What is worth choosing
When visiting La Nueva Ambatenita Bakery, the most recommended choice is to explore their vast selection of traditional breads. These items are the backbone of any Ecuadorian bakery and are often what draw the local crowds in the early morning hours. Pairing a fresh, warm roll with a cup of their coffee is a quintessential Corona experience. The bread is known for its authentic texture, often prepared in the rural style that emphasizes a satisfying density and a crust that is perfect for dipping. For those who enjoy a simple yet high-quality breakfast, this combination is unbeatable.
For visitors stopping by during the middle of the day, the lunch plates are definitely worth choosing. These meals are designed to be filling and reminiscent of home cooking. While the menu often features simple, rural-style dishes, they offer a genuine look into the everyday diet of the Ecuadorian highlands. For about 18 dollars, you can experience a hearty meal that stands apart from the more commercialized food options found in busier parts of the city. It is an ideal choice for someone who values authenticity and wants to support a local business that stays true to its cultural roots.
Finally, if you are a sports fan or a visitor to Citi Field, choosing to stop at La Nueva Ambatenita for a quick "gem" find is a smart move. Instead of the typical fast food options, picking up a few specialty pastries or a savory snack to enjoy on your walk to the stadium adds a unique flavor to your outing. The variety of items means you can easily find a snack that is portable and delicious. Whether you are there for the cultural connection or simply a good cup of coffee, the bakery offers a slice of Ecuadorian life that is well worth the visit in the heart of Queens.

I asked for a Guatita and it was without taste, no flavor at all, very disappointing and expensive-$18.00. the bread is not so bad, but the food is not worthy of the price.

Don’t ever pay in this place with your card or anything like it. Only use cash. Be aware of these people !!! They take information front your credit/debit card to use it later on for their own purpose. Plus the food is not even great, they reheat it in a microwave right in front of you. Awful services awful people !!!!!!!!
