Capy Tres Leches Cake Introduce
In the vibrant heart of Corona, Queens, where the energy of Roosevelt Avenue never seems to dim, Capy Tres Leches Cake stands as a specialized destination for one of Latin America’s most beloved desserts. This pastry shop has dedicated itself to the art of the "three milks" cake, a staple of celebratory gatherings across New York City’s diverse communities. For local residents and visitors navigating the bustling streets under the elevated 7 train, Capy offers a focused culinary experience that celebrates tradition through a variety of modern flavor profiles. Whether you are searching for a centerpiece for a family birthday or a sweet afternoon treat, this establishment provides a glimpse into the rich dessert culture that defines this corner of Queens.
As a professional pastry shop, Capy Tres Leches Cake operates with a specific mission: to elevate the humble sponge cake into something extraordinary through their signature soaking process. While the neighborhood of Corona is teeming with culinary options, Capy maintains its presence by specializing in a niche that requires precision and a deep understanding of texture. The shop serves as a local resource for those who appreciate the creamy, indulgent nature of a well-made tres leches, and it has become a recognizable name for those living along the Roosevelt Avenue corridor. The atmosphere is functional and focused on the product, reflecting the fast-paced, high-demand environment of a New York neighborhood bakery.
Location and Accessibility
Capy Tres Leches Cake is prime-positioned at 102-23 Roosevelt Ave, Corona, NY 11368. This location is quintessentially New York, situated directly on one of the borough’s most iconic thoroughfares. For those utilizing public transportation, the shop is exceptionally easy to reach. It is located between the 103rd St - Corona Plaza station and the 111th St station on the 7 train, making it a convenient stop for commuters traveling between Manhattan and Flushing. Numerous bus lines, including the Q23 and Q58, also serve the immediate vicinity, ensuring that the shop is accessible from virtually any part of Western Queens.
The accessibility of the Roosevelt Avenue location makes it an ideal spot for a quick "grab-and-go" purchase during a daily commute or a dedicated trip for a weekend celebration. While the street level is often crowded with the sights and sounds of the neighborhood’s famous street vendors and retail stores, the shop provides a steady landmark for dessert seekers. Like much of this area, street parking is extremely limited and highly sought after; therefore, taking the subway or walking from nearby residential blocks is the most efficient way for locals to visit. The shop's presence in this high-traffic zone ensures that it remains a central part of the community’s daily shopping habits.

What is worth choosing
When entering a shop dedicated to tres leches, the obvious choice is to explore the various iterations of their namesake product. For those who prefer classic profiles, the Traditional Vanilla Tres Leches is the benchmark of their menu, showcasing the quality of their milk soak. However, for a truly modern New York experience, the "Chocofresa" (Chocolate Strawberry) or the "Cookies and Cream" versions offer a delightful twist on the classic sponge, incorporating textures that are particularly popular among younger patrons and those looking for something beyond the standard palette.
The "Cappuccino" Tres Leches is another standout, especially for coffee lovers who enjoy a dessert that balances sweetness with the robust notes of espresso. This version often features layers that include a touch of cinnamon and walnut, adding a sophisticated depth to the creamy cake. If you are planning a celebration, the custom-designed cakes are highly recommended for their visual appeal. Customers often praise the shop for its ability to create clean, attractive designs that stand out at any party. It is always advisable to inquire about the "made-on" date to ensure you are getting the freshest possible experience, as the texture of a tres leches cake is at its peak when the sponge has perfectly absorbed the milk without becoming overly saturated. Whether you are grabbing a single slice to enjoy while walking through Corona Plaza or carrying a large box home for a family dinner, choosing one of their signature infused flavors is the best way to see what makes Capy a unique fixture on Roosevelt Avenue.
In conclusion, Capy Tres Leches Cake provides a focused and culturally resonant service to the Corona community. By specializing in a beloved traditional dessert and offering a wide range of modern variations, it has secured its place as a go-to pastry shop for many New Yorkers. Its convenient location and dedication to cake design make it a practical and festive choice for anyone looking to celebrate with a taste of Queens.

This was highly recommended and it was highly disgusting!!! The cake of tres Leche doesn't even taste sweet. It doesn't taste like anything! It was grainy, it taste like refrigerator! I bought it on a Thursday and asked the guy when was it made Monday!!! Like wthhhhh...I spent 60 bucks for ewww...then the frosting is nasty too...nah nah nah nah nah...cant compare at all with magnolias cake. I will never buy it again. Also...the most important part...the cake had chocolate chips in it...disgusting 🤢

The decor of Capy is modern, warm and clean with brilliant red color. The staff was friendly, welcoming and introduced their desserts with passion. However, the options were limited in the evening. We visited at around 7pm and they ran out all Tres Leches Cakes but a slice of Peach flavor. We got the last slice of the peach tres leches cake and a cup of cappuccino flan. We are fans of tres leches cakes but theirs wasn’t our type. The cake was kind of dry and the icing was too artificially sweet. We were disappointed and not willing to try again. The flan was decent, creamy, which is much worthier to get than the cakes.

Went for two slices of cake, I got a dulce de leche slice and a peach slice. The woman that was in the front could not be bothered to answer which slice was which and very judgmental to whoever came through the door, rolling her eyes to a coworker when she saw a lady that was overweight and making signs to her. When we got home and tried the dulce the leche cake it was dry, but the peach cake was worse it was rancid, I had to spit it out. Terrible in everything, there are many capy locations do set foot on this one.

This bakery specializes in Tres leches cakes ( three milk cakes) They are amazing. I have been buying my husband birthday cakes here for the last 14 years! He only eats tres leches cakes and is very picky.
