noa, a bakery Introduce
In the heart of the West Village, where cobblestone charm meets Manhattan’s modern culinary edge, noa, a bakery has emerged as a sophisticated newcomer to the local landscape. Located at 92 Greenwich Avenue, this establishment is the second venture from the team behind the popular Midtown destination, noa, a café. While its predecessor established a loyal following for its signature cinnamon rolls and specialty lattes, the West Village location expands on this foundation by introducing a distinct blend of European techniques and Middle Eastern-inspired flavors. For New York residents and visitors navigating the historic 10011 zip code, this shop offers a "chic and unpretentious" sanctuary that treats baking as an art form.
The aesthetic of noa, a bakery is a reflection of the West Village itself: elegantly designed, intimate, and intentionally cozy. The interior is characterized by crisp, clean decor, natural light, and a minimalist marble-accented seating area that serves as a perfect backdrop for people-watching along Greenwich Avenue. Despite its smaller footprint, the bakery manages to project an atmosphere of genuine hospitality. It has quickly become a neighborhood favorite for those who appreciate thoughtful craftsmanship, whether that manifests in a perfectly laminated croissant or a fragrant, flower-adorned cake. In a city where large-scale commercial bakeries often dominate, noa maintains a sense of "boutique excellence," providing a focused menu where every ingredient—from house-made cardamom syrup to basil oil—is utilized with precision.
Location and Accessibility
noa, a bakery is situated at 92 Greenwich Ave, New York, NY 10011, USA. This prime Manhattan location places it at the vibrant intersection of the West Village and Greenwich Village, making it a convenient stop for locals walking to Jefferson Market Garden or the nearby High Line. The shop occupies a prominent corner along one of the neighborhood's most iconic avenues, easily identifiable by its sleek, modern storefront that blends seamlessly into the surrounding historic brownstones.
Accessibility is a major benefit for this location, as it is exceptionally well-connected to New York’s public transit network. The bakery is just a short walk from the 14th Street station, a massive transit hub serving the 1, 2, 3, F, M, and L lines. Additionally, it is reachable from the Christopher Street-Sheridan Square station. For those preferring the bus, the M14A-SBS and M11 lines provide frequent service within a few blocks. While the interior is "undeniably cute but extremely small," the shop’s street-level entrance and central location make it a top-tier destination for a quick grab-and-go morning treat or an afternoon pick-me-up during a stroll through lower Manhattan.

What is worth choosing
For the definitive noa experience, the Persian Love Cake is the shop’s crown jewel. This beautiful, fragrant cake is flavored with cardamom and rose water, offering a subtle floral sweetness that is distinctly Middle Eastern. It is as much a visual delight as a culinary one, often topped with delicate dried petals. If you are leaning toward a more traditional morning pastry, the Cardamom Bun is a local favorite; it provides a more nuanced, spicy sweetness than a standard cinnamon roll and showcases the bakery's dedication to Scandinavian-style bakes.
On the savory front, the Focaccia Sandwich—often featuring a combination of kale, salami, dried cherries, and cream cheese—is worth choosing for its sophisticated balance of salty and sweet. The bread itself is a highlight, boasting a crunchy top and a remarkably fluffy interior. For those looking to try a specialty beverage, the "Noa's Latte" (cardamom and honey) or the "Baklava Latte" (house-made baklava syrup and pistachio) are highly recommended. While the shop is compact and can get busy during peak hours, the unique flavor profiles—like the Pistachio Knafeh Croissant or the Tahini Coffee Cake—provide a taste of West Village innovation that makes the visit well worth the stop. Pair your pastry with one of their natural-flavored lattes for a quintessential Greenwich Avenue breakfast.

Their new West Village location is undeniably cute, but extremely small. There are only three tiny round tables and no restroom. We had to squeeze onto a narrow bench and hard marble stools, all while wearing bulky puffers in a crowded space. The music was also so loud that my friend and I could barely hold a conversation. Food-wise, we shared a focaccia sandwich ($12.5), which was really delicious. It came with kale, salami, dried cherries, and cream cheese. The focaccia had a crunchy top with a fluffy interior. But for the price, they could have been a bit more generous with the salami. We also tried the Persian Love Cake ($5.5), flavored with cardamom and rose water. It was beautiful and fragrant. Unfortunately, the flat white ($5) was underwhelming. I’ll probably stick to their pastries on future visits.

I got a raspberry pistachio croissant. It was extremely sweet and cold and the croissant texture was all off nevermind that it costed me 10 bucks. I had read really good reviews for their baked goods so really disappointed.

5 stars for this beautifully designed cafe. Super convenient location in the west village stocked with freshly baked goods and an espresso bar. Their croissants are delicious, their breakfast sandwiches are super niche. Bite size sandwiches either on focaccia or croissants with different breakfast selections. The decor is crisp and clean, seating area gets lots of light… perfect for people watching. Noa’s staff is very friendly and their coffee + espresso is spectacular.

Walked by this cute bakery and impulsively went in for a sweet treat. Ordered a tahini cinnamon bun and it had a great sesame flavor! Very enjoyable! The place is a bit small with limited seats. The service was very good and efficient!

New bakery with Scandinavian and middle eastern flavors. The house made sourdough bun for breakfast was the best way to start my day. I got noa’s latte made with house made cardamom and honey syrup. Will definitely be coming back to try all their other goodies!
