What is worth choosing
When visiting Hello Halloumi Bakery for the first time, the sheer variety of savory options can be overwhelming, but a few items stand out as absolute essentials. First and foremost, any of their halloumi-filled pastries are a necessity. These snacks are the backbone of the bakery, offering a flaky, golden crust that contrasts beautifully with the firm, salty bite of the imported cheese. They are perfectly sized for an on-the-go snack but rich enough to feel like a treat.
On the beverage side, the Rose Latte is a local favorite. Unlike many floral-flavored drinks that can taste artificial or like perfume, this latte uses genuine Cypriot rose cordial. The result is a subtle, elegant sweetness and a striking pink hue that makes it a popular choice for social media enthusiasts and coffee connoisseurs alike. If you prefer something colder and stronger, the Freddo espresso is highly recommended. It is a masterful execution of the chilled espresso drink, providing a bold caffeine kick that is perfect for the New York summer heat.
As the bakery expands its offerings, keep an eye out for their full meal options launching this spring. These promise to bring even more depth to the menu, incorporating the same high-quality halloumi and seed-oil free standards into more substantial dishes. Regardless of what you choose, the freshness of the ingredients and the lack of heavy oils mean you leave feeling satisfied rather than weighed down. For those looking to support a business that prioritizes authentic culture and clean ingredients, Hello Halloumi Bakery is a West Village treasure that truly delivers on its promises.

Hello Halloumi Bakery is such a gem in the West Village. The entire concept centers around halloumi cheese, and the menu leans savory in the best way—flaky pastries, grilled halloumi, and unique snackable items you don’t see everywhere. The coffee is excellent, especially the rose latte made with genuine Cypriot rose cordial. It actually tastes like roses with coffee, not overly sweet or artificial, and it’s beautifully pink—perfect for Valentine’s Day or honestly any day. What started as snack-sized pastries is now expanding into full meals, with a brand-new menu launching this spring. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you want something different but really well done.

I’m genuinely very impressed with HelloHalloumi. Their selection is excellent and everything is always fresh and perfectly crispy. You can really tell the ingredients come straight from Cyprus, and I love that it’s completely seed-oil free. The coffee is also amazing — you have to try the Freddo espresso. On top of that, the team is incredibly warm and kind, which makes the whole experience even better. Highly recommended.

We came to this West Village Bakery for the Valentine's Day Special ROSE MATCHA CLOUD 🩷💚 and this did not disappoint. I also ordered their classic must have ROSE MILK LATTE. The place is small and quaint, the Barista was very nice and helpful. She took her time crafting our lattes to perfection and even added some edible flowers on top to finish it off. Our drinks came with a free Halloumi Mini Burger and I also got the Halloumi Cinnamon Roll which was flaky and delicious. They have alot of other little pastries to offer too.We loved the experience and we will be back.

I've lived in Cyprus for 20 years, and when I say it doesn't get more authentic than Hello Halloumi, I mean it. Starting from the variety and quality of the food to the beverages and ending with the hospitality of the place and staff. The whole experience brims with warmth and culture. The owner was very welcoming and kindly explained how they make their pastries in-house every morning. Even more impressive is that this is a one of a kind store! I can't not point out how evident it is that Hello Halloumi cares about every customer that comes in. The staff help with making a choice and explain each pastry. I also noticed that the store prioritizes happy customers. Whenever someone had to wait in line, the staff kept checking in and even offered free samples. Honestly, everything I tried was delicious. However, my personal favorites were the halloumi balls and grilled cheese sandwich special. I am really excited about everything this place offers. Well done to Constantino and his team!

Hellohallouminyc just opened in the West Village, bringing NYC its first-ever halloumi-inspired bakery. 🧀✨ This charming spot serves adorable bite-size pastries made with authentic halloumi imported straight from Cyprus, giving every bite that perfect mix of salty, buttery goodness. Their menu has an amazing range of sweet and savory pastries — super flaky, super flavorful, and totally unique. They also offer vegan and gluten-free options, so there’s something for everyone. We tried the Ice Rose Latte and it was incredible. The bagel bites and three-cheese pastry , nutella puffs were definite favorites too. They even offer catering if you’re planning an event and want something fun and different. If you love cute cafés, creative pastries, and great coffee, this West Village newcomer absolutely belongs on your list. 💛
