MiraCali IV Introduce
Introduction / Overview
In the heart of one of New York’s most diverse and culturally rich neighborhoods lies MiraCali IV, a dedicated Colombian bakery and eatery that serves as a culinary bridge to South America. Located in the vibrant Jackson Heights section of Queens, this establishment is part of a local tradition that brings the comforting aromas and flavors of Colombia to the streets of New York. For local residents, MiraCali IV is more than just a place to buy bread; it is a community hub where the morning commute begins with a warm pastry and the workday ends with a hearty, traditional meal. The shop is widely recognized for its commitment to providing a wide array of baked goods that remain true to their regional origins, offering an authentic experience for the large Colombian-American population in the area and food enthusiasts alike.
The atmosphere at MiraCali IV reflects the energetic spirit of Roosevelt Avenue. It is a place characterized by its fresh products and friendly service, where the staff strives to maintain a welcoming environment amidst the fast-paced life of the city. While every high-volume establishment faces the challenges of consistency, MiraCali IV has maintained a reputation for serving delicious, high-quality bakery products that capture the "home-cooked" feel many New Yorkers crave. Whether you are looking for a quick snack on the go or a sit-down meal that reminds you of a family kitchen in Cali or Bogotá, this bakery offers a window into the rich culinary heritage of Colombia right in the middle of Queens.
Location and Accessibility
MiraCali IV is perfectly situated at 82-02 Roosevelt Ave, Flushing, NY 11372, USA. While the mailing address may specify Flushing, any true local knows this specific corner as the pulsing center of Jackson Heights. Positioned on the corner of 82nd Street and Roosevelt Avenue, the bakery sits directly beneath the elevated tracks of the 7 train, placing it at one of the most accessible transit points in the entire borough of Queens. This prime location ensures that the bakery is a constant landmark for the thousands of pedestrians who traverse this commercial corridor every day.
Accessibility is one of the primary reasons for MiraCali IV’s popularity. It is located mere steps away from the 82nd St-Jackson Heights subway station, served by the 7 train. This makes it an incredibly convenient stop for Manhattan-bound commuters or those traveling across Queens. Additionally, the area is a major hub for several local bus lines, including the Q32 and Q33, which connect the neighborhood to nearby Elmhurst, LaGuardia Airport, and beyond. For those who prefer to walk, the surrounding blocks are some of the most pedestrian-heavy in New York City, filled with shops, markets, and services. While driving in this area can be challenging due to the density of traffic on Roosevelt Avenue, there are commercial parking lots nearby and metered street parking on the surrounding side streets. The bakery’s prominent corner position makes it an unmistakable destination for anyone navigating the vibrant streets of Jackson Heights.

What is worth choosing
When you step into MiraCali IV, the sheer variety of golden-brown breads and pastries can be overwhelming, but there are certain items that define the Colombian bakery experience. First and foremost, you should choose the Pan de Bono. These traditional cheese breads are a cornerstone of the Colombian diet and are best enjoyed when they are warm and fresh from the oven. Their soft, chewy texture and subtle salty-sweet cheese flavor make them a perfect snack at any time of day. Similarly, the Buñuelos—deep-fried cheese dough balls—are a must-try for anyone looking to experience authentic Colombian street food flavors. They are crispy on the outside and airy on the inside, representing the high standard of baking found at this Roosevelt Avenue location.
For those looking for a beverage, the Avena is a traditional choice that has earned a loyal following. This creamy, oat-based drink is typically spiced with cinnamon and served cold, making it a refreshing and filling accompaniment to a savory pastry. While the shop is a high-volume transit hub where customers should always remain observant of their orders, the quality of the "fresh and delicious" bakery products remains a primary draw. If you have the time to sit down, choosing one of their traditional Colombian meal platters is highly recommended. These meals offer a comprehensive taste of Colombian home cooking, featuring perfectly seasoned meats and traditional sides. Whether you are grabbing a quick buñuelo on your way to the 7 train or sitting down for a full breakfast, choosing MiraCali IV ensures you are experiencing a true neighborhood staple in the heart of Queens.

What a great place to eat! One of the employees stands out for her kindness and excellent service. I went this week in the afternoon, and there's a Mexican girl (she always wears red lipstick) who always treats me well. I asked her about everything they had in the display cases because I wasn't very familiar with the products, and unlike many others, she explained what each item was and gave me an excellent recommendation. She's a very good employee and makes me want to come back for lunch in the afternoon.
