Two Geese Bakery Introduce
In the high-energy environment of Lower Manhattan, where the Financial District meets the historic spirit of the World Trade Center campus, locals are always on the lookout for a reliable spot that feels like home. Two Geese Bakery, located within the vibrant Gansevoort Liberty Market at 101 Liberty St, has established itself as exactly that. It is a place that defies strict categorization, blending the artisan craft of a high-end pastry shop with the grounded, approachable nature of a classic New York juice bar. Managed by executive pastry chef Jessica Lee, whose background in NYC’s fine dining scene brings a level of precision to every item, the bakery serves as a vital pit stop for thousands of professionals and residents in the 10006 zip code.
The name "Two Geese" might evoke specific cultural imagery, but for the regulars who walk through the doors of the Gansevoort Market, the experience is pure "melting pot" New York. The bakery doesn't lean too heavily into a single ethnic tradition, instead offering a wide-ranging menu that captures the best of diverse culinary worlds. From flaky croissants that rival those found in Montreal or Italy to inventive "boozkies" (booze-infused cookies), the offerings reflect the city's unique ability to take global inspirations and turn them into something quintessentially American. It is a destination where you can just as easily find a functional juice to cure a physical ailment as you can a decadent red velvet cookie to brighten a rainy afternoon.
Location and Accessibility
Positioned at 101 Liberty St, New York, NY 10006, Two Geese Bakery sits at a legendary crossroads of commerce and history. Located inside the Gansevoort Liberty Market, near the entrance to the Oculus at Westfield World Trade Center, the bakery is exceptionally easy to find. For New Yorkers navigating the subterranean world of the subway, the accessibility is top-tier. The shop is steps away from the World Trade Center station (E train), the Cortlandt Street station (N, R, W trains), and the sprawling Fulton Street hub (2, 3, 4, 5, A, C, J, Z trains). This density of transit makes it one of the most convenient locations in the city for a quick morning detour or a mid-day break.
The bakery operates with a schedule designed for the neighborhood's rhythm. On weekdays, it opens early at 7:00 AM to catch the first wave of commuters and remains open until 7:00 PM for the after-work crowd. Weekend hours are slightly more relaxed, catering to shoppers and tourists exploring the nearby One World Observatory or the 9/11 Memorial. Being a part of a larger food hall means the atmosphere is always lively, though the bakery manages to maintain its own distinct corner where the scent of fresh coffee and baking dough provides a welcoming sensory anchor amidst the bustle of the Financial District.

Features / Highlights
What keeps the locals coming back to Two Geese Bakery, even with so many options in the FiDi area, are the specific highlights that define the brand’s identity. These features showcase the bakery’s commitment to both innovation and traditional comfort:
- The "Boozkie": A signature creation by Chef Jessica Lee, these are large, decadent cookies infused with alcohol, featuring flavors like Rum Soaked Butter Pecan and Coffee with Whiskey Ganache.
- Functional Juices: Unlike generic juice bars, Two Geese focuses on "real ingredient" solutions for specific situations, such as tummy aches or iron deficiencies.
- Artisanal Hybrid Pastries: The "croffle" (a croissant-waffle hybrid) is a standout highlight, offering a crunchy yet soft texture that has become a social media favorite.
- High-End Pedigree: The influence of a fine-dining executive pastry chef is evident in the technical execution of items like the matcha canele and almond croissant.
- Diverse Lunch Selection: The "Monster B.L.T." and "California Lovin' Chicken" wrap are neighborhood favorites known for their generous portions and fresh ingredients.

What is worth choosing
If you are standing at the counter for the first time, it is highly worth choosing the Rum Boozkie. This butter pecan cookie is soaked in rum and offers a depth of flavor that is rare for a standard bakery cookie. It perfectly represents the "Two Geese" philosophy of elevated American fare. For those visiting during the morning hours, the Korean Street Toast (Shijang Toast) is a must-try. Served on warm brioche with egg, cabbage, onion, and Swiss cheese, it provides a savory, satisfying start to the day that is much more inspired than your standard bagel-and-cream-cheese.
For health-conscious New Yorkers, choosing a juice specifically for your current needs—whether it’s an iron boost or an immunity shot—is a smart move. The staff is knowledgeable about the "situational" benefits of their real-ingredient blends. If you are in the mood for something truly indulgent, the Strawberry Nutella Croffle is large enough to share but delicious enough that you likely won’t want to. While the service can occasionally be busy, especially during peak dispatch hours in the kitchen, the quality of the product remains a constant draw. Choosing Two Geese Bakery means choosing a sophisticated, fresh, and uniquely New York experience right in the heart of the city’s financial hub.
Whether you’re stopping in for a restorative juice on a rainy New Year’s Eve or picking up a box of boozkies for the office, Two Geese Bakery stands out as a high-quality, authentic piece of the Lower Manhattan community. At 101 Liberty St, it’s not just a bakery—it’s a necessary part of the New York routine.

Fresh, real ingredients juices for any situation. Tummy ache they got you, need iron, they got you, just a smoothie on a rainy New Year’s Eve, they got that too! Bakery goods are very close to items I tried in Italy and Montreal, but I did not pick up on a heavy ethnic or cultural preparation of their items, so even though it’s called “two geese” ….. in my best NYC impersonation. I’m gonna say it’s more good ol’ melting pot American fare in term of bakery and juices! Still love it!

I hate to give such a harsh review considering I've had dozens of interactions here and most of them enjoyable BUT when I see staff treating customers rudely for the offense of being customers...well, the gloves come off. The cashiers generally are really friendly. There's one man (typically with a cap and/ or glasses), however, who dispatches orders from the kitchen - which is often backed up btw - who is regularly rude to customers. Today, I watched him literally toss a bag at one customer who politely asked for one. To another customer who inquired about her order status, he annoyedly pointed to the orders that hadn't been picked up. For those looking to start your day with a smile, I'd suggest you walk on by. At this point, I'M looking at other local options. And for the dispatcher, try some of your delicious coffee and take a breath.

Usually, I don't post a review, but I can say I found a gem!!! I came to do shopping and never knew there is a bakery in this building within Market Hall, downstairs.. Since I had a sweet tooth I went with Double Chocolate cookie, which was great you could tell it is so fresh and surprisingly it has filling with chocolate ganache inside, but this is not all after that I tried Tiramisu Croffle it looks like waffle, but waaayyy better than that:) on the top Tiramisu cream that is Fireee... These sweets are the best so far that I have tried in NYC, and there also big selection of special drinks they have that I am looking forward to try especially Strawberry Matcha latte looks sooo gud!! Anyways if you get to be around WTC and craving for something sweet or want to explore something different and new I recommend this place!!!!! Besides that there are many food vendors with variety of food, in this Market Hall, you name it, that I am going to try on my next visit!!

I stumbled upon this place while heading for subway station in world trade center after work. This place was located inside a food court called gansevoort market. This place is definitely a hidden gem! I tried the chicken prosciutto pesto and it was great! I asked to add jalapeños for a kick & they were happy to do it for me. Also tried the tiramisu croffle 💣💣
