The physical presentation of the shop is delightful, featuring bright lighting and organized displays that make navigating the selection a breeze even during peak hours.

What is Worth Choosing
If you are looking for the definitive Paris Baguette experience, the Blueberry Yogurt Cake is an absolute standout. It is celebrated for its light, airy texture and a sweetness that comes directly from the fruit rather than being overpowered by sugar. For those who prefer a classic creamy treat, the Strawberry Soft Cream Cake Slice is a local favorite, featuring cloud-like sponge cake and fresh berries that make for a perfect afternoon pick-me-up. For savory fans, the Smoked Sausage Bread and Pepperoni Pizzetta are highly recommended "grab-and-go" options that hit the spot when you need something substantial before "blowing town" via Penn Station.
Don't overlook the donut selection, particularly the Strawberry Mochi Donut, which offers a delightful, chewy texture that is a hallmark of the brand's unique fusion style. Pair your selections with one of their flavored coffees—the Korean Iced Milk Coffee is a refreshing, sweet choice for a summer day, while a classic Lavazza latte is the perfect companion for a flaky almond croissant on a crisp Manhattan morning. Whether you’re staying for a chat or taking a box of treats to share at the office, choosing a variety of their "mini" pastries is a great way to sample the exceptional range this 7th Avenue gem has to offer.

I love the concept: grab some tongs and pick what you want. It's like the Furr's Cafe experience without the smell of old people. There was a great mix of sweet and savory pastry, and steps away from Penn Station, for those times when you need to blow town. Bring your selections to the counter and order any one of their flavored coffees.

Really exceptional bakery. The physical presentation was delightful. They sold coffee, even at night! The owner was there burning the midnight oil and we got to chat for a few so that was cool. I had the blueberry yogurt cake and the strawberry cream. Both were food and really focused on the fruit to bring out the sweetness as opposed to relying on artificial sugars for sweetness and that was really different and helped set them apart. Open from early in the morning to midnight most days. Everything looked fresh, we'll kept and inviting. I really feel this business cares.

Not sure why the female employee had such an attitude when the doughnuts were clearly STALE. The doughnuts are usually my favourites. I’ve been to many Paris Baguette locations many times and never complained before—this was the first time because the doughnuts were that stale. The video shows the least stale of the doughnuts I bought, the super stale one was thrown away.

Absolutely terrible service. I ordered a hot coffee, but what I got was almost ice cold. When I asked to have it replaced, they made me wait while serving every customer who came after me. Even when I said I couldn’t wait any longer, the cashier rudely told me to “wait” and took the next order. Then, instead of making a new one, they poured my coffee into a container and tried to reheat it with the milk frother — and it was still cold. Truly awful service. I’ll never come back again.

I had a great experience at Paris Baguette on 7th Ave! I tried a few pastries and they were absolutely yummy, especially the chocolate croissant and the green tea strawberry cake slice. The only thing I didn’t like is the lack of metal spoons and forks… I also saw people sipping their coffee from plastic cups 😔 But the staff was friendly and the service was quick. It's a great spot to grab a treat or a light meal if you're in the area. Highly recommend!
