What is Worth Choosing
When visiting Sabor Ecuatoriano Bakery, the choices can be varied depending on your personal taste and how much time you have to spare. For many, the highlight is the sheer memorability of the food. It is the kind of place where fans suggest buying "two of each" because the flavors are so distinct that you will likely find yourself wanting a second helping later in the day. If you are looking for a true taste of the region, exploring their traditional Ecuadorian breads is a great starting point, as these are the backbone of any authentic South American bakery.
The bakery also offers a selection of empanadas, including a version of the Colombian-style empanada. These are particularly popular for those who enjoy a starchier, more filling snack, as they are generously packed with potatoes alongside beef or chicken. For the savory-toothed New Yorker, these provide a dense and satisfying bite that is perfect for sustaining a long day of walking through the city. However, it is always wise to be specific with your order if you have preferences for fillings to ensure you get exactly what you are craving.
If you are stopping by for a drink, particularly tea, local advice suggests being very clear with the staff about your preferences regarding milk and sugar. Like many traditional spots, the default can be quite sweet and creamy, so asking for adjustments will ensure your beverage is exactly to your liking. Despite the mixed nature of service speed typical of a busy neighborhood shop, the draw of Sabor Ecuatoriano Bakery remains its unique place in the Queens food scene. It is a spot where the bold flavors of Ecuador are accessible to everyone, making it a worthy stop for anyone looking to eat like a true local in New York.

I live around and often in a hurry, which leaves me to pick quick meals or breakfast in these local food venues. This place lacks flavor, and good customer service. They don't mind you standing around until they finally come around and attend you with such dislike. If u are a tea drinker make sure u tell them not to add sugar, and not to add too much milk. The signature Colombian Colombian empanadas sucks, they are mostly filled with potatoes than chicken or beef. The staff stands around too long. My advice, find a better spot.

A range of Ecuadorian and regional pastries, cakes, and sweet treats. Didn’t really know what was what, so grabbed me a couple of beef empanadas to go. Great experience.

Renown for ethnic menu lunch combo meal, it isn't just a bakery. Good-sized portions at a fair price. Spacious with plenty of seating BUT has small set of steps to descend, as it's what's called an above ground basement. Ambience is subdued blue collar / construction Latin American, noise level is low- Ecuadorians aren't usually loud or boisterous.
