What is worth choosing
When you visit Tulcingo Bakery, the primary draw is their incredible variety of authentic Mexican "pan dulce." If you are looking for the quintessential experience, you cannot go wrong with their conchas. These iconic sweet breads, topped with a crunchy, shell-like sugar crust, are a mainstay of the bakery and are best enjoyed fresh in the morning. While some patrons have noted that prices for individual pastries can range between $4 and $5, the size and quality of the goods often justify the "special treat" status they hold for many locals.
However, the true "insider's choice" at Tulcingo Bakery is the sweet cheese bear claw danish. This particular pastry has developed a dedicated following, with some customers admitting they have been stopping in specifically for this treat for over a dozen years. The combination of flaky, buttery dough and a rich, sweet cheese filling makes it a formidable companion for a morning cup of coffee. It is the type of pastry that commuters often find themselves eating while still waiting on the subway platform, unable to resist its appeal until they get home or to the office.
In addition to the sweets, don't overlook the practical side of Tulcingo. If you are preparing a meal at home, their selection of avocados is often noted for being high quality, making it a convenient "one-stop shop" for both dessert and dinner essentials. While the bakery does not currently serve brewed coffee—a common wish among the regular clientele—the proximity to other local cafes means you can easily grab a hot drink nearby to pair with your fresh concha or bear claw. Whether you are looking for a taste of nostalgia or a high-quality breakfast pastry, Tulcingo Bakery remains a top-tier choice in the Corona food scene.

Amazing Mexican bakery (except for the price!). I felt like I was back in Mexico. HUGE selection of baked goods. And they also sell avocados! 🥑. Pastries run $4 to $5 each. They should sell some coffee to go with the conchas! 🥐

short: great bakery at very reasonable prices (affordable) long: I have been going to this bakery for over one dozen years; almost every time that I go visit my mother. At times, I feel a bit guilty, that despite having a backpack almost full of homemade meals that will last me several days, I sneak into this place before getting on the train to get the sweet cheese bear claw danishes. I can't even wait until I get home. I start eating it while I'm waiting for the train to arrive, and then along the commute, I sneak in a few more bites. I really enjoy them most with coffee in the morning. I take one at a time to the office and know my morning will be delicious. The place is always very clean. It is very spacious, and they offer a wide variety of baked goodies. Highly recommended.

THEY SCAMMED ME. 14 dollars for 3 pastries. Not to mention the desserts tasted terrible. It was so obvious they overcharged me purposely seeing that I was a tourist. Don’t be fooled by the nice atmosphere go to the local bakeries and not this fancy rip off that tastes awful.

The fruit tart was just HORRIBLE. It was a very thin layer of crust and a MOUNTAIN of CREAM. A fruit tart does not have that filling of cream and definitely not THAT MUCH. Guest left piles of cream. The cream was not even tasty just tasted like a bunch of plain whipped cream.
