HOUSE OF TRES LECHES/ By Chef Dupeiri Introduce
In the vibrant heart of Brooklyn’s culinary landscape, specifically where the creative energy of Bushwick meets the traditional charm of the surrounding residential blocks, House of Tres Leches by Chef Dupeiri has carved out a unique niche. For New Yorkers, the "three milks" cake—or tres leches—is a beloved staple often found in local panaderias and dessert menus across the five boroughs. However, House of Tres Leches takes this classic Latin American sponge cake and elevates it into a specialized art form. This establishment is not your typical corner bakery; it is a destination specifically designed for those who appreciate the delicate balance of a perfectly soaked cake that remains light, airy, and bursting with contemporary flavors.
For residents and workers in the Brooklyn area, finding a dessert that stands out at a celebration or an office gathering is a top priority. Chef Dupeiri’s approach involves moving beyond the traditional vanilla profile to introduce a spectrum of gourmet options. Local patrons frequently note that even those who were previously "not a fan" of this specific cake style find themselves converted after sampling the house specialties. The bakery serves as a neighborhood focal point on Wyckoff Avenue, drawing in passersby with the promise of a decadent, moisture-rich treat that has become a local favorite for office birthday parties and annual celebrations alike. While it maintains a professional focus on its signature product, the shop embodies the artisanal spirit that defines modern Brooklyn businesses.
Operating a specialized bakery in New York requires a deep understanding of flavor and a commitment to innovation. House of Tres Leches by Chef Dupeiri meets this challenge by constantly experimenting with new infusions and toppings. Whether you are a local professional working nearby looking to impress your colleagues or a long-term resident seeking a high-quality birthday centerpiece, this shop provides a specific, high-end version of a comfort food classic. The bakery’s reputation is built on the strength of its recipes, which have managed to win over skeptical palates by "taking it up a notch" through the inclusion of premium ingredients and imaginative flavor combinations that are rarely seen in standard bakeries.
Location and Accessibility
House of Tres Leches by Chef Dupeiri is located at 230 Wyckoff Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11237, USA. This prime location on Wyckoff Avenue puts it right in the center of the action in the Bushwick/Ridgewood border area. This part of Brooklyn is renowned for its eclectic mix of street art, trendy eateries, and historic architecture, making the bakery an easy stop for those exploring the local scene. For New Yorkers navigating the city’s vast transit system, the bakery is exceptionally accessible. It is situated just a short walk from the Myrtle-Wyckoff Avs station, a major transit hub where the L and M trains intersect, providing a direct link for travelers coming from Manhattan, North Brooklyn, or Queens.

What is worth choosing
When visiting House of Tres Leches by Chef Dupeiri, the most recommended strategy is to move away from the basic flavors and dive into the more unique offerings that have made the shop famous. The Pistachio Tres Leches is frequently cited as a standout choice, offering a sophisticated nuttiness that perfectly complements the creamy, milk-soaked sponge. For those who prefer a more classic "New York" twist on the dessert, the Red Velvet Tres Leches is an excellent choice, combining the slight cocoa tang of the red velvet cake with the decadent moisture of the three-milk soak. These variations are what truly define the "Chef Dupeiri" experience, providing a flavor profile that you simply won't find at a standard supermarket or local bodega.
For those who are purchasing for a group, such as an office party or a family dinner, the Coconut and Strawberry flavors are highly worth choosing. These are crowd-pleasers that retain a fresh, bright quality even with the rich creaminess of the cake. Local office workers who buy these for their colleagues report that "everyone loves them," making them a safe yet impressive bet for any gathering. The individual slices are also a great way to sample the menu if you are visiting for the first time, allowing you to experience the texture and flavor before committing to a full-sized cake for a future event.
While the product itself is highly praised for its quality and flavor innovation, it is worth noting for local users that the pickup process for pre-orders can sometimes be busy. To ensure the best experience, it is recommended to confirm your order details clearly over the phone and allow for a small buffer of time during the pickup window, especially on weekends or during special holiday events. If you are planning to have an Uber or a car service waiting outside, it is wise to check in with the staff a few minutes before your driver arrives to ensure your cake is ready for transport. By focusing on these gourmet flavor highlights and planning your visit during off-peak times, you can enjoy some of the most innovative and delicious tres leches cakes that Brooklyn has to offer.

Customer service was rude and disorganised. I ordered a birthday cake beforehand with an inscription. When I went to pick it up, service was rude and slow. There was a party happening in the back and after it was obvious my cake had been sold and I shared I had an Uber! waiting, there was no sense of urgency. I only stayed because it was a friends annual request for tres leches and I wanted to try a new place. Big mistake. There was no apology or customer service for the oversight and the 15 minute wait for a cake that wasn’t there.

I was not a fan of Tres leches cake until now . They really take it up a notch with different flavors . There is coconut , red velvet , pistachio , strawberry just to name a few. I work nearby and buy their cakes for the office. Everyone loves them.
