The atmosphere at Grabstein's Bagels is intimate and welcoming. Described by frequent visitors as a "cute small bagel shop," it avoids the impersonal feel of larger chains, opting instead for a cozy environment that makes you feel like a regular from your very first visit. Whether you are grabbing a quick bite before heading to work or looking for a spot to enjoy a slow morning, the shop provides a sense of community that is increasingly rare in the heart of Manhattan. The shop manages to maintain a friendly, professional tone that resonates with the diverse crowd of students, professionals, and long-time residents who call this part of New York home.
Location and Accessibility
Convenience is key when it comes to the New York morning routine, and Grabstein's Bagels is perfectly positioned to serve. You can find the shop located at 651 Broadway, New York, NY 10012, USA. Situated on one of the most iconic thoroughfares in the world, the shop is easily accessible to anyone spending time in the NoHo, SoHo, or Greenwich Village areas. Its central location makes it an ideal pitstop for those exploring the local boutiques or heading toward Washington Square Park.
For those relying on the city's transit system, accessibility is excellent. The shop is just a short walk from several major subway hubs, including the B, D, F, and M lines at Broadway-Lafayette St, as well as the 6 train at Bleecker St and the R and W trains at Prince St. This high level of connectivity ensures that no matter where you are coming from in the five boroughs, a fresh bagel is never out of reach. For those who prefer the authentic New York experience of walking the city streets, the shop's Broadway frontage makes it an easy find during a morning stroll.

Features and Highlights
What sets Grabstein's apart from the countless other options in the city is a combination of its product quality and its unique vantage point on Manhattan life. Here are the features that local users consistently highlight:
- Exceptional Iced Lattes: Many visitors stop in specifically for the iced latte, which has earned a reputation for being consistently delicious and perfectly crafted.
- Prime People-Watching: The outdoor seating is a significant draw, offering a front-row seat to the colorful and eclectic parade of people moving through Broadway.
- Cozy Aesthetic: The "cute and small" layout provides a warm, inviting backdrop that feels like a hidden gem amidst the larger commercial buildings of the area.

What is Worth Choosing
If you are planning your first visit to Grabstein's Bagels, there are a few standout items that define the experience. First and foremost, the iced latte is highly recommended. It serves as the perfect cooling companion to a warm, toasted bagel, especially during the warmer months when Broadway is bustling. The coffee quality here rivals many dedicated third-wave coffee shops in the area, making it a dual-purpose stop for both caffeine and carbs.
When it comes to the bagels, it is worth arriving earlier in the day if you have your heart set on specific flavors. Because the shop uses fresh ingredients and small-batch preparation, popular items like the everything bagel or the lox cream cheese are known to sell out due to high demand. However, even when the most famous options are gone, the core quality of the dough remains exceptional. Choosing a classic sesame or poppy seed bagel with a standard cream cheese spread still offers a "very good" experience that reflects the high standards of New York bagel making. Finally, don't miss the chance to sit outside; the combination of a fresh bagel, a great latte, and the view of Broadway is the ultimate New York morning ritual.
Whether you are a local NoHo resident or a visitor looking for an authentic slice of the city, Grabstein's Bagels provides a reliable, charming, and delicious destination that hits all the right notes for a classic Manhattan breakfast.

Cute small bagel shop, variety of bagels, good serving size. Unfortunately when we were there they were out of a lot of stuff (lox cream cheese, everything bagel…) but it was still very good. I liked this place

I have been to this location twice and ordered bacon scallion cream cheese. Both times I was given veggie instead. Bagels are good, not great. Everything seasoning was sparse. Price for a flagel and bacon cc is over $8 after tax and I didn't even get the bacon. Too pricey for a sub par experience

Love me some Grabsteins! They have some BIG bagels and a solid drink menu. I went with a BLT on everything and had it toasted. The house made sauce is incredible. I also ordered an iced mocha latte with oat milk and it was perfection. The meme has every thing you need from plenty of Schmears and spreads to burritos, house made soup. And out meal! If you’re looking to try something sweet, try the Cinnamon Toast Crunch cream cheese. It’s incredible. This is a great spot.
