La Antioquena Bakery 2 Introduce
When it comes to the diverse culinary fabric of New York City, few neighborhoods offer as much authentic soul as the intersection of Corona and Flushing in Queens. For local residents and savvy food explorers alike, La Antioquena Bakery 2 has become a essential destination for those seeking a true taste of Colombia. Situated in the vibrant 11368 zip code, this bakery is far more than just a place to grab a quick roll; it is a sensory experience where the warmth of traditional South American hospitality meets the artisanal skill of master bakers. From the moment you step off the bustling street, you are greeted by the comforting aroma of fresh dough and the colorful, festive atmosphere that characterizes this neighborhood gem.
The "Paisa" culture of the Antioquia region of Colombia is famous for its dedication to quality and hearty portions, and La Antioquena Bakery 2 brings that spirit to the streets of New York. In a city where many establishments lean toward the corporate and impersonal, this bakery maintains a "small but great" vibe that locals cherish. It is a place where the staff knows their regulars and is always ready with a smile and a expert recommendation for the first-timer. Whether you are looking for a morning pick-me-up or a treat to share with your family at the end of a long day, this bakery provides a consistent, high-quality experience that has earned it the reputation as one of the best authentic Colombian bakeries in the entire New York region.
Location and Accessibility
La Antioquena Bakery 2 is conveniently located at 40-07 National St, Flushing, NY 11368, USA. This location puts it right in the heart of one of the most active commercial zones in Queens. For locals, National Street is a familiar thoroughfare, known for its dense collection of international shops and services. The bakery’s central position makes it an ideal stop for residents running daily errands or commuters navigating their way through the borough.
Accessibility is one of the bakery's greatest strengths. It is just a short walk from the 103rd St - Corona Plaza station on the 7 train, which is the lifeline of Queens transit. This proximity to the subway means that anyone traveling between Manhattan and Flushing can easily hop off for a fresh pastry and be back on their way in minutes. For those who prefer the bus, multiple local lines serve the immediate area, providing direct access from various parts of North Queens. While street parking in this part of Flushing/Corona is typical for New York—requiring a bit of patience and local knowledge—the high turnover and pedestrian-friendly nature of National Street make it a perfect destination for those on foot. The shop’s vibrant decorations and inviting storefront make it a visible landmark that is hard to miss for anyone walking through the neighborhood.

What is Worth Choosing
When visiting La Antioquena Bakery 2, the bread selection is undoubtedly the highlight. Locals and reviewers alike insist that "you can't go wrong with any of the breads," but there are a few standout items that are particularly worth choosing. The mogollas are a top recommendation for anyone who enjoys a traditional, slightly sweet Colombian whole-wheat bread. These are often praised for their perfect texture—soft on the inside with just the right amount of density. For those who prefer a more savory experience, the pan de bono (Colombian cheese bread) and almojábanas are essential picks. These cheese-infused treats are a staple of the Colombian diet and are best enjoyed while still warm, offering a chewy, salty, and satisfying bite that pair perfectly with a hot cup of coffee.
In addition to the classic breads, the empanadas and meat-filled pastries are excellent choices for those seeking a savory snack. The balance of seasoned fillings and crispy or soft dough reflects the bakery’s commitment to authentic flavor profiles. If you are a first-time visitor, don't hesitate to ask the staff for their current favorites; they are known for their helpfulness and can point you toward the freshest batch currently in the display case. Whether you are grabbing a single mogolla for a snack or a full bag of assorted breads to take home, the consistent quality and "great vibe" of La Antioquena Bakery 2 make it a choice you won't regret. It truly is a slice of Colombia in the heart of Queens.

Small but great authentic Colombian bakery. The workers are always super friendly, it’s always well decorated, overall great vibe. Amazing bread too, especially the mogollas!

The food is subpar. I had the chicken empanada and it was literally bland chicken stuffed in a empanada. They also don’t have salsa roja.

I grew up around the corner from this bakery and I love the food here. You'll find the best coffee here along with kind service, the best empanadas, and great bread. It's a very tiny, cramped location, which leads to lines stretching out of the entrance in the morning when everyone's headed to work. They don't have an ATM, but there's one across the street if you need one. Also, plan on buying the food to go, since there are only a handful of seats. This will always be my favorite spot in Queens.

Awesome bakery. Great food, with good prices. There are few Columbian bakeries that aren't good but this bakeries prices make it a really appealing place. The people are really nice and friendly. They've given me shelter from the rain before and they participate in holidays. It's an overall great place with a good atmosphere.
