Bagel Bob's Introduce
In the iconic culinary landscape of Manhattan, particularly within the residential enclave of the Upper East Side, the neighborhood bagel shop serves as a vital community pillar. Bagel Bob's, located at 1641 York Avenue, has established itself as a go-to destination for locals seeking the quintessential New York breakfast experience. Known for its traditional approach to bagel making and its wide array of deli-style offerings, this shop caters to the diverse needs of the Yorkville community. Whether it is a brisk winter morning or a sunny weekend afternoon, the sight of patrons emerging with brown paper bags filled with warm, doughy delights is a common scene on this corner of the city.
The shop represents the classic New York City "no-frills" deli aesthetic, prioritizing speed and variety for its loyal customer base. For many New Yorkers, a bagel shop is more than just a place to buy food; it is a morning ritual. Bagel Bob's embraces this by maintaining a bustling, high-energy environment where the scent of toasting seeds and fresh-brewed coffee provides an immediate wake-up call. While the city is home to many competing bagel institutions, Bagel Bob's maintains its presence by offering a familiar, reliable menu that covers everything from the standard "everything" bagel to adventurous, house-made cream cheese concoctions that surprise even the most seasoned bagel enthusiasts.

What is Worth Choosing
When visiting Bagel Bob's, the standout choice for many is the **Hot Breakfast Sandwich**. For those experiencing their first New York-style breakfast, an egg and cheese sandwich on a toasted everything bagel is often cited as a transformative culinary event. The combination of the warm, chewy bagel and the savory filling creates a comforting meal that patrons have described as "the best breakfast sandwich" they've ever eaten. It is a hearty option that provides enough fuel for a long day of navigating the city or exploring the nearby park.
Beyond the sandwiches, it is highly worth exploring the **Specialty Cream Cheese** selection. While the shop offers all the classics, the more unique flavors are what set it apart from standard neighborhood delis. Sampling these house-made spreads allows you to customize your bagel in ways you might not find elsewhere. For those who prefer a simpler approach, a fresh, plain bagel with a generous schmear of their unique cream cheese flavors is a perfect way to appreciate the quality of the dough. Whether you are stopping by for a quick snack or a full morning meal, Bagel Bob's offers a factual slice of Yorkville life, delivering the traditional flavors that make New York the bagel capital of the world.

A hot breakfast sandwich on a New York bagel on a cold winter day. May have been the best breakfast sandwich I ever ate. It was my first New York bagel this way and it hit a home run! I wish I had the stomach, time and money to eat four more! They also had some cream cheese flavors I never knew ever existed. If near by for any reason this is a must stop.

They play loud commercials on the speakers. No one wants to hear that. They are too cheap to pay the small monthly fee for ad free music. And it's bad pop music. Annoying. So customers have to suffer with commercials. The owners are super greedy people. Look how small the bagels are. Look at my hand compared to this little bagel. And then they put a single egg on the bagel sandwiches. You can't even taste the egg! Rip off. Greed greed greed. We must let them know we will not accept higher prices for smaller portions. Just say no!

All the bad reviews are completely absurd. You’re in Yorkville. If you can’t afford it, just leave and go back to Ohio. Obviously it’s going to be expensive bagels, with high quality. I love bringing people here when visiting out of town. The real deal when it comes to New York bagels. “Ohhh the guy at the credit card machine wasn’t nice because I was slow and holding up the line” This is a place for locals. If you’re going to freeze up when asked to pay, again go back to Ohio. Also, it’s Bagel Bob’s, not Bob’s Bagels. Too many people be calling it Bob’s Bagels.

Bagels taste fresh and homemade. Their hummus is good too. There are options for different types of dietary needs. I love the sesame bagels and lox cream cheese.

I got a great Turkey club bagel sandwich and a delicious chocolate croissant. The food was absolutely amazing, great portion sizes, the bagel was clean, and the prices were affordable. Very pleased! Will be back next time I visit Manhattan!
